Sephora shoppers rave over 'sophisticated' Armani perfume that's now 21% off
"This smells like feminine luxury. It's such a complex fragrance. Beautifully crafted. I know fragrance is deeply personal, but this one makes me feel like I could take over the world. It balances power and femininity so well."
Sephora has slashed the price of a 'stop you in your tracks perfume' with thousands of fans. Sí by Giorgio Armani would typically cost £69 for a 30ml bottle but has had 21% knocked off, bringing it down to £54.45.
It opens up with cassis, which may be better recognised as the leaves of blackcurrants, before deepening to a floral heart of May rose and freesia. It's got a classic base of vanilla, patchouli, ambroxan and woody notes.
It was created by the in-house perfumer of Hermès, Christine Nagel who is also credited with 46 perfumes for Jo Malone, including Wood Sage & Sea Salt, £55. Another much-loved scent on salr is Guerlain's Samsara Eau de Toilette Spray - now reduced to £82 (was £110) on The Perfume Shop.
Sí has brought in an average rating of 4.6 out of 5 from across 2,419 reviews. One shopper said: "This smells like feminine luxury. It's such a complex fragrance. Beautifully crafted. I know fragrance is deeply personal, but this one makes me feel like I could take over the world. It balances power and femininity so well."
A second penned: "This is a stop you in your tracks perfume! It's a fragrance that's alluring and sophisticated, pretty yet mysterious. I've been asked by strangers what perfume I'm wearing, and even asked where they could buy it…for their girlfriend! So yes… Si is for me, always."
A third wrote: "This is my signature scent! It's always my go to for a subtle yet intriguing smell. I like scents that invite people in a gentle way and this is one I'll always keep on hand."
A fourth added: "Classy. This scent is very sophisticated. I love wearing this in the winter in my little black dress dripping in diamonds. It is sweet & spicy at the same. I absolutely adore it. To those who say it's too mature, my 13 year old loves it."
There have been mixed takes on the longevity with one shopper saying: "Sample arrived quickly and was well packaged. Unfortunately my partner didn't like the smell of it. He said it was too strong."
Some swing the other way, writing: "I really like this fragrance, classy and spicy without being overpowering. But, it lasts no longer than an hour on me! I guess it's my chemistry - and I'm sad because I would have invested in this."
Application of perfume can have a huge impact on the longevity of a scent. We would always recommend applying perfume directly to clean and freshly moisturised skin with at least one spritz per pulse point. It's also important to store perfume in a cool and dark place such as a cupboard or drawer.

Mother, 29, who was mocked for buying $13K shoes from Hermes responds to her haters as she skips down a dirty street to get Botox
A Sydney woman has subtly hit back at her haters after she accidentally purchased some very expensive Chypre sandals from Hermès. Elle Salagaras, 29, took to her popular TikTok account 'EasternSuburbsMum' to reveal she dropped $13,155 on the shoes because she didn't realise how much they cost. Now the mother-of-three has hit back at the naysayers who mocked her over the fashion faux pas as she shared a clip online of her getting Botox while wearing the shoes. Elle didn't mention the shoes of her eye-watering purchase in the video, instead telling followers she wanted to show them what cosmetic injections she receives. However, as she exited her vehicle and made her way down a dirty street, Elle zoomed the camera in on her feet to show she was wearing the Hermès shoes. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. It was a subtle response to those who knew the debacle she went through when purchasing the accessory. Elle went on to share footage of herself receiving $390 worth of Botox in her brow, upper lip, and nose. It comes just a day after Elle recounted the tale of herself paying far more than she bargained for at Hermès. The luxury footwear she purchased from the French fashion house features beige-coloured crocodile leather and a comfortable shearling lining. They also come with an eye-watering $13,155 price tag—something Elle discovered the hard way when she decided to slip them on and wear them out of the shop. 'We got new shoes... new Hermès Chypres. They're literally gorge,' Elle gushed in a video to her 52,000 followers. Elle said she was so excited to show off her new purchase on the street, she immediately put the shoes on after making the decision to buy them. She thought they would cost thousands less than the price tag but got a rude shock at the cash register. 'I definitely got very confused about the price. Which is my bad,' she admitted. 'I had heard, like, one number... so embarrassing. I went up to the checkout and I already had them on my feet because I was wearing them out of the store. 'She [the cashier] had packed up my other shoes and I was like, "It's fine."' Elle has already shrugged off her fashion 'faux pas' admitting she was 100 per cent behind her high end purchase. 'So, we're committing to the shoe, we're committing to the croc. I should've known... Hermès. But, aren't they gorge?' she said. Many of Elle's followers jumped in to the comments to empathise over her shopping error. 'The price. I'm dead,' one offered, to which Elle replied: 'I'm dead too.' Another, offered: 'I just looked them up and the price omg!!!!' Elle jumped in on that comment too, replying simply with five skull emojis. Others were quick to offer their jealousy over Elle being able to afford such high-end footwear.

Jane Birkin's original Hermès bag to go on sale in Paris
The original Hermès Birkin handbag, the first one ever produced and owned by Jane Birkin herself, will be auctioned in Paris next month. Birkin, the British-French actress, was gifted the prototype Birkin bag, often described as the world's most coveted fashion accessory, but sold the 'old faithful' to raise funds for an Aids charity in 1994. The bag was inspired by a chance meeting between Birkin and Jean-Louis Dumas, then the chief executive of Hermès, on a flight in 1984. Birkin's wicker basket spilt its contents, prompting her to say: 'The day Hermès makes one with pockets, I will have that.' Dumas replied: 'But I am Hermès and I will put pockets in for you.' Birkin sketched her ideal bag on a travel sickness bag and gave the design to Dumas, who eventually gave her the first bag he produced from it. Vintage Hermès bags now sell for more than £300,000. • Jane Birkin carried a £10k bag with an air of 'Oh, this old thing' Sotheby's will now auction the original black leather bag at its Fashion Icons sale on July 10. It will go on display at Sotheby's New York this weekend before it goes under the hammer near Birkin's home in Paris. Its first public exhibition was at Sotheby's Paris last autumn. Birkin's initials are embossed on the black leather, which is covered in glue residue from her Unicef and Médecins du Monde stickers. The bag has a shoulder strap, unlike more colourful recent versions. It splits the difference between the 35cm and 40cm standard Birkin models, with a width and height of 35cm and a depth of 40cm. The bag's hardware was made from gilded brass before it was later replaced with gold plating. The zips and bottom studs also differ from modern Birkin bags. Birkin, who died aged 76 in 2023, was known for keeping her nails short and the original bag has a nail clipper hanging from a chain inside. The 'original' was one of five Birkin bags gifted to the actress and it was said to be her favourite. After it started to show wear and tear, she sold it to an unnamed buyer to raise funds for an Aids charity. In 2011, Birkin told Vogue: 'One bag is already quite enough. Any bag that's with me will take the same course as me. It will take the same airplanes, and will be squashed in the same way and will be used as a cushion in airports.' She called the bag a 'rather trivial piece of luggage'.
