SITHA App Launches in Telangana: A Revolutionary Platform to Empower Women Through Gig Work
Hyderabad: The much-awaited SITHA App, a pioneering gig-based platform designed to empower women through flexible, skill-based earning opportunities, was formally launched today by Mr. Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Hon'ble Minister for IT, Electronics & Communications, Industries & Commerce, and Legislative Affairs, Government of Telangana.
US based entrepreneur, philanthropist and community leader Jhansi Reddy Hanumandla and Sarita Venkatesh, the Global Head of the Global Mobility Group at Wipro also attended to grand launch at Trident Hyderabad.
The launch event witnessed the presence of Ms. Swathi Nelabhatla, Founder of Sitha App and SheJobs, who shared her vision of financial independence and flexibility for women across India and beyond.

'For progress of the society, we must focus on empowerment. We must build Telangana where women must not be forced to choose between dreams and duty,' he added.

Also gracing the occasion were celebrated film director Mr. Harish Shankar and acclaimed actress and entrepreneur Ms. Sree Leela, lending their support to this social impact mission.

New Delhi: There has been a surge in private investments in the last 11 years, with Indian startups and emerging entities attracting significant private funding to the tune of over $150 billion in the past decade, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said on Thursday. More than Rs 22,900 crore have been invested in over 1,270 startups via the government's Fund of Funds for Startups scheme. "India is embracing technology like no other! This digital transformation is the outcome of the forward-looking vision and timely policy interventions under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The digital revolution, which began 11 years ago, is entrenched in almost every policy-making and public welfare scheme delivery with elaborate plans on how to bring benefits to the poor, downtrodden and marginalised sections. Prime Minister Modi took to X on Thursday and wrote about "leveraging the power of technology in bringing innumerable benefits for people". Goa IT dept designated to issue right of way NOCs
Panaji: The state cabinet on Wednesday designated the department of information technology, electronics, and communications (DITE&C) as the issuer of all permissions/NOCs under the Telecommunications Right of Way (RoW) Rules, 2024. The rules allow telecom service providers to put up infrastructure, such as cables and towers, on public or private property. State government directed all other line departments to conduct surveys, prepare reports, and submit them to DITE&C for processing the permissions/NOCs for telecommunication infrastructure on the RoW eServices Portal developed by the Centre, within the RoW Rules' deadline. The new Telecommunications Act, 2023, was enacted by Parliament and came into effect on June 26, 2024. Subsequently, Telecommunications Right of Way Rules, 2024, were enacted and came into force on January 1, 2025. The new rules replace the previous rules/policy and introduce new regulatory provisions. These rules aim to help in speeding up the expansion of telecommunication infrastructure, enhancing connectivity, and reducing procedural delays. The Indian Telegraph Act, 1885, was replaced by the Telecommunications Act, 2023, and the Indian Telegraph Right of Way Rules, 2016, were replaced by Telecommunications (Right of Way) Rules, 2024. The Goa Telecom Infrastructure Policy, 2020, becomes infructuous by virtue of the act. Considering the importance of implementing the directions in Goa, state government adopted the new Telecommunications Act, 2023, and the Telecommunications (Right of Way) Rules, 2024. The Goa Telecom Infrastructure Policy, 2020, stands withdrawn by the operation of law to give way to the new Telecommunications (Right of Way) Rules, 2024. All state government departments, urban and local bodies, and government corporations in the state must implement the Telecommunications Act, 2023, and the Telecommunications (Right of Way) Rules, 2024.
