In a statement, AKPS informed that the eight individuals, including three women, from Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka, attempted to enter Malaysia through the Bukit Kayu Hitam border checkpoint.
'In total, five men and three women were issued NPM in accordance with Section 8(3) of the Immigration Act 1959/63.

Judge Saiful Bahari Adzmi convicted Wiki Handri on his own guilty plea to a charge under Section 37(1) of the Wildlife Protection Ordinance 1998, punishable under Section 37(2)(a) and read together with Section 29(1)(c) of the same Ordinance. The Section provides for up to two years' jail and a fine of RM25,000 per individual animal part. Wiki committed the offence at a rubber plantation along the Sematan/Telok Melano road in Lundu at about 6.27pm on Aug 14, 2025. According to the facts of the case, a team comprising Sarawak Forestry Corporation and Marine Police Force personnel acted on intelligence reports and detained the accused on suspicion of illegally possessing turtle eggs. A search of a black plastic bag uncovered 93 marine turtle eggs for which the accused failed to produce any valid permission or licence from the Controller of Wild Life. It was established that the turtle eggs were from the Cheloniidae family, classified as a Totally Protected Animal under Part I of the First Schedule of the Wild Life Protection Ordinance. PUTRAJAYA, Aug 19 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has identified the individual behind the TikTok account 'Dato' Prof Dr Tunku Iskandar', who was found impersonating a pathologist and claiming to have been involved in the post-mortem of Form One student Zara Qairina Mahathir. The Ministry of Health confirmed that the suspect was not a pathologist, MCMC said in a statement today. 'The individual was traced near Kota Damansara late last night based on information from the statements of two people who had also joined the account's 'TikTok Live' session.
