Will Lil Wayne Make a Stop For Deion Sanders, Colorado on 'Tha Carter VI' Tour?
Will Lil Wayne Make a Stop For Deion Sanders, Colorado on 'Tha Carter VI' Tour? originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Lil Wayne is releasing his new album, Tha Carter VI, and announced 36 dates on his upcoming tour. The series of stops serve as a celebration of all of the rapper's Carter albums over the past two decades. It kicks off this week at Madison Square Garden in New York City and wraps up Oct. 2 in West Palm Beach, Fla. One of the noticeable omissions in the tour schedule was no stops in Colorado, which begs the question about a possible secret show coming at the University of Colorado in Boulder? Deion Sanders and the Buffs have welcomed Lil Wayne to campus several times and his agency now represents both Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders. While Young Money is set to handle all of Hunter's on-field representation, he will reportedly remain with SMAC Entertainment for his off-field representation. It's the same agency that helped him secure NIL deals during his time at Colorado, including a major deal with Grammy Award-Winning rapper performed a sold out show at CU Events Center before the 2024 spring game and was on hand for a few games last year. Shedeur opened for him with his hit 'Perfect Timing'. Wayne was with Hunter in New York for his historic Heisman win and was also invited to the wedding for the two-way Jacksonville Jaguars' star last clear there is interest for Lil Wayne to bring his show back to Boulder. Whether that will come on this cycle or not will be a surprise. This story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on Jun 3, 2025, where it first appeared.
