Jessie J reveals she will undergo surgery after ‘early breast cancer' diagnosis

Jessie J has told fans she has been diagnosed with breast cancer, and will have surgery after performing at Capital's Summertime Ball later this month.
The Price Tag singer, 37, said in an Instagram video she has spent much of her recent time undergoing tests.
'I was diagnosed with early breast cancer,' she said.

Jessie, whose full name is Jessica Cornish, said she announced her diagnosis publicly to help her process the news, and to show solidarity with others who are going through a similar experience.
She said: 'I know how much sharing in the past has helped me with other people giving me their love and support and also their own stories. I'm an open book.
'It breaks my heart that so many people are going through so much similar and worse—that's the bit that kills me.'
Jessie has suffered with ill health throughout her life, having been diagnosed with a heart condition at eight years old, having a minor stroke aged 18, and briefly going deaf in 2020.
The London-born singer welcomed her son, Sky Safir Cornish Colman, in 2023, having miscarried in November 2021.
She is scheduled to perform at Capital's Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium on Sunday June 15.
The NHS advises women to see their GP if they have any abnormal changes in the breasts or nipples, a lump or swelling in the breast, chest or armpit, or a pain in the breast or armpit that does not go away.
Other symptoms include a change in the appearance of skin of the breast, such as dimpling or redness, a change in breast size or shape, nipple discharge, and a change in the shape or look of your nipple.

BBC doctor says 40p item will 'sort out frazzled hair'
The doctor often appears on BBC's Morning Live BBC's Dr Punam Krishan has urged people to try a "cheap" hair treatment that "anyone can do". Taking to Instagram to share a video of her getting the treatment, she listed all the benefits. She said: "On arrival to India, my Nani ma took one look at my hair and literally sat me down to sort it out! I grew up having weekly coconut oil head massages. "It's the done thing in Indian culture and coming from an Ayurvedic family, this was a norm for us. BREAST cancer is the most common type of cancer in the UK. The majority of women who get it are over 50, but younger women and, in rare cases, men can also get breast cancer.
