Hollyoaks star 'ties the knot with businessman fiancé she met on aeroplane'

Hollyoaks star Caroline Koziol has reportedly married her fiancé Phil Thornett after first meeting him on an aeroplane. The actress, who is best known for her role as Katja on the long-running soap, went public with her relationship six years ago and has now walked down the aisle with her closest friends and family attending the ceremony.
According to reports, the gorgeous couple tied the knot in the countryside at a ceremony attended by their family and friends including former Hollyoaks co-star Rory Douglas Speed, who is known for his role as Joel Dexter in the Channel 4 series. Caroline and Rory became close friends on the set of Hollyoaks.
As per The Sun, Caroline reportedly met her now-husband Phil on the plane and quickly fell for him. The Mirror have contacted Caroline for comment.
The actress appeared on Hollyoaks for a short stint in 2021 where she portrayed a Polish immigrant named Katja. Her character was the unsuspecting van driver of laptops that Warren Fox, Felix Westwood and Brad King were going to steal from.
As their plan unfolded, Felix - dressed as a policeman - directed her into a garage but she soon became weary of him when she noticed he wasn't wearing a proper stab vest.
Felix panicked about what to do and tied her up before placing her in the back of the van. During the chaos, Katja managed to escape from him.
While escaping in her van, she accidentally hit Maxine Minniver. Meanwhile, outside of Hollyoaks, Caroline appeared as Mariana in Line of Duty in 2019.
Not only has she appeared in over 20 Bollywood films, she also received a nomination for Best Actress at the Los Angeles Film Festival for her role in the short film, Dream Catcher.
The actress also has almost 200,000 followers on TikTok and entertains fans with her endless, unique sketches and posts.
Speaking about content creation, she previously said: "My followers give me so much, and I've built a community with them. I read every comment, and I'm incredibly grateful for the support I receive.
"However, it wasn't easy to start with. I tried to succeed on TikTok for the past two years, but none of my channels were successful. I kept posting every day for nine months, and through consistent effort, I finally managed to build an audience.
"I found it tricky at the beginning because my videos barely got any views, but I read that consistency is key, so I decided to keep going."

'They then put Angel to the back of the rows, strapped her in the seat. They cuffed her and then the famous TikTok woman, Angel, I believe, got arrested.' The flight landed in Jamaica six hours later than the original time after the crew was forced to make an emergency landing in Canada due to the mum and daughter's behaviour. They were arrested once the plane landed, with footage showing passengers cheering as the pair are lead away from their seats by police. The mum begins shouting in the face of one of the officers while Angel can be seen smiling and telling passengers 'bye'. More Trending Angel's Tiktok account has since been closed. Before the argument broke out, a video uploaded to the account shows Angel drinking with her mum at the airport. TV stars deliver all the iconic looks at the British Soap Awards 2025
One of the biggest nights in a soap star's calendar is upon us as the cast of the nation's favourite serial dramas step on to the red carpet. We are of course referring to the British Soap Awards, which stages its return this year following a one-year hiatus. The typically annual ceremony sees EastEnders, Emmerdale, Coronation Street and Hollyoaks go head-to-head to compete for Best Soap, with the stars of each respective serial up for a cluster of awards. With this year having been a huge one for all four soaps, with time jumps, anniversaries, shock returns and stunts galore – not to mention the incredible, boundary-pushing stories that we all know and love – it's safe to say that they've all pulled out the stops. The awards ceremony, which will air on ITV this Thursday, is currently underway, with the actors having hit the red carpet. Patsy Palmer, who is nominated for Best Comedy Performance, was looking fabulous in a blue crop top, with trousers and a jacket to match. The actress had plenty of storylines over the past year, reprising her iconic EastEnders role as Bianca Jackson, who was famously held prisoner in a lock-up by evil Reiss Colwell. Co-star Gillian Taylforth, who plays Kathy Beale on the BBC One drama, was pictured alongside 80s co-star Anita Dobson, who is up for Best Scene following Angie Watts' unexpected comeback as part of EastEnders 40th anniversary. Our hearts are full. EastEnders' Laura Doddington – aka the formidable Nicola Mitchell – was pictured during the arrivals too. The actress has left quite an impression on viewers as scheming Nicola, who is up for Best Newcomer. And speaking of loved partnerships, Coronation Street favourite Vicky Myers – aka DS Lisa Swain – was pictured on the red carpet wearing a stunning silver dress. She is nominated with Alison King, who plays Carla. The on-screen couple, known as Swarla, have taken fans by storm, amassing a loyal and devoted following online. Luca Toolan, meanwhile, wore a black suit and a bow tie. The soap star is nominated for Scene of the Year for Mason Radcliffe's death. Luca bowed out of his Mason role after just a year, in horrific scenes that saw him fatally stabbed by his brothers. The youngster, was attacked by a zombie knife while protecting Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) who had intervened to help his former bully. After being rushed into hospital, hospital staff worked tirelessly to keep him alive, to no avail. Sarah Platt star Tina O'Brien was also in attendance at the event, wearing a beige dress with silver sparkles on it. More Trending And last but by no means least, the stars of Emmerdale took to the red carpet. Beth Cordingly, who has captivated audiences as Ruby Miligan, was among those in attendance, wearing a black dress. Joe Tate star Ned Porteous, who is up for Best Villain, looked every bit as dapper as his scheming on-sceen alter-ego in a black suit. Amelia Flanagan, meanwhile, wore a black dress as she took to the red carpet.
