WWE has confirmed that Liv Morgan will be out of action for an extended period. The announcement was made during the June 23rd episode of Monday Night Raw.
Morgan, one-half of the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions, suffered a separated shoulder. The injury occurred just seconds into her match against Kairi Sane on the previous week's Raw.
Reports indicated that Morgan would require surgery for the injury. This suggested any upcoming plans, including a rumored match at the Evolution event, would be changed.

WWE Confirms Liv Morgan's Injury Timeline
On Raw, commentator Corey Graves addressed the situation. He provided an official update on Morgan's condition.
Graves confirmed that the injury was serious. He stated that Morgan is expected to miss several months of action.
He explained how the injury occurred during the match with Sane. "Watch Liv's elbow; it jammed her right shoulder," Graves said.
"We understand that Liv Morgan is going to miss several months of action," he concluded.

Future Of WWE Tag Team Titles
The injury has major consequences for the women's division. It has also put the future of the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship in question.
A planned feud between Morgan and the returning Nikki Bella is now off. That program was expected to lead to a major match at the Evolution event in July.
WWE has not yet made an official announcement regarding the tag team titles. However, reports suggest the championships will not be vacated, and a replacement partner for Raquel Rodriguez may be named.
Morgan signed with WWE in 2014, developing her skills in NXT before debuting on the main roster in 2017 as part of The Riott Squad. After the group disbanded, she slowly built a passionate following as a singles competitor, leading to a massive breakout year in 2022.
That year, Morgan won the Money in the Bank ladder match and cashed in the contract on the same night to defeat Ronda Rousey for her first SmackDown Women's Championship. She later found success in the tag team division, winning the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship on two occasions with Raquel Rodriguez.
In 2024, she returned from injury with a more aggressive persona, capturing the Women's World Championship from Becky Lynch.

CM Punk Reveals Major WWE Regret

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. CM Punk has opened up about his legendary rivalry with John Cena, calling the 17-time world champion his "wrestling soulmate." In a new interview, Punk also expressed a measure of regret over his infamous 2014 departure from WWE, lamenting the matches with Cena that never happened. The two icons recently shared the ring one last time at the Night of Champions premium live event in June. Speaking with E! News, Punk reflected on the special chemistry he and his greatest rival shared. "My Wrestling Soulmate" Punk described his on-screen dynamic with John Cena as a "marriage that unfolded on screen that we both needed at the time." He noted the unique crowd reactions their matches and promos would generate. "He was the goody two-shoes, boy scout, good guy that a lot of places booed out of the building," Punk said. "Then I was this despicable... bad guy, and people seemed to love it." This dynamic was the foundation of their historic rivalry in 2011, which is now famously known as the "Summer of Punk." A Legendary Rivalry The feud between CM Punk and John Cena in 2011 is widely considered one of the greatest storylines in modern WWE history. It was ignited by Punk's now-legendary "Pipe Bomb" promo, where he blurred the lines between reality and fiction. The story culminated in a five-star classic at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view, where Punk defeated Cena for the WWE Championship in his hometown of Chicago. WWE/Getty Images Their rivalry was built on a clash of ideologies: Punk as the anti-establishment "Voice of the Voiceless" and Cena as the ultimate company man. This created a special and unpredictable energy every time they were in the ring together. A Decade of "What Ifs" Punk's abrupt and acrimonious departure from WWE in January 2014 put an end to their rivalry. Now, over a decade later, he is reflecting on that decision. "There's a part of me in my head that regrets stepping out because of what more we could have done," Punk admitted. "But it makes it so much sweeter that I'm back now, and I was able to come in here and work with him one last time." With John Cena currently on his year-long farewell tour, their recent match at Night of Champions was the final chapter in their storied history. Punk concluded by saying it "means the world" to him to be back to witness Cena's "ride into the sunset," calling him "the ultimate top guy.

Jennifer Lopez reveals whether she'd get married for fifth time after Ben Affleck divorce

Jennifer Lopez has shared her stance about tying the knot again. The 55-year-old actor quipped about getting married a fifth time, nearly a year after her divorce from Ben Affleck, during her concert in Barcelona, Spain, Tuesday. In one moment of the show, which is part of her Up All Night: Live in 2025 tour, she read signs from fans in the crowd , including one that said: 'JLO, marry me?' However, the 'On The Floor' singer said that marriage wasn't in the cards for her anymore. 'I think I'm done with that,' she responded to the fan's sign, in a video of the concert posted to X. 'I've tried that a few times.' Lopez has been married four times. She was married to Ojani Noa from 1997 to 1998 and Cris Judd from 2001 to 2003. After calling off her first engagement to Affleck in the early 2000s, she was married to Marc Anthony from 2004 to 2014. The pair welcomed two children, 17-year-old twins Emme and Max. The Atlas star reconciled her relationship with Affleck in 2021, and they tied the knot a year later. However, Lopez filed for divorce in August 2024, after two years of marriage. 'That doesn't mean it didn't almost take me out for good. It almost did. But now, on the other side of it,' Lopez explained. 'I think to myself, 'F***, that is exactly what I needed. Thank you, god. I'm sorry it took me so long. I'm sorry that you had to do this to me so many times. I should have learned it two or three times ago. I get it.'' She also said that she wasn't necessarily interested in dating someone new. 'I'm not looking for anybody, because everything that I've done over the past 25, 30 years, being in these different challenging situations, what can I f***ing do when it's just me flying on my own,' she said. Meanwhile, Affleck broke his silence on the divorce in March, while speaking to GQ about how he presents himself in the public eye. 'My life is actually pretty drama-free. And so even if I have the same events that people have—I'm sure in your mind you're thinking, Oh, well, you just got divorced,' the Gone Girl star said. 'That's not drama-free. And I understand that instinct, but all of this is pretty adult, and for all the sensational stuff that gets written, if somebody sat down and talked to me about it, and I said, 'Well, this is really the experience,' their eyes would glaze over with boredom.' As part of her tour, Lopez will be performing in Tenerife, Spain on Friday. The event will continue around Europe this summer, with stops in Italy, Poland, Hungary, and Romania. The singer's tour will end with a show in Sardinia, Italy, on August 12. Solve the daily Crossword

Roman Reigns is once again back, but can WWE please find him something worthwhile to do?

Another SummerSlam, another Roman Reigns return. Old hands in this game will remember that it was exactly 12 months ago that 'The Tribal Chief' made his big return to WWE after his post-WrestleMania hiatus, delivering a punch to the jaw of Solo Sikoa to set up the closing shots of SummerSlam 2024. Admittedly, this year isn't a total repeat, given that Reigns technically returned two weeks ago on 'WWE Raw' and is actually booked in a match at this weekend's event (unlike last year, when he was just a run-in with a big-budget entrance). But the overall vibe is distinctly familiar, as WWE rolls out the proverbial red carpet for one of its biggest stars. How big a deal is Reigns? His somewhat sporadic appearances mean that he tends to drop in and out of our pro-wrestling power rankings, which prioritize those wrestlers who've been active recently. But if we were ranking the biggest current names in pro-wrestling by star power alone, Reigns has to be top five. Reigns himself likes to talk about how he 'carried the company' during WWE's post-pandemic era. And if we're being honest, he isn't exaggerating. His 1,316 days as Universal Champion has to be among the best runs in WWE history. It says a lot about how good it was that Reigns even managed to go out on a high, teaming with The Rock to give us one of the most unforgettable main events in WrestleMania history. Following that kind of showing was never going to be easy. But one year after Reigns' last big return, it's hard to shake the conclusion that his latest run didn't really do justice to the levels of excitement that preceded it. Having Reigns feud with Solo Sikoa was always the obvious move given the whole Bloodline dynamic, but it wasn't exactly dynamite television and certainly didn't justify the decision to stretch the angle out over six months. How many permutations on the Bloodline civil war tag match did we get in the run-up to Survivor Series? Even then, the most exciting part was the surprise inclusion of CM Punk, who had nothing to do with the family feud in the first place. When Reigns vs. Sikoa finally wrapped up on January's Netflix premiere of 'Raw,' I figured we might finally get some new singles rivalries for Reigns. At the time, WWE were even teasing a potential rematch with Drew McIntyre given that 'The Scottish Warrior' was out for revenge on the former Bloodline. The whole setup felt like a box-office rivalry in waiting — until it suddenly evaporated into thin air. We did get the Reigns vs. Rollins vs. Punk triple threat at WrestleMania 41, of course. But for all the explosive potential, the build-up to that particular showdown felt rushed and the payoff concentrated mainly on Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman. The next night, Reigns was written off television again following a beatdown from Rollins' new henchman, Bron Breakker. Now we're back to square one, with Roman set to make another return after a four-month absence. Given the two-night format of this year's SummerSlam, there's every chance he ends up as the headline act on Saturday, as he teams with Jey Uso to take on Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. But will this year's return be better than last time around? In truth, it's a shame we're getting another tag match, given what Reigns' last run lacked most of all was a decent singles feud. Would it not have been more exciting to see Reigns go one-on-one with Bron Breakker, the man who took him out in the first place? Although that would mean the WWE having to decide which of the two would be pinned — a decision they seem desperate to avoid when it comes to their upper-card guys. Given the circumstances, this year's match is also slightly overshadowed by the Reigns vs. Rollins rivalry, which remains one of the longest-running and most-celebrated storylines in modern wrestling. We know from WrestleMania XL and this year's Royal Rumble that WWE considers both men to have unfinished business — which begs the question why they didn't give us that match at this year's WrestleMania. (Indeed, we learned from Unreal, the new Netflix documentary on WWE's backstage processes, that Reigns vs. Rollins was the provisional plan for this year.) This stuff really matters, given that we know from Reigns' big interview with Vanity Fair in April that his time in WWE is coming to a close. Not only is Joe Anoa'i looking to break into Hollywood, but he has now put it on record that he wants to retire from wrestling by 2028 at the very latest. Based on his usual work-rate, that means we could have fewer than 10 Reigns matches left. If that's the case, isn't it time WWE gave Reigns a feud he can really get his teeth stuck into? As well as Rollins and McIntyre, they've also teased us with the likes of Jacob Fatu and CM Punk. Reigns himself has suggested we'll see him face Rhodes again to complete their trilogy. And then there's the granddaddy of them all — the match so big it almost derailed the entire plan for WrestleMania XL: Roman Reigns vs. The Rock. Sure, getting 'The Final Boss' aboard might take some work, but it isn't like WWE is short of options in the meantime. They just need to make a choice and stick with it, preferably by the time SummerSlam wraps up. Until then, there's a danger that this latest return goes the same way as the last one: A massive pop in the stadium on Saturday, followed by a handful of tag matches and cameos on the occasional 'Raw' or 'SmackDown' until Reigns takes his next break from the business. A star as big as Roman Reigns deserves better than that — and in all honesty, so do we.
