The Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business brings over $2,500 in value to business owners who value travel and premium experiencesThe Sapphire Reserve for Business is Chase's first business card in the Sapphire line; it joins the Sapphire Preferred and the Sapphire Reserve. While Chase currently offers business credit cards with its Chase Ink line, the Sapphire Reserve for Business is focused on providing more premium offerings. You can think of it as a sort of direct rival to Amex's Business Platinum Card and Capital One's Venture X Business.
The Sapphire Reserve for Business' $795 annual fee makes it one of the most expensive business cards on the market. Its benefits can make it worth it, though, offering over $2,500 in annual value, and the 200,000-point welcome offer for spending $30,000 over the first six months is generous for businesses that can reach that threshold.
Additional employee cards are available at no cost. While they have the same purchase and travel protections, they don't have the higher-tier benefits like lounge access or hotel rewards status.
With a focus on statement credits balancing out the relatively large $795 annual fee, the Sapphire Reserve for Business is following a similar path to other premium credit cards. For prospective cardholders wanting to maximize the card's value, it's important to make sure those credits fit your travel and business needs. Some of the statement credit categories, like DoorDash and Giftcards.com, can be used as for employee appreciation, and Google Workspace contains a suite of AI-powered tools for your business.
The Sapphire Reserve for Business will earn you elevated earnings in the following categories:
Some of these categories are available with other Chase business cards, such as with the Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card (see rates and fees), offering 3X points on advertising and 5X points on Lyft rides. But the Sapphire Reserve for Business stands out by having no cap on advertising spend, plus the 4X points on flights and hotels booked directly is a decent rate of return for frequent business travelers and serves as a good alternative if you can't find what you're looking for via Chase Travel.
The Sapphire Reserve for Business has over $2,500 in annual value for business owners, including credits for travel as well as credits that can help run a company. The value is pretty evenly split, with over $1,300 in travel perks and more than $1,200 toward business expenses.
When using your credit at The Edit properties, cardmembers who stay at least two nights will also get complimentary benefits like a $100 property credit, daily breakfast and room upgrades when available. This benefit is not available for employee cardmembers. Purchases that qualify will not earn points.
After spending $120,000 in a calendar year, you'll unlock the following additional benefits:
The Sapphire Reserve for Business will also be adopting the new Points Boost accelerator, which will allow cardholders to redeem their Ultimate Rewards® points for up to 2X value on select airline tickets and hotels booked through Chase Travel. Otherwise, it's a fixed 1 cent per point.

Travel Like A VIP: Chase Sapphire Reserve Annual Fee Waived For Active-Duty Service Members

Editorial Note: We earn a commission from partner links on Forbes Advisor. Commissions do not affect our editors' opinions or evaluations. The Chase Sapphire Reserve®—one of the priciest and most perk-packed credit cards on the market—is a no-brainer for a select group: active-duty U.S. military members and their spouses. Thanks to protections under the federal Military Lending Act (MLA), Chase is waiving the card's hefty $795 annual fee for qualifying service members. This means military families can unlock top-tier travel benefits and statement credits without the financial sting that typically keeps some people on the sidelines. This isn't just any piece of plastic. The Chase Sapphire Reserve® is known for its rich perks—a $300 annual travel credit, airport lounge access and beefed-up travel insurance—plus generous rewards rates like 8 points per dollar on all purchases through Chase Travel℠, including The Edit℠, 4 points per dollar on flights and hotels booked direct, 3 points per dollar on dining worldwide and 1 point per dollar spent on all other purchases. Earn 100,000 bonus points + $500 Chase Travel℠ promo credit after you spend $5,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening. Credit Score ranges are based on FICO® credit scoring. This is just one scoring method and a credit card issuer may use another method when considering your application. These are provided as guidelines only and approval is not guaranteed. For consumers, these benefits come with one of the highest annual fees in the world of credit cards. For military cardholders, though, the price tag drops to zero. Under the Military Lending Act, banks can't charge active-duty service members more than 36% APR on certain loans and credit products, and annual fees on premium cards are often waived entirely. Chase automatically checks applicants against the Department of Defense database to verify eligibility, so there's no extra paperwork in most cases. Military life often means frequent travel, whether it's Permanent Change of Station (PCS) moves, training assignments or visiting family between deployments. With the Chase Sapphire Reserve®, that travel can be significantly more comfortable (and less expensive): $300 travel credit: Automatically erases the first $300 you spend on travel each year. Automatically erases the first $300 you spend on travel each year. Priority Pass lounge access: Over 1,300 lounges worldwide—a haven during layovers. Over 1,300 lounges worldwide—a haven during layovers. Global Entry application fee credit: This can cut airport security time dramatically. This can cut airport security time dramatically. Robust travel insurance: Trip delays, lost luggage and rental car damage are covered. In other words: fewer headaches, more value. Even with the fee waived, the Sapphire Reserve isn't for everyone. Approval generally requires excellent credit, and while the MLA covers the primary cardholder, it doesn't automatically extend to authorized users unless they also qualify under the Act. And while perks are great, they still require smart use. Many statement credits are split into monthly chunks, meaning unused portions vanish. For example, the much-hyped $120 Lyft credit isn't one large gift card balance. It's doled out in $10 monthly chunks that disappear if you don't use them. Overspending just to trigger a perk can wipe out the value quickly—especially if it's on something you wouldn't normally buy. For active-duty military members and their spouses, the Chase Sapphire Reserve® delivers premium rewards and travel comfort with no annual fee. It's a rare win in the world of high-fee credit cards—but like any powerful financial tool, it works best in the hands of someone who uses it strategically. Or put another way: For service members who already travel, dine out or stay on the move, this could be one of the most valuable cards they'll ever carry. No single credit card is the best option for every family, every purchase or every budget. We've picked the best credit cards in a way designed to be the most helpful to the widest variety of readers.

Discounted Shows For A Year: The Chase Card For Concertgoers

Editorial Note: We earn a commission from partner links on Forbes Advisor. Commissions do not affect our editors' opinions or evaluations. Though concert ticket prices have been slowly declining, Chase Sapphire Reserve® cardholders can score multiple free shows each year. The card offers two statement credits annually for Stubhub and Viagogo purchases, making it the ideal choice to use for booking your next night at the theater, arena tour concert or comedy show. The Chase Sapphire Reserve® underwent a summer glow-up, with Chase adding a plethora of new benefits—including a $300 annual StubHub and Viagogo credit. While this an ideal perk for a live music, StubHub and Viagogo's ticket offerings don't stop at concerts. The platforms cover all kinds of live entertainment offerings, including sports games, theater productions and comedy shows. With the revamp comes the upping of the card's annual fee, from $550 to $795. While this does place the card among the pricier options in the market, Chase has been hard at work packing in new benefits to make the updated fee worthwhile. Cardholders can activate the $300 StubHub and Viagogo credit through the Chase website or mobile app. The credit is split into two $150 statement credits, with the first available to use between January 1 and June 30 and the other between July 1 and December 31. After making a qualifying purchase on StubHub or Viagogo using their Chase Sapphire Reserve card, the statement credit is automatically applied to the cardholder's account. The $300 credit also renews each year through December 31, 2027. In 2024, the average price of a concert ticket sat around $136, according to Pollstar. On ticket resale platforms like StubHub and Viagogo, ticket prices aren't set and may rise or fall depending on the demand for the show, timing and sometimes luck. Scalpers often list tickets on resale sites for exorbitant prices soon after a show announcement to capitalize off buyer panic. Waiting to purchase a resale ticket until the show inches closer might save you money, depending on if demand for it isn't staunch. How each cardholder decides to spend their $300 annual credit is up to them, but with strategic timing, the credit can stretch further and cover more shows. To sweeten the deal, new Sapphire Reserve cardholders can also earn an elevated welcome offer of 100,000 bonus points, plus a $500 Chase Travel℠ promo credit after spending $5,000 on purchases in the first three months from account opening. The offer on this page ends at 9 a.m. ET on August 21, 2025. For those who want to turn their show ticket spending into rewards for a getaway, the Chase Ultimate Rewards® points from this offer can help cover a flight or hotel booking. Or if you're still concert-crazy, these points can also be redeemed for cash back, perfect for building out your budget for the next presale. The Reserve's high annual fee might be a dealbreaker for some, but for frequent travelers and concertgoers, it can be a no-brainer. However, consumers should scour through the card's perks to determine if it provides enough value for its cost before applying.

Chase Home Lending's 'mortgage rate sale' ends today

A leading national mortgage lender has made a creative move to spark business in today's difficult housing market. Chase Home Lending is offering a limited-time "mortgage rate sale." It ends today. Here are the details. The Chase Home Lending mortgage rate sale Chase Home Lending has discounted its rates on mortgages nationwide with a limited-time mortgage rate sale on purchase applications, available only through the end of business today, Monday, Aug. 18. "The offer provides personalized, lockable interest rate discounts for buyers looking to save on their mortgage and is stackable with other discounts the lender offers," a press notice said. How much is the rate discount? Erik Schmitt, digital channel executive at Chase, said the discount can be as much as a quarter-point (0.25%). For example, an offered rate of 6.5% could be cut to 6.25%. That would save a borrower over $20,600 of interest with a 30-year term on a $350,000 loan — and reduce the payment by more than $55 a month. The rate discount is for the life of the loan on fixed-rate mortgages, Schmitt said. For adjustable-rate mortgages, the discount will apply during the initial fixed-rate period of the loan. There are no additional discount points or fees related to the offer, he added. The program is available on all Chase home purchase mortgages, including FHA loans. The discount can be combined, Schmitt said, with other Chase programs, such as its relationship pricing program and the Chase DreaMaker loan, which has flexible credit requirements. The bank also offers grants of $2,500 to $5,000 to borrowers in certain areas. Credit guidelines and income limits may apply. Read more: Find Chase on our list of the best mortgage lenders this month Up Next Up Next How to get the Chase mortgage rate discount To get the discount, qualify for a Chase mortgage, and lock in your interest rate before the day ends. The Chase "Lock and Shop" program protects you from interest rate increases for 90 days. You also have a one-time relock option to get a lower rate if mortgage rates drop during your lock period. "While customers must meet standard loan qualification criteria, there are no additional requirements to qualify for the promotional rate," Schmitt told Yahoo Finance in an email. Lock in your discounted Chase mortgage rate. Today is the deadline to qualify for the mortgage rate discount To qualify, home buyers must lock in a purchase rate by the end of business today, Monday, Aug. 18, 2025. The rate discount is not currently available for refinance loans. Minimum credit score, loan-to-value, and property value guidelines apply, depending on which home loan program you choose. For example, a conventional loan has a higher credit score requirement than an FHA loan. The mortgage rate discount may vary by state. Laura Grace Tarpley edited this article.
