Oman's real estate market surges by 29.6%
Preliminary statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) indicated that the fees collected for all legal transactions amounted to OMR69 million, an increase of 6.4 percent compared to the end of December 2023.
The traded value of sales contracts amounted to OMR1,094.9 million by the end of November 2024, an increase of 4.8 percent, while the total sales contracts reached 13,668, an increase of 3.8 percent.
The traded value of mortgage contracts increased by 46.4 percent, recording OMR2,271.9 million for 20,680 contracts, while the number of exchange contracts reached 1,325 with a value of OMR13.1 million.
The number of title deeds issued by the end of December 2024 amounted to about 233,345, a decrease of 0.9 percent, while the number of title deeds issued for the GCC citizens amounted to 1,447, an increase of 10 percent.

Oman: Hotel revenues rise 18.2% to $366mln in H1 2025
Muscat – Revenues from three- to five-star hotels in Oman grew 18.2% to RO141.21mn by the end of June 2025, compared to RO119.50mn in the same period of 2024, according to the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI). Guests rose 9.2% year-on-year to 1,142,702, up from 1,046,224. Occupancy rates increased 14.4% to 54.7%, compared to 47.8% in the first half of 2024. By nationality, Oceanian visitors recorded the highest growth rate, up 57.9% to 24,681 guests, followed by African visitors, up 40.6% to 7,794. Guests from the Americas increased 22.3% to 39,293, while European arrivals rose 20.1% to 358,190. GCC visitors grew 10.6% to 83,140, and Omani guests rose 5.7% to 384,222. Oman's gas output rises slightly
Oman's gas production edged up by 0.3 per cent to 27.692 billion cubic metres by the end of June 2025 from 27.601 billion cubic metres in the same period of 2024. According to the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI), associated gas production climbed 11.4 per cent to 6.255 billion cubic metres, up from 5.616 billion cubic metres a year earlier. But non-associated gas production fell 2.5 per cent to 21.437 billion cubic metres, compared with 21.985 billion cubic metres in June 2024. The report showed industrial projects remained the main consumers of the produced gas in the Sultanate, receiving 13.814 billion cubic metres, a decline of 5.3 per cent from 14.593 billion cubic metres last year. Gas consumption by power plants rose 1.6 per cent to 7.287 billion cubic metres, up from 7.175 billion cubic metres in 2024. In the oilfields — including industrial zones and companies such as Oman Mining and Oman Cement — usage increased by 13.1 per cent to 6.454 billion cubic metres, compared to 5.709 billion cubic metres last year. Oman's vehicle registrations rise 5.5% to nearly 1.8mln
Muscat – The total number of registered vehicles in Oman reached 1,798,062 till the end of June this year, marking a 5.5% increase compared to the same period last year, according to the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI). Private vehicles made up the majority of registered vehicles, accounting for 79.3% with 1,425,308 units. Commercial vehicles followed at 14.7% (264,913), while rental vehicles represented 2.3% (41,386). The remainder included taxis, government vehicles, and other categories. White vehicles remained the most common on Omani roads, representing 42.3% of the total, or 761,358 vehicles. Silver was the second most popular colour at 12.9% (231,822), followed by grey with 181,140 registered vehicles. In terms of engine capacity, vehicles with engines between 1,500cc and 3,000cc comprised the largest share at 54.5% (979,300), while those with capacities between 3,001cc and 4,500cc made up 22.2% (399,770).
