Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez are engaged. What we know so far about the massive ring that's estimated to be worth 7 figures
Portuguese soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo and Argentine model Georgina Rodríguez announced their engagement on Monday after eight years of dating. The bride-to-be shared the momentous news in an Instagram post, with a photo of her massive sparkler of an engagement ring and the caption, written in Spanish: 'Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives.' The post has since broken the internet, with over 11.3 million likes as of Tuesday morning.
The official details of Rodríguez's bling, like the number of carats and how much it's worth, have yet to be revealed by the power couple and their unknown jeweler, but that hasn't stopped jewelry experts from weighing in.
Here's what we know so far about the 'four C's' (cut, clarity, color and carat) of the impressive diamond ring:
What kind of cut is the diamond?
Abdulla BelJafla, creative director of Gafla, who shared his insight with Vogue Arabia, said the main diamond in the center is an oval-cut, which maximizes its brilliance. 'A perfectly proportioned oval (with a 1.30–1.50 length-to-width ratio) offers symmetry on the hand,' he told the magazine. 'While many ovals exhibit the subtle 'bow-tie effect,' this piece appears to have exceptional light dispersion, minimizing it entirely.'
How many estimated carats are there?
Rodríguez's oval-cut diamond ring is approximately 37 carats in total, according to jewelry experts.
The center oval stone weighs about 35 carats, Tobias Kormind, the managing director of 77 Diamonds in London, told People. He believes the center stone is flanked by oval stones on the sides, about one carat each, set in platinum.
BelJafla also assessed the stunner to be about 37 carats total and estimated the center diamond to be "between 22 and 30 carats," he told Vogue Arabia.
Let's get down to brass tacks. How much do we think this ring is worth?
It's estimated to be worth seven figures.
'If the diamond is natural and of exceptional quality in the D-F color range with flawless or near-flawless clarity, its value could easily exceed around $2 million," Laura Taylor, engagement ring specialist at Lorel Diamonds, told People.
Meanwhile, Kormind estimates that Rodríguez is carrying around a $5 million ring on her finger.
'Experts value the ring between U.S. $4 million and U.S. $5 million,' BelJafla told Vogue Arabia, 'given the size, flawless clarity, and D color of the stones. … A ring like this is quite rare if it's a natural diamond.'
What else do we know about the engaged couple?
Ronaldo, 40, and Rodríguez, 31, have been together for eight years. They have a total of four children together: twins Eva Maria and Mateo, 8 (born via surrogacy); daughter Alana, 7; and daughter Bella, 3. Ronaldo also has a 15-year-old son, Cristiano Jr., from a previous relationship. The couple previously announced the death of Bella's twin brother, Ángel, in April 2022.

Jason Ralph Likes Shady Comment On David Corenswet
If you know Rachel Brosnahan, then you probably also know Rachel Brosnahan's husband, Jason Ralph. He's an actor who's been in stuff like The Magicians and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. He and Rachel have been married since 2018 after meeting on the set of 2014's I'm Obsessed With You: But You've Got To Leave Me Alone. Well, he's currently going viral after allegedly liking a VERRYYY weird comment about Rachel's chemistry with her Superman co-star David Corenswet. This summer, the two appeared in the superhero film as lovers Clark Kent and Lois Lane. Amid its press cycle, Jason received a shady fan comment on a random Instagram photo he posted that encouraged him to "stand up" for himself and "leave" Rachel because of her apparent chemistry with David. It said, "It's genuinely sad to see your career being tucked out to be remembered as a cuckold because your wife couldn't handle herself with her co-actor. Like bro.. let's have some self love and stand up for yourself man, leave her to be with him if she wants that much at the end of the day." Instead of shutting the comment down or, you know, ignoring it, Jason apparently liked it. He has since turned off the comments on the post, but not before fans grabbed the screenshot, which sparked tons of discourse this week when it was shared on Reddit. In short, people thought Jason's reaction was very bizarre. One person said his response was "so embarrassing." "What an idiot," commented another. "Even if they're having marital problems, why would you set up your wife to be attacked by a bunch of losers on the internet? I'm sure thats not gonna make things better." As another viewer stated, "Men are such strange creatures." "So weird," someone added, as another fan wondered, "What the actual F!" "They simply are not lonely enough," another person joked. At the same time, some people defended Jason, speculating that he liked the post jokingly or sarcastically. This viewer said, "I read the like as trolling the commenter, but could be wrong." Another agreed that it did seem "like a sarcastic like to me." "I truly think this is him liking it because it's absurd, not because he's like….hurting deeply," a third insisted. "I know David and his wife, and while I don't know Jason and Rachel personally, this tracks with Jason's social media vibe overall!" One more echoed that thought. "I don't think he liked it as a way of agreeing with the comment," they wrote. "My understanding of the like is that he was trolling the person, because the message is truly ridiculous and shows no understanding of what acting is." Even so, some people thought Jason's reaction was still very strange. "This is a weird thing to like sarcastically as opposed to replying sarcastically," one person said. Well! We've reached out to reps for Rachel and Jason to see if they have any comment on this, but in the meantime, tell me what you make of his Instagram behavior below!

Taylor Swift's got a new album coming. What we know about 'Life of a Showgirl' so far
Taylor Swift's fondness for dropping clues and making sleuths out of her most dedicated fans is on full display this week after she announced her upcoming 12th album, "The Life Of A Showgirl." The pop sensation has left quite a few blank spaces for fans after announcing the album title on her website at 12:12 a.m. Tuesday. Swift's website was then updated with the option to pre-order the record on vinyl, cassette and CD. When will the album be available? Swift has not yet revealed when "The Life Of A Showgirl" will actually come out. The pre-order description on her website said orders will be shipped by Oct. 13, 2025. But made clear that this was not the release date. New music typically releases on Fridays, in part to maximize how well a song or album does on the charts. That means Swift's new album could release any week between Aug. 15 and Oct. 10. What does the album cover look like? It's clear based on the album rollout so far that her new era will be defined by the colors orange and mint green. Taylor Nation, the social media accounts associated with Swift's team, posted an Instagram carousel Monday with 12 photos featuring Swift wearing orange. Her website was later updated with a countdown for the album reveal with an orange glitter background. When "The Life Of A Showgirl" pre-orders dropped, however, no album art was shown. A mint green rectangle with an orange lock was put in the place of any cover art, which Swift later made her social media profile picture. Swift could reveal the album art during Wednesday's episode of the "New Heights" podcast, hosted by boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother, Jason. In a teaser clip posted Tuesday morning, Swift is speaking to Jason Kelce when she pulls out a vinyl case with "T.S." in orange on it. She then pulled out what appeared to be the record with the artwork blurred out. 'This is my new brand new album, 'The Life of a Show Girl,' Swift said, as the retired Philadelphia Eagles center screamed in excitement. Fans are doing their best Sherlock impressions With so little to — but so much — to go, fans are in a tizzy trying to decipher what clues Swift may have dropped about the new album. Her website updated Wednesday with a countdown four and half hours before 7 p.m. ET, the podcast release time. The screen showed a door in the spotlight slowly lowering to a small glitter orange square with a lock on it. It's the same orange lock seen over the album cover on the pre-order. The door is also the same one seen in visuals during 'The Eras Tour' at the end of the show when Swift performed 'Karma.' The padlock appears to have an imprint of a key in the same shape as 'The Eras Tour" stage. Swifties, the self-proclaimed title for the singer's fanbase, have already reflected on the most obvious Easter eggs she left behind. The singer's tour performance of "I Can Do It With A Broken Heart" had a showgirl theme. There were also many instances where she wore orange throughout "The Eras Tour," as made obvious by the Taylor Nation post on Monday. Fans also pointed out that the last show of the tour was Dec. 8, or 12/8, and that the album was announced Aug. 12, or 8/12. Eagle-eyed sleuths are speculating that either the album or a lead single will release Sept. 12, because the Taylor Nation carousel was posted at 9:12 a.m. on Monday. Swift's profile on Spotify uploaded a new playlist, titled 'And, baby, that's show business for you," around the time of the album name reveal Tuesday. The playlist featured all the songs Swift made with producers Max Martin and Shellback in alphabetical order. Swifties believe this could be the sign she's diverging from her good friend Jack Antonoff, who has been the producer on her most recent albums, for "The Life of a Showgirl."
