Summer is here, and it is everyone's favorite time of the year, scouting time. Every year, we do Summer Scouting to preview college football for Bucs fans, but also give them an idea of names to follow and watch in the fall as needs pop up for Tampa Bay.

Player Summary
Iapani Laloulu immediately emerged as one of the top-tier options in this class at the center position, alongside Jake Slaughter. Laloulu has excellent awareness to pickup defenders who try to swing inside the middle of the offensive line to break through. He never gets caught off guard, allowing for some excellent pass rush reps. He generates excellent power off the snap and can punch defenders back on their heels. To top it all off, he has the size to be able to do all of this to NFL-sized players when he is drafted next April.

Lost in all of the fun of the offense was a defense that turned in a whale of a took the ball away in bunches, was the best in the Big 12 against the run, and it made up for problems on third downs, and a lack of a pass rush, with massive plays. ASU came up with four defensive scores as part of all of those with veterans and potential All-Big 12 stars, the Sun Devil defense will once again be terrific. X CFN, Fiu | CFN Facebook | Bluesky Fiu, CFN2025 Arizona State PreviewArizona State Offense Breakdown Season Prediction, Win Total, Keys to Season- The pass rush wasn't great, but it gets back top sacker Clayton Smith. On the other side, Prince Dorbah is back after being banged up last year following a terrific 2023. Elijah O'Neal was second on the team with four tackles are even better than the ends. CJ Fite is an all-star interior pass rusher and tough tackler against the run, Jacob Rich Kongaika was great at getting behind the line last year, and Justin Wodtly made 26 tackles in the rotation. My'Keil Gardner (Oregon) should be the biggest tackle in the mix. - The linebackers will be terrific. Keyshaun Elliott made 111 tackles and was a terror in the backfield in 2023, and stepped back a little last year, but he'll be an All-Big 12 performer again on the Crook missed time, but still came up with 57 tackles in the middle - he should hit the 100-tackle mark if he stays in one piece. Zyrus Fiaseau and Martell Hughes can step in and start at either spot, or see more time in a 4-3 alignment. - The safeties are among the best in the Big 12. Myles Roswer and Xavion Alford were 1-2 in tackles, combining for 183 stops, with Alford earning First Team All-Big 12 honors with five broken up passes and two picks to go along with all his stops. Kendrich Breedlove (Purdue) was a big positive on an awful Boilermaker team, and now he'll be a stat-sheet filler at the nickel corners Javan Robinson and Keith Abney II are back. They combined for 95 tackles with six interceptions and 13 tackles for loss. The Sun Devil offense was brutally effective and was great on third downs, blasted away with the ground game, was third in the nation in fewest turnovers, and led the Big Ten and was tenth in the nation in time of loses a superstar in running back Cam Skattebo, but offensive coordinator Marcus Arroyo is still around, and helped by the transfer portal, this year's attack might be even more talented. The Heisman finalist ran for over 1,700 yards with 21 touchdowns, and caught 45 passes for 605 yards and three Kyson Brown doesn't have the power of Skattebo, but he ran for 351 yards and two scores last season. Kanye Udoh (Army) should be the new star coming off a massive ten-touchdown season, averaging over six yards per carry. - The passing game should do even more. Sam Leavitt is a baller's baller, finishing second on the team with 443 yards and five scores, and throwing for almost 3,000 yards with 24 touchdowns and six picks. The sophomore quarterback will be the signature star, and well-traveled veteran Jeff Sims is good enough to fill in when needed. - Jordyn Tyson will once again be among the Big 12's best receivers. Dangerous in the slot, he's back and healthy after missing the Big 12 Championship and CFP battle with Texas. Before that, he caught 75 passes for 1,101 yards and ten McClain is back to push for the outside job, but Noble Johnson (Clemson) has the wheels to be in the mix. Jalen Moss caught 103 passes with ten scores over the last two years at Fresno State. Tight end Chamon Metayer was third on the team with 32 catches with five touchdowns. - The line that was so solid gets back a slew of star parts. All-Big 12 blocker Ben Coleman can play center or guard, Josh Atkins is great at left tackle, and the right side is intact with Max Iheanachor at tackle and Kyle Scott at guard. PFF names Steelers' T.J. Watt, Alex Highsmith NFL's best edge duo in 2025
Pro Football Focus has given the Steelers defense some well-deserved respect — more specifically, OLBs T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith. PFF's Zoltán Buday recently named the best duos for every position ahead of the 2025 season — with Watt and Highsmith taking the edge defenders spot: "While Highsmith was hindered by injuries last season, he was still among the most effective pass rushers in the league when on the field. His 89.3 PFF pass-rushing grade ranked seventh among 109 edge defenders. On the other hand, Watt led the position with a 90.3 PFF run-defense grade and ranked sixth in PFF pass-rushing grade (90.1), one spot ahead of Highsmith." Highsmith has been working with Nick Herbig so far this offseason — as Watt's contract holdout caused him to miss Steelers OTAs and mandatory minicamp. Watt's presence is sorely missed, and whenever (if at all) a deal gets done, he will look to pick up right where he left off opposite Highsmith.
