England U21 star Scott hails team-mate Anderson ahead of Euros semi-final
The pair have impressed as defensive midfielders in Lee Carsley's 4-2-2-2 system throughout this summer's tournament.

Anderson had a standout season for Nottingham Forest, providing eight goal contributions as the Reds secured European football for the first time since 1996.
The Bournemouth midfielder was full of praise for his midfield partner, with the duo expected to start against the Netherlands in the semi-final on Wednesday night.
'[It's been] really enjoyable,' he said. 'He's obviously had an amazing season at Forest. He's shown what he can do in the Premier League.
'Then, to come here, he's a massive player for us and he brings us so much experience, energy and his technical ability is very good as well. I've loved every minute of playing next to him in midfield.

'We have a great relationship off the pitch and that comes on the pitch as well. He's a top, top player and we get along all the time.'
Scott will be hoping to draw on experience gained from competing in the U19 European Championship back in 2022, where he scored with his first touch of the game in the semi-final against Italy.
'It's on a different scale,' he said. 'You're playing for the U21s now, and we've seen how good they were two years ago and what it took for them to win it. So I think that's almost the baseline for us.
'Like (Lee) Carsley said, we're a different group of players. We know what it takes to win, some of us, in the U19s. But we're just looking forward to it. We've been working so hard throughout the qualifying campaign, and we deserve to be here.
'Obviously, we're an England team. We go into every game with the mindset that we have the ability to win the game. So there's no reason why we're not going to do that tomorrow.'

We asked for your views on whether Nottingham Forest are ready for the new season as they prepare to kick off at home to Brentford on Sunday. Here are some of your comments: Sean: In terms of results, it's not been an ideal pre-season. However, the new faces look very promising so it's likely to just be a case of working at it and the goals will come. We looked worn out at the end of last season, so with that in mind and the prospect of a European campaign, we need to sign a few more players and have a little squad depth. Ideally, had we signed more players by now we could have used them more in pre-season but now it'll have to be a case of getting them up to speed in the Premier League. Ken: I will only start worrying if we don't score against Brentford. I will say this: am I the only one who thinks the rest of the squad are distant from Gibbs-White since he had his new deal? Murillo has been awful. David Carmo has been excellent. Awoniyi looks sharp, Hudson-Odoi looks disinterested. Nuno has remained silent. Morato surely has to go? Jesus has had so little service that he must be wondering why he came. Ndoye looked good. Kevin: Absolutely terrified for the coming season. One goal across all those games? Barely any signings. Could be a big, bumpy landing next week if not sorted pronto.

Mikey Moore: Tottenham confirm new contract for highly rated young star
Young Tottenham star Mikey Moore has signed a new long-term contract with the club. Moore, who turned 18 years old on Monday, is spending the season on loan at Scottish giants Rangers. Spurs have high hopes for Moore, became the club's youngest-ever Premier League debutant in May 2024. Five months later, the England Under-19 international became the youngest player to start a Premier League match for the club. The forward scored his first senior goal against Elfsborg in January during the club's run to Europa League glory, breaking Jimmy Greaves' record of youngest English scorer in a major European competition. Moore joined Rangers on August 1 in what is a straight loan agreement, with no option or obligation to make the move permanent, as Spurs consider Moore an important part of their future. The teenager is yet to make his debut for Rangers but the club expect him to have a big impact north of the border.

Manchester City enter race for Chelsea target Xavi Simons
According to a report from Sacha Tavolieri, Manchester City have entered the race for Chelsea FC target Xavi Simons (22). The former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder joined RB Leipzig last summer on a loan agreement before he decided to leave the eventual European champions on a permanent deal during the winter transfer window. However, Simons has since expressed his intention to leave the Bundesliga side after they failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League. This sparked the interest of Chelsea, but the Premier League side are far from alone. Manchester City are reportedly looking at bringing in Simons as a replacement ot Savinho (21), who has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur. Savinho only arrived at Manchester City last summer from ESTAC Troyes.
