The HC also granted bail to Chintan's associate Bhakti Binod Behera, from whose vehicle the CBI sleuths had recovered the bribe money.
Justice Gourishankar Satapathy allowed their separate bail pleas through a common order, imposing stringent conditions.
Raghuvanshi and Behera were arrested from two locations in Bhubaneswar after the CBI caught them red-handed while accepting bribe from a city-based mining businessman.
According to the agency, Raghuvanshi had placed a bribe demand of Rs 5 crore, which was reduced to Rs 2 crore and Rs 20 lakh was received as an installment.
Raghuvanshi had reportedly demanded the amount from the businessman with a promise not to arrest him or attach his property in the 12 cases of financial irregularities pending against him with the ED.
Earlier this month, Raghuvanshi was granted an interim bail for 10 days by the HC to visit his ailing wife and their newborn. He returned to jail as soon as his interim protection was over.
'The IRS officer was released from the jail on Friday evening after relevant documents from the HC and lower court were produced to the jail authorities", his lawyer Lalitendu Mishra said.
Besides Mishra, senior advocates Ashok Kumar Parija and Soura Chandra Mohapatra also represented Raghuvanshi.
Observing that the investigation has made significant progress and that the trial is unlikely to commence soon, the HC stated that bail is the rule and jail is the exception.
'The bail applications of Raghuvanshi and Behera are allowed and both are allowed on furnishing bail bonds of Rs 1 lakh with two solvent sureties for the like amount to the satisfaction of the trial court," the HC said.
The other conditions include that the petitioners shall not commit any offence while out on bail, shall remain present in the trial court during hearings, and shall not leave the country without prior permission of the trial court. They are also required to provide the address of their place of stay and surrender their passports before the court. PTI COR AAM AAM MNB

Assam youth strangled to death, set ablaze by friends in Gujarat in bid to erase his identity
AHMEDABAD: It's a murder straight out of a crime thriller, only bloodier. Five months after a charred, mutilated corpse was fished out of a drain in Changodar, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, police have unmasked the killers, not strangers, but two friends driven by greed. The victim, Mohibul, 24, a native of Assam and a worker at a printing firm in Ahmedabad's Changodar area, loved to talk big. He told friends he had land back home and lakhs in the bank. Those boasts caught the attention of Santalal Gautam from Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh, and Rohit Singh Gaud from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, who began plotting his death and a Rs 2 lakh loot. The Kill: On March 6, they lured him to the railway tracks on the outskirts of Tajpur village. First, they tried strangling him with a rope, but it snapped. Then, in a grim twist, they used his shoelace, pulling until he went limp. The Cover-up: They stripped him naked, shoved a T-shirt over his face, and set him on fire to wipe out his identity. Their first plan — placing the body under a speeding train — failed. Plan B, dumping the burnt remains in a roadside drain, worked, at least for a while.

This year, we want to add another 25 lakh. Our target is to make one crore lakhpati didis in Maharashtra. The Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana is part of this push. Some people tried to create confusion by claiming the scheme will be stopped. We won't shut it. Instead, we will increase aid at the right time," the CM Ladki Bahin Yojana is the state government's flagship scheme under which women beneficiaries get Rs 1500 as monthly aid provided they fulfil some conditions like limits to annual household income etc."Some people have misused the scheme. For example, men uploaded photos of motorbikes on the portal to claim benefits. We are removing such names from the beneficiaries' list," Fadnavi has the highest number of SHGs in the country, and malls will be set up in 10 districts where products made by them will be sold, the CM informed."We have increased funding and revolving funds. Police 'assault' RG Kar victim's mother, lathicharge protesters in Bengal
The mother of a trainee doctor, who was raped and murdered at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital a year ago, on Saturday accused the Bengal police of assaulting her while she was on her way to join a protest marking one year of the crime. Police also carried out a lathicharge on demonstrators, leaving over 100 people injured, according to the report by news agency PTI. Her bangle was broken and she also sustained a head injury during the scuffle. The victim's father said that despite permission from the court for a peaceful rally, Kolkata police tried to prevent the family from reaching Dorina Crossing to join the march. According to the report, Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari, BJP leader Agnimitra Paul, and several BJP MLAs staged a sit-in at the Park Street, alleging that over 100 protesters, including senior party leaders, were injured in the police action. Rally demanded Mamata's resignation The Mamata Banerjee administration is fearing this massive crowd which has gathered in protest, said Adhikari. She will pay dearly for this as the protest is only going to get bigger from here, he warned. Several agitators were seen holding the Tricolour, posters, and banners demanding justice for the victim and resignation of the CM. Scuffle between police and protesters PTI reported that large crowds gathered at both assembly points in Howrah and Kolkata, but state police blocked them from getting anywhere near the West Bengal Secretariat. Officers repeatedly issued loudspeaker warnings, urging demonstrators to follow the Calcutta High Court order and maintain law and order. Some protesters attempted to scale the 10-foot barricades, while others used blunt tools to break through the iron barriers and create openings. Security was tightened along the route, with scuffles breaking out between protesters and police in Howrah district. The state deployed large contingents of police, Rapid Action Force personnel, and water cannons at key points to stop the march.
