Tobey Maguire ‘Emo' Peter Parker Figure From ‘Spider-Man 3' On The Way

The announcement of the title of Tom Holland's new Spider-Man movie isn't the only breaking Spidey news. Tobey Maguire's 'emo' Peter Parker/Spider-Man is getting a new action figure.
Holland appeared in a video clip at CinemaCon Monday night in Las Vegas to announce the title of his fourth film as the legendary Marvel webslinger will be Spider-Man: Brand New Day, per The Hollywood Reporter.
THR noted that director Destin Daniel Cretton — who previously directed the 2021 Marvel Cinematic Universe hit Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings — was on hand for the announcement at the annual convention of theater owners. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is slated for a July 31, 2026, release.
Meanwhile, Hasbro had some Spider-Man news to break, too, on Tuesday with a Marvel Legends livestream touting the company's upcoming releases in its 6-inch comic book and live-action movie figure line.
Among the movie figures Hasbro revealed Tuesday were four characters from the upcoming MCU movie Thunderbolts* — Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova, David Harbour's Red Guardian, Wyatt Russell's John Walker and Lewis Pullman's Bob Reynolds, aka The Sentry — as well as 2007 movie character that's making its debut as a Marvel Legends figure.
During Hasbro's livestream presentation, members of the toy company's marketing and design team unveiled the black suit version of Peter Parker/Spidey from Spider-Man 3 with a head sculpt featuring Maguire's likeness.
The figure is of Peter's 'emo' look from the film, where the dark side of the character emerges after his contact with the symbiote Venom. As such, Spidey's suit turns black and he becomes more aggressive.
The accessories for the new black suit 'emo' Spider-Man figure from Hasbro include an alternate masked Spidey head sculpt and two extra sets of hands. The Hasbro marketing team also showed off a Venom 'splat' piece that fits around Peter's neck to give the illusion that the symbiote is trying to take him over.
The 'emo' Peter Parker action figure from Spider-Man 3 is expected to retail for $24.99 and will go up for pre-order on online retail outlets on Thursday.

While Tobey Maguire appeared alongside Andrew Garfield's iteration of Spidey in the 2021 MCU Multiverse adventure Spider-Man: No Way Home, his big screen version of the character was introduced to audiences in 2002 with director Sam Raimi's smash hit Spider-Man.
Maguire, of course, reprised the role in Spider-Man 2 in 2004 and Spider-Man 3 in 2007, which also starred Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane Watson and James Franco as Harry Osborn.
At least to Rotten Tomatoes critics and audience members voting on the film, Spider-Man 3 is the least-liked of three films in Maguire and Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy.
The original Spider-Man received a 90% 'fresh' rating from RT critics and a 67% 'fresh' Popcornmeter score, while Spider-Man 2 earned a 93% rating from critics and 82% from fans.
Meanwhile, Spider-Man 3 earned a 'fresh' rating of 63% from RT critics and a 'rotten' score of 51% on the site's Popcornmeter from the site's users.
While the third film is the least favorite of Maguire and Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy, Spider-Man 3 had the biggest box office gross of the three. Spider-Man's worldwide take was $822.6 million in 2002, while Spider-Man 2 grossed $795.8 million globally in 2004. Spider-Man 3's worldwide tally in 2007 was $895.9 million.

Bill Gates' 22-Year-Old Daughter Says It's 'Terrifying' For The Boys She Brings Home to Meet Her 'Socially Awkward' Dad in His $63 Million Mansion
Most 22-year-olds don't have to worry about their dad being Bill Gates when they bring someone home—but Phoebe Gates does. And according to her, it's a little bit hilarious... unless you're the guy. In an appearance on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast last month, Phoebe sat down with host Alex Cooper—alongside climate activist and business partner Sophia Kianni—to talk about launching their own podcast, "The Burnouts." But the internet had other priorities: her stories about introducing dates to her famously introverted dad at his $63 million lakefront high-tech mansion in Medina, Washington. "Terrifying, for the guy. For me? Hilarious." Don't Miss: Hasbro, MGM, and Skechers trust this AI marketing firm — Here's what Americans think you need to be considered wealthy. That's how Phoebe summed it up. "My dad's, like, pretty socially awkward—he's said he has Asperger's," she explained on the podcast. "To me, it's so funny, but for guys, I think they get, like, really wigged out." Phoebe didn't just tell—it was full storytime. One of the standout memories? A high school dance. "My mom had signed my dad up to drive me and the boy to the dance together," she said. "First off, my dad insisted on us listening to NPR the entire 30-minute drive. He stopped for fast food, then he calls the guy—he's like, 'Be responsible tonight, Max Demonhower.' His name was Maxwell Danenhower. Literally wanted to die." For Phoebe, these awkward encounters have turned into a kind of test. "Depending on how he reacts, that's how you know if he's gonna be a good guy or not," she told Cooper. If someone can survive a socially anxious Bill Gates mispronouncing their name inside a high-security estate—maybe they're worth keeping around. Trending: Phoebe also joked that she's the life of the party in a family of self-proclaimed nerds. "It used to be a joke our family would be so boring if I wasn't born," she said. "At the dad-daughter dances my mom would have us go to, I would force my dad to go talk to all the other dads and daughters there. I was like, 'No. If we're here, we're going to socialize. We've got to work this room, Bill.'" And don't even try to challenge them to a game night. "You do not want to play a board game with the two of us," she warned. "That's actually worse than introducing a guy to my dad." Bringing home a date is nerve-wracking enough. Bringing them into a tech billionaire's $63 million mansion where they'll be grilled by a man who co-founded Microsoft and prefers NPR over small talk? Brutal. But Phoebe's take? If they can't handle that, they probably weren't "the guy" anyway. Read Next: Invest where it hurts — and help millions heal:. Can you guess how many retire with a $5,000,000 nest egg? . ANDOR Creator Tony Gilroy Had to Fight Disney For Season 2 Budget After Being Told "Streaming is Dead" — GeekTyrant
Andor is one of this shows that raised the bar for the Star Wars franchise. But, getting to that second season? That didn't come easy. Tony Gilroy, the creator of Andor and the mind behind Rogue One , opened up at the ATX Television Festival about the uphill battle he faced securing proper funding for Season 2 of the critically acclaimed series. While you'd think Disney would be all-in after Season 1's success, Gilroy revealed a much grimmer outlook from the studio: "I mean, [for] Disney this is $650 million. For 24 episodes, I never took a note. We said 'F*ck the Empire' in the first season, and they said, 'Can you please not do that?' … In season 2, they said, 'Streaming is dead, we don't have the money we had before,' so we fought hard about money, but they never cleaned anything up. That [freedom] comes with responsibilities." 'Streaming is dead,' according to what Gilroy was told during Season 2's production. Kind of a surprise, considering this is Disney we're talking about, owners of Disney+, the home of Andor, The Mandalorian , and every Marvel show. But, this internal sentiment makes a bit more sense when you look at the recent slowdown in Disney's streaming content pipeline. Marvel shows have slowed down. Star Wars shows are fewer and farther between. The emphasis, for now, seems to be shifting, toward theatrical releases. I'm glad to hear that Gilroy 'fought hard' for the budget and to preserve the scope and freedom of the show. It was a massive creative swing that kept its integrity intact despite the studio's shifting priorities. Even with all the struggles behind the scenes, Andor remains the most critically lauded live-action Star Wars project to date. It was an impressive show that hit a nerve with fans, elevating the franchise in a way no other Star Wars project has. As for what's next : The Mandalorian & Grogu is headed to the big screen with Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver. Shawn Levy and Ryan Gosling are confirmed to be teaming on the Starfighter movie. Ahsoka 's second season is underway for a 2026 release, and a Darth Maul series is also coming.
