Lisa Riley had the ‘most wonderful' time recording new show away from Emmerdale
The star has played the role of Mandy Dingle in the ITV soap on and off since 1995.
The character is the wife of Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) and mum to Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson). Mandy works at the local salon, and is often seen in the middle of typical Dingle family drama.
Just like her soap alter-ego, Lisa lives a very busy life. Recently, she took to Instagram to confirm that she's been quite busy with a project away from the soap. https://www.instagram.com/p/DNOOZUTIKkF/
The picture Lisa shared on her feed sees her wearing headphones and smiling into the camera next to a microphone. She confirmed in the caption that she's been recording the voice over for a Channel 5 show.
Lisa wrote: 'After a busy morning @emmerdale I have had the most wonderful afternoon in the recording booth @theotherplanetmedia with the lovely @maddiknibbs voicing the upcoming new series @boomcymru 'SKIN A&E' look out for when it's coming to @channel5_tv.'
The star has narrated the series for quite a while now. Channel 5 has so far aired six seasons of Skin A&E, which follows a group of dermatologists who work hard on saving our skin through life-changing operations and treatments.
Over in Emmerdale, Mandy and Paddy are currently getting to know young Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle).
The teenager, who is friends with April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) returned to the village a few days ago, and was allowed to stay the night at Tenants once Paddy realised he was sleeping rough.
While Mandy and Paddy make an effort to look after Dylan, they remain unaware that he is working for a drug dealer called Ray Walters (Joe Absolom).
Mandy also doesn't know at the moment that her son Vinny is going through a confusing time, as he tries to address his sexuality and work out who he really is.
Vinny has been left overwhelmed after almost kissing his friend Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah). He has tried to pretend there wasn't something to address, but Vinny's feelings towards his pal have been too difficult to ignore.
The rest of this article contains spoilers from tonight's episode of Emmerdale.
In the instalment of the ITV soap that airs this evening, but is now available on ITVX, Vinny invites Mike over, who he met on an LGBTQI+ forum.
Vinny was comfortable around Mike, because he was led to believe they were both in similar boats. Sadly though, Mike's true side was revealed – and his aim was not to help Vinny come to terms with his sexuality.
At Vinny's house, Mike started to suggest that Vinny fancies him. He denied this and was confused, but Mike reckoned that Vinny had invited him over because he wanted them to sleep together.
It was at this point Vinny started to realise that the man he had told some very private thoughts to was a completely different person in reality. He tried to run out of the house in fear, but Mike stopped him from leaving.
The next time we saw Vinny he was getting brutally attacked by Mike. He was laying on the floor in tears, curled up and shaking, a shell of the man we've grown to love.
Mike wanted money from Vinny, but he also spied the wedding rings on the side and was very interested in them.
As the episode drew to a close, Vinny looked at himself in the mirror as he tried to come to terms with what had just happened. We then flashbacked to a few years ago, when Vinny's biological father Paul (Reece Dinsdale) would physically abuse him if he tried to stand up to his dad.
Vinny stood in the house all alone in tears.

Given the state of the house, Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) will more than likely discover what happened to some extent, but whether Vinny says what really happened remains to be seen. More Trending
'I think he's just a confused, a confused man at the minute', star Bradley Johnson said.
'I think the connection with Kammy is definitely real, it might be pansexuality, where you fancy the personality rather than the person.

Sheridan Smith in floods of tears while filming new ITV drama after painful family death
Sheridan Smith has been left with raw emotions after filming her new ITV drama I Fought The Law following the death of her brother Sheridan Smith was left emotionally shattered whilst filming her latest drama I Fought The Law. The BAFTA-winning star portrays campaigner Ann Ming, whose daughter Julie was brutally killed in 1989. The role brought back painful memories of her brother's heartbreaking death from cancer when she was merely eight years old. She revealed: "This is the first real life story I've taken on since becoming a mum and there are different things I tap into now being a mother myself, especially with what Ann went through." It comes after a Midsomer Murders star was revealed as Sheridan's replacement in a 'gripping' thriller. "I've played parents that lose their kids before, and having lost my older brother, I would always think about what my mum must have gone through. While playing Ann, those feelings were much more raw to tap into." The programme follows Ann's battle to overturn an 800 year old double jeopardy law in her quest for justice for her daughter. Taking on such a weighty subject matter took a devastating toll on Sheridan, reports the Daily Star. She continued: "Whenever I play a real person, I really want to feel how they felt. I didn't go to drama school and I haven't been trained as an actor, so I don't really know how to turn those feelings on and off. "I just really try to go there emotionally. Ann was obviously in a state of angst from the minute Julie went missing, because she had that mother's instinct, she just knew. "And she fought and fought for justice. So she was in a state of anxiety for years, and I really tried to go there." Shooting I Fought The Law has proved the most challenging role Sheridan has ever undertaken. Yet she's not grumbling because her struggles pale in comparison to what Ann experienced. She explained: "I love playing real people because this job is all about people's hearts and getting their stories out there, so if it causes me a few months of distress, that's nothing. "It's just important for me to do Ann justice. Playing her has hit me more than any other role. "There were some really intense days on this job, but the emotion was a fraction of what it must have felt like for Ann, so you just get on with it." The programme will broadcast this autumn on ITV1.

Model ditches her life for the African desert after being robbed at gunpoint
When young model Aleks was mugged by thugs and held up at gunpoint, she made a massive life change that very same night. She would spin the globe and move to wherever it landed... It was a moment that Aleks will never forget - and one that changed the course of her entire life. As a actor and model living in New York, she was walking home late at night from a film set, when she was suddenly attacked. A man pushed a gun up against her forehead. Fortunately, when they realised she didn't have anything valuable, they shouted 'Move!' and ran off. Aleks took this harrowing ordeal as a literal instruction. She would move. Two weeks later she was on a plane to Namibia - she was only actually planning to stay for a couple of weeks, but was offered a job and stayed for 13 years. Now she is living as a conservationist in the harsh environment of the Kalahari Desert in Botswana, where her nearest neighbours are lions, leopards and cheetah. Aleks Orbeck Nilssen, now 34, tells her incredible story to adventurer Ben Fogle, in a brand new series of New Lives In The Wild, which starts tonight (Aug 14) on Channel 5 at 9pm. The people Ben Fogle meets in the series have moved to some of the most remote locations on Earth. Are they daring or just downright crazy? It's a question Ben has asked himself many times, but he's always happy to make the epic journey to check it out. In the episode, he travels over 8,250km to Maun in Botswana, before driving east for a further five hours to meet Norwegian conservationist, model and bush guide Aleks. She has moved to the Kalahari Desert and set up a 'Wisdom Academy' for indigenous people, but life is tough. 'The Kalahari kind of hates you,' she laughs. Ben is overwhelmed to be greeted by an entire community of local bush people, then further surprised to see a luxurious tourist camp nearby, run by Aleks's husband Ralph. It's a tale of two worlds. Ben finds out how Aleks was a model in her teens, having been scouted at the age of 13, then when she was 18 volunteered at an animal sanctuary in Namibia. She is now in Botswana because she got married. But she insists: 'I've got a job to do on this planet and I'm on a mission and that doesn't stop just because I fall in love.' Aleks recalls: 'As a young model I travelled the world in a very short time. I didn't realise it would be so lonely, I was extremely unhappy.' So she moved to New York. Aleks says: 'I was walking home from a film set late at night. I heard these catcalls, which is quite common in New york so I just carried on walking. "Then they grabbed me and wanted to get money from me. While I am digging through my bag looking for something I suddenly feel something kiss my forehead." She continues: "That was a gun and so I was held at gunpoint. I went from having so much control, then this moment someone takes away all these control. When they realised I didn't have anything, they just said 'Move' and left. I went back to my flat and didn't really know what to do. I felt like it was a universal bitch slap. And the fact that he said move, it felt like an instruction." She adds: 'I said to myself I'm going to spin the globe and if my finger lands in the ocean I'll go on a gap year. And if it lands on Norway I can spin again. And if it lands on a country I'll go there, unless there's a civil war. And it was Namibia. "Two weeks later I was on the plane. I had a weird feeling like roots were growing out of my feet. When I arrived it was like 'I'm home, but I don't know why'. I was offered a job so I took a bold leap and went all in. "I met the tribe that I have now been working with for 14 years and realised I had to work with them. They've completely saved me, transformed me. They've brought nature to life around me. Could you get a better gift than that?' Ben says: 'I've always loved this idea that some of us weren't necessarily born where we feel we belong. That's what people spend their life searching for and if you're one of the lucky ones, like Aleks, you find it. She's had beauty, money, travel, glitz and glamour, but none of them brought her the happiness that she has finally found here in the desert.' *Ben Fogle: New Lives In The Wild starts tonight (Aug 14) on Channel 5 at 9pm
