What channel is UNC-Arizona on? Time, TV schedule for Chapel Hill Super Regional Game 2

What channel is UNC-Arizona on? Time, TV schedule for Chapel Hill Super Regional Game 2 Here's all the broadcasting information you need to know for Game 2 of the Chapel Hill Super Regional between UNC and Arizona. The North Carolina Tar Heels and Arizona Wildcats faced off Friday afternoon in the Chapel Hill Super Regional from Boshamer Stadium, with each baseball program looking to inch one step closer to the College World Series. UNC entered Game 1 off a dominant, 14-4 victory over Oklahoma in Monday's winner-take all game of the Chapel Hill Regional. Arizona entered Game 1 red-hot, having previously won its last eight contests. Something had to give – and one team left fighting for its life. Thanks to scoring eight runs in the first two innings against Wildcats starter Owen Kramkowski, North Carolina left their home field ecstatic with an obliterating, 18-2 victory. Arizona (42-19) actually started the scoring part in its half of the first inning, thanks to an Adonis Guzman single. Guzman was a lone bright spot for the Wildcats on Friday, hitting a perfect 4-for-4. The Diamond Heels quick punched back in their half of the first inning, tying the score on a Luke Stevenson single. Gavin Gallaher continued his tear with an ensuing single, giving UNC a 2-1 lead it never relinquished, while Hunter Stokely delivered a 3-run home run for the eventual, game-winning runs. Though offense was the name of North Carolina's game, we need to give Jake Knapp his flowers. The Diamond Heels' ace escaped some early trouble, allowing just two runs through seven innings. If UNC can replicate some of Friday's success during Game 2 Saturday, it'll be heading to Omaha for the second-consecutive season. If the Wildcats win, there will be a winner-take all Game 3 on Sunday. Are you lucky enough to watch Game 2 in person? Have a blast and continue filling the stands with Carolina Blue. If you're watching on TV, your favorite streaming device, listening on the radio or placing bets like most fans, keep reading below for more broadcast information. The fact North Carolina embarrassed Arizona, which entered as arguably the hottest team in college baseball, means the Chapel Hill Super Regional could be over fairly quickly. I think the Wildcats respond with a valiant effort on Saturday, making it more of a game. The Diamond Heels, buzzing with excitement and determined to get back to Omaha, win again and send The Bosh into a cheering frenzy. Stokely, Stevenson combine for 9 RBIs and North Carolina routs Arizona 18-2 to open Super Regional

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- Hunter Stokely drove in five runs, Luke Stevenson drove in four and North Carolina rolled to an 18-2 victory over Arizona on Friday to open the Chapel Hill Super Regional. Jake Knapp allowed two runs on nine hits in seven innings. He improved to 14-0 with a 2.02 ERA. Tom Chmielewski finished with two scoreless innings. The top-ranked and No. 5 national seed Tar Heels scored eight runs in the first two innings, three on Stokely's home run that made it a 5-1 game in the first inning. Stevenson's three-run home run in the second made it 8-1. Stokely added an RBI-single in the fourth and another in the eighth inning. Stevenson drove in North Carolina's first run back in the first inning. Sam Angelo hit a three-run home run in the eighth and Kane Kepley's solo home run later in the inning made it 18-2. Gavin Gallaher had four hits and scored three runs. Kepley and Jackson Van De Brake each scored four times for the Tar Heels. The first five batters in the order had 13 hits and drove in 12 runs. They scored 15 runs. Adonys Guzman drove in a run with a single in the first inning and Easton Breyfogle added a sacrifice fly in the fourth for Arizona's two runs. Owen Kramkowski (9-6) allowed eight runs in an inning and a third. North Carolina (46-13) is playing in a Super Regional for the 12th time, having advanced eight times previously.

UNC baseball hammers Arizona in the first game of the super regional series

UNC baseball hammers Arizona in the first game of the super regional series After a dominant Chapel Hill Regional, UNC baseball met up with Arizona on Friday in the first game of a best-of-three series in the Chapel Hill Super Regional at Boshamer Stadium. The Diamond Heels ran away with this one early and easily, winning 18-2, despite Jake Knapp struggling on the mound through the first few innings. After going down 1-0 in the top of the first inning, the Tar Heels came back scorching hot at the plate, scoring five runs to boost the lead for Knapp on the mound. Luke Stevenson got back to his usual self after just one single in the entire Chapel Hill Regional. Stevenson had an RBI single and a three-run home run in the first two innings. Gavin Gallaher, the Chapel Hill Regional MOP, went 13-for-18 with three home runs and 10 RBIs in that four-game stretch. He continued his streak with an RBI single in the first inning for his 66th RBI on the season to lead the team. The other player that got involved early was first baseman Hunter Stokely. Stokely hit a three-run homer in the first inning, scoring Gallaher and Stevenson. By the end of the second inning, North Carolina had stretched out an 8-1 lead. Knapp was still struggling on the mound, loading the bases multiple times in back-to-back innings, allowing just one run in both of those scenarios. He ended his day allowing nine hits with two earned runs and three strikeouts over 7.0 innings. The two runs for Arizona didn't matter much as North Carolina just kept piling on the runs in the ensuing innings. Gallaher tacked on another RBI, as did Stokely. Alex Madera got on the board with a two-RBI single in the sixth inning. Carter French scored on a throwing error by Arizona before Stokey hit his fifth RBI of the contest in the eighth inning. You would think that the runs would stop there, but they didn't. Sam Angelo hit a two-run homer in the eighth inning as well, scoring Stokley and Tyson Bass. Kane Kepley had the final run of the game with a solo home run, just two at-bats after Angelo. North Carolina will match up with Arizona for Game 2 of the best-of-three series in the Chapel Hill Super Regional on Saturday at noon. If the Tar Heels win, their ticket to Omaha will be punched. If they lose, they will play a win-or-go-home Game 3 on Monday.
