Michigan State football landed the commitment from Texas Tech defensive back Devynn Cromwell on Tuesday afternoon, thus most likely marking the end of the Spartans roster additions via the spring transfer portal.
With the Spartans concluding their moves from the spring portal, MSU added seven new scholarship bodies to the mix, bolstering the depth at several different positions on the roster. It is also worth noting that the Spartans landed these seven prospects in a very impressive manner.
Michigan State only hosted eight transfer prospects all spring long, meaning they closed out and got commitments from seven of those eight prospects, hitting at a 87.5% rate. The lone prospect to not commit to Michigan State was Austin Peay defensive back transfer Gavin Edwards, who chose to go to Maryland.
It was an impressive display from the Spartans coaching staff, who identified positional needs, and landed the prospects that they sought out early in the process.
With a big month of visits upcoming in June, with the Spartans looking to lock down their 2026 recruiting class, this is a great trend for the Spartans coaching staff to be starting.

In McShay's Way-Too-Early 2026 NFL Mock Draft, he projected Klubnik to the Cleveland Browns at No. 5 overall, calling Clemson's roster 'possibly the most talented Dabo Swinney has had in a decade.' Stephen Muench, McShay's co-host, offered a different comp: veteran NFL quarterback Matthew Stafford. 'I think both Stafford and Klubnik are very tough, very smart,' Muench said. 'He makes confident throws, gets to his third read. That's what you want to see in a next-level guy.' Koloi Keli of Honolulu, Hawaii announced his commitment to the Cal Golden Bears on Sunday afternoon. The commitment came after Keli took official visits to both Michigan State and Cal, with the Golden Bears ultimately edging out the Spartans for the recruiting battle victory. Keli is a three-star interior offensive lineman in the 2026 class. He holds a recruiting rating of 86 on 247Sports. Keli ranks as the No. 85 interior offensive lineman in the class, according to 247Sports. He is also ranked as the No. 9 player from Hawaii in the class. Michigan State was one of more than 10 schools that offered Keli, according to 247Sports. Texas lands commitment from four-star Waxahachie WR Kohen Brown Texas is having quite the weekend on the recruiting trial. They landed four-star defensive lineman Dylan Berymon late Saturday night. On Sunday, they landed another four-star prospect on wide receiver Kohen Brown out of Waxahachie, Texas. Brown is the 11th commitment for the Longhorns for their 2026 class. After having the top-ranked in , Texas has some work to do to hit that level in 2026. That class is currently ranked 20th overall. The 6-foot, 190-pounder is the No. 244 recruit nationally and the No. 32 wide receiver according to Rivals. They also have deemed him the No. E4 prospect in the state of Texas. Brown had a breakout campaign in 2024. He registered 1,084 yards on 54 receptions and scored 11 touchdowns. Brown gained 138 yards rushing as well and put up two more scores. The Longhorns are adding speed at the receiver position with tbe addition of Brown. We're not talking regular speed either, but track speed. He ran a 10.69 in the 100-meter dash as a junior per MileSplit.
