Jr NTR Waves At Paparazzi As He Reaches Mumbai Ahead Of War 2 Release

News182 days ago
Jr NTR was spotted in Mumbai ahead of War 2's release. Dressed in black, he waved at paparazzi, but reports say his visit isn't linked to the film's promotions.
The biggest clash of this year is all set to hit our big screens on 14 August, and just ahead of War 2's grand release this August, Jr NTR has landed in Mumbai. But does his visit to the city involve the promotion of the action thriller co-starring Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani? Well, we aren't sure about that.
A video of Jr NTR arriving in the city and coming out of the airport has been posted by several paparazzi pages. In the clip, the actor can be seen stepping out of the airport in a loose black T-shirt paired with matching track pants. He flaunted his lean look as he greeted the paparazzi with a 'hi" and posed for them before heading to his car.
As per a report in News24, NTR's visit to Mumbai is not related to War 2 promotions. A source close to the development told the portal, 'Saiyaara proves there is no need for widespread promotion for a film to do well. Hence, for their next release, War 2, the two principal stars won't promote the film outside their home territory: NTR in Hyderabad and Hrithik in Mumbai. The product will do most of the talking when released on 14 August."
Here's Everything About War 2
War 2 marks Ayan Mukerji's fourth directorial venture after Wake Up Sid, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, and Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva. Despite having a relatively short filmography, Ayan has emerged as one of the most talked-about directors in the industry, known for his visionary storytelling and distinctive style. His creative reputation has earned him a substantial paycheck of ₹32 crore for helming this YRF project.
Slated for release on August 14, War 2 is being made on a massive budget of approximately ₹200 crore. With this high-octane thriller, Yash Raj Films aims to enter the coveted ₹1,000 crore club. The film is part of YRF's growing spy universe, which already boasts blockbuster hits like the Tiger franchise starring Salman Khan and Pathaan with Shah Rukh Khan. The universe is set to expand further with Alpha, the first female-led spy film in the series, featuring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh.

Saiyaara box office collection day 12: Ahaan Panday, Aneet Padda's blockbuster passes Rs 400 cr worldwide; beats Simmba, Happy New Year

Mohit Suri's romantic film Saiyaara is going from strength to strength, not only at the domestic box office, but also worldwide. After registering its steepest decline in daily figures on Monday (day 11), the film showed a slight improvement on Tuesday (day 12), which suggests that it's in no mood to slow down anytime soon. On Tuesday, Saiyaara earned Rs 9.5 crore, a slight improvement on its Monday collection of Rs 9.25 crore. Prior to that, Saiyaara had been earning in double digits every day since its release, ranging from Rs 18 crore to Rs 35.75 crore. As per industry tracker Sacnilk, the current box office collection of Saiyaara in India stands at Rs 266 crore. It's still the second-highest grossing Hindi film of 2025, tailing Vicky Kaushal-starrer historical drama Chhaava (Rs 600 crore+) by a huge margin. However, it has already surpassed the lifetime domestic box office collections of hits like Vivek Agnihotri's The Kashmir Files (Rs 252.90 crore) and Ayan Mukerji's action fantasy Brahmastra – Part One: Shiva (Rs 257.44 crore). Given its current trajectory, Saiyaara may soon edge past its next targets — Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn's 2024 cop drama Singham Again (Rs 268.35 crore), the Hindi version of SS Rajamouli, Ram Charan, and Jr NTR's period action drama RRR (Rs 274.31 crore), and Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Shahid Kapoor's romantic film Kabir Singh (Rs 278.24 crore). At the worldwide box office, Saiyaara has passed the Rs 400 crore mark. Thus, it's already surpassed Kabir Singh's global box office collection of Rs 368.32 crore, as well as that of Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik Roshan's 2013 superhero film Krrish 3 (Rs 374 crore), Sajid Nadiadwala and Salman Khan's 2014 action film Kick (Rs 377 crore), Farah Khan and Shah Rukh Khan's 2014 heist comedy Happy New Year (Rs 385 crore), and Rohit Shetty and Ranveer Singh's 2018 cop drama Simmba (Rs 393.01 crore). Saiyaara has also overtaken Rohit Shetty and Shah Rukh Khan's 2015 action comedy Dilwale (Rs 394 crore), Rajkumar Hirani and Aamir Khan's 2009 comedy 3 Idiots (Rs 395 crore), and Sooraj Barjatya and Salman Khan's 2015 action romance Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (Rs 399 crore). Saiyaara has now joined YRF's list of top 10 global grossers, which includes Siddharth Anand and Shah Rukh Khan's 2023 spy thriller Pathaan, Vijay Krishna Acharya and Aamir Khan's 2013 heist film Dhoom 3, Ali Abbas Zafar and Salman Khan's 2016 sports drama Sultan, their 2017 spy thriller Tiger Zinda Hai, Maneesh Sharma and Salman's 2023 spy thriller Tiger 3, and Siddharth Anand and Hrithik Roshan's 2019 spy thriller War. YRF may soon add another one to the list, with the release of Ayan Mukerji and Hrithik's War 2 on August 14.

Saiyaara box office: Ahaan Panday-Aneet Padda starrer crushes Vicky Kaushal-Rashmika Mandanna's Chhaava - here's how

Saiyaara is still going super strong in Nepal and is expected to rake in more moolah in the coming days read more Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda starrer Saiyaara, which has turned out to be a phenomenon at the Indian box office, has even surprised fans and experts with its blockbuster response in the international circuits. It has turned out to be the highest grosser of 2025 for Bollywood in Nepal with 6.62 Crore NPR gross (4.14 CR INR), beating Housefull 5 — 4.92 crore (3.1 cr INR), Sitare Zameen Par — 3.22 crore (2 cr INR) and even Chhaava — 2.20 crore (1.4 cr INR). STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD It is quite heartening to see a film featuring faces surpassing the business of franchise and big stars in a country due to its emotional storyline and music, which has struck a chord with the audience. _Saiyaara_ is still going super strong in Nepal and is expected to rake in more moolah in the coming days. Despite not going all out with the promotions, Saiyaara garnered unprecedented excitement among the cinegoers. Before the release of the movie, director Mohit Suri spoke about it and told Firstpost, 'I've been inside the studio for the last one month. I have no idea. And unlike the past when people travel from one studio to another, this is everything inhouse at YRF. So I haven't really gone out and met the world outside. Normally, when you are working on other films, you go out for the day; for sound, edit, and VFX. It was different different places. And just hearing it now, it does feel it does feel very redeeming and validating because when I started off this film, I was quite discouraged by a lot of senior people saying that nobody would be interested in a young love story. Because at that time, larger-than-life films were being made and I just thought that my voice would be lost there when everyone was shouting. So I just went and tried to make a film which is very different from what others were doing. And to me, the fact that people are appreciating that the difference that it's standing out means a lot.'
