Kiwi cricketers involved in Indian Premier League returning home to New Zealand, Pakistan-based group head to Dubai
Ex-Black Caps fast bowlers Shane Bond (Rajasthan Royals) and James Franklin (Hyderabad) also hold Indian-based roles.
As commentators, former Black Cap Danny Morrison and former White Ferns wicketkeeper Katey Martin have also been in India during this year's tournament.
Meanwhile, the New Zealand contingent in Pakistan have already left the country for Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
While on Friday it was announced that the Pakistan Super League (PSL) would relocate to the UAE to complete its 2025 season, it has since been confirmed that the league is suspended indefinitely.
As players, Colin Munro, Tim Seifert, Adam Milne, Daryl Mitchell, Michael Bracewell, Finn Allen, Mark Chapman and Kyle Jamieson are the New Zealanders involved. Kane Williamson is also there, in a non-playing role.
Former Black Caps coach Mike Hesson is currently in Pakistan with Islamabad United, with fellow New Zealander Ian Butler also with the team as bowling coach.
Should the IPL fail to resume within the coming weeks, the Herald understands the league will be moved to a date later in 2025, given India's upcoming tour of England in June.
At present, there are 12 regular season games left in the IPL, before the playoffs.
There has been no indication of when the PSL will resume, given no dates were specified when the tournament initially announced it would relocate to the UAE.

All Whites shock Ivory Coast
The All Whites have clung on to shock African champions Ivory Coast 1-0 in Canda - in a result that could be regarded as one of their best in the last 15 years. Winger Eli Just scored the winning goal just before halftime before New Zealand dug in to win a contest in Toronto on Sunday in which they were largely outplayed but scrapped effectively to preserve a clean sheet. They did it with regular captain Chris Wood playing as a substitute, coming off the bench in the 82nd minute to replace striker Kosta Barbarouses as All Whites management seek to control the 33-year-old's workload following a huge season of goal-scoring at Nottingham Forest. Defender Libby Cacace was captain in his place. It was New Zealand's first match since March, when they beat New Caledonia in Auckland to book their place at next year's FIFA World Cup. Playing their first ever men's senior match against world No 41 Ivory Coast, the 86th-ranked All Whites notched their first win over a team ranked that high since 2010. Victory was based on some inspired defending, led by Finn Surman, while fellow-centre back Tyler Bindon also impressed with his grittiness and goalkeeper Max Crocombe came up with a number of crucial stops. After seeing off a host of Ivory Coast attacks, the New Zealanders scored a counter-attacking goal through Austria-based Just in the 41st minute. The goal was set up by midfielder Marko Stamenic, who won back possession in the middle of the park and quickly picking out Just's run down the right flank. Just's first touch was sublime before an angled shot to the far left corner beat goalkeeper Badra Ali Sangare. The Elephants didn't start with their strongest side at BMO Stadium, but coach Emerse Fae introduced a host of leading European players in the second half in the pursuit of goals. One of their best chance came in the 92nd minute when Crocombe produced a reaction save to deny a close-range header from Brighton star winger in the English Premier League, Simon Adingra. Moments later, the final whistle sounded on just New Zealand's third win in 19 international matches against African opposition. The only injury concern was an apparent knee problem suffered by Callum McCowatt midway through the first half. He was replaced by Ben Old. The match was part of the Canadian Shield four-nation tournament. In the opening match, hosts Canada beat Ukraine 4-2. New Zealand play 25th-ranked Ukrainians on Wednesday morning in Toronto.

NRL: 'No excuse' mantra drives Warriors' record year in Australia
The Warriors have lauded a "no-excuse" mantra to travel as a large part of the reason behind the club's best ever record in Australia. Andrew Webster's men will attempt to win five straight away from New Zealand in Cronulla on Saturday night, as part of their hot start to 2025. For so long among the NRL's poorest travellers, the Warriors have spent this season dispelling the theory they are a different team at home to away. With a five-from-six record in Australia this season, the Warriors' win record of 83% in the country is the highest in the club's history. That has been crucial in the Warriors' rise to third spot, given they have historically won nearly 55% of games in New Zealand and 36% in Australia. ADVERTISEMENT Changes to the Warriors' travel approach this season have been small, but not insignificant. Officials decided after a review at the end of last season to no longer have week-long camps in Australia between away matches, as they had at times in the past. The difference has already been notable, with the Warriors winning three straight games while travelling back and forth between rounds nine and 11. The club now tries to train in the morning before flying in the afternoon when possible, allowing players to have a full 24 hours off on the previous day. And crucially, players have made a point to embrace being together away from home, becoming more social and going out to dinner more on the road. "Nothing is an excuse. We want to enjoy our travel," Webster said. "The boys talk about it more than I do. The last thing they say before they get on the plane is let's enjoy this and enjoy each other's company. The Warriors' five victory tally in Australia this year is already more than they had in all of 2024. That number is significant when considering, of the 27 seasons the Warriors have been based in New Zealand, they have won more than five matches in Australia just seven times. A win on Saturday night would also mark their equal-best winning streak in Australia since 2002, and just the fourth time in history they have won five on the trot. It's a feat not lost on ex-Warriors prop Addin Fonua-Blake, who on Saturday night will meet the club for the first time since leaving. "It was pretty hard, but it's only hard if you use it as an excuse," Fonua-Blake said. "While it wasn't ideal coming back and forth every week, a lot of the times we've seen it as a bonding opportunity. "I feel like they're getting it right at the moment. Hopefully they don't get it right this weekend."

Crusaders see off Reds for spot in semis
It wasn't pretty, but the Crusaders have recorded a dominant 32-12 win over the Reds in Christchurch. Friday night's result means the Crusaders can sit back and watch Saturday's games to find out who they'll play in next weekend's semi-finals, while the Reds will be wondering where it all went wrong after such a promising start to the season. A good start would be to look at their scrum, which was smashed to bits by the Crusaders from start to finish in tough conditions in Christchurch thanks to the horrific weather battering the South Island. Crusaders front rowers Codie Taylor, Fletcher Newell and Tamaiti Williams. The Crusaders racked up a 5-0 penalty count early in the first half, with three coming off scrums which in turn were converted into excellent field position. Scott Barrett got the home side on the board first with a well-taken yet slightly questionable try from a turnover near the Reds' line. It certainly appeared that the All Blacks captain came in from an offside position but the referee and TMO seemed more preoccupied with whether Barrett grounded the ball, which he did, so the try stood. The only other scoring in the first half, despite a couple of decent Reds linebreaks, was when Tamaiti Williams crashed over in the 27th minute. The Reds really needed to score straight after the break if they were to have any chance, however by that stage the game had regressed into more of a kicking duel. A half break by Christian Lio-Willie out of nowhere set up the try of the match to Noah Hotham, with the halfback regathering his own kick despite the attention of several Reds defenders. From then on, the result was inevitable, and while the Reds were eventually rewarded with a couple of late tries, it was clear that they'd resigned themselves to defeat long before. It wasn't all perfect for the Crusaders, though. Williams' try was his last act before leaving the field with a knee injury, while Ethan Blackadder was yellow-carded for a needless high tackle. Still, the job was done, and the Canterbury-based side now sit one game away from ultimate redemption for last season.
