According to the police, the traffic will be diverted at the junctions including Marina junction – the traffic coming from Nayapool towards Charminar will be diverted at Madina junction towards City College.
The traffic coming from Nagulchintha / Shalibanda areas towards Charminar will be diverted at Himmatpura Junction, towards Hari Bowli and Volga Junction to Fateh Darwaza Road.
At Volga junction – the traffic coming from Himmatpura will not be allowed towards Chawmohalla Palace and it will be diverted towards Volga Junction, Fateh Darwaza and traffic coming from Fateh Darwaza will be diverted towards Himmitpura Vice Versa.
The traffic coming from Puranapool (Good will café) will not be allowed towards Charminar, Chowmahalla Palace and it will be diverted at Moosabowli towards City College and Fateh Darwaza via doodbowli.
At Chowk Maidan Kaman – the traffic coming from Chowk Maidan towards Charminar will be diverted at Chowk Maidan towards Kotla Aliza or Moghalpura side.
The traffic coming from Etebar Chowk area towards Gulzar House will be diverted at Etebar Chowk towards Mandi Miralam Market or Bibi Bazar.
The traffic coming from Mitti Ka Sher will not be allowed towards Gulzar House and it will be diverted at Mitti-ke-Sher Junction towards Ghansi Bazaar to reach High court road.
The traffic coming from APAT side towards Charminar will be diverted at Lakkad Kote towards (Old CP Office Lane) and Mirlam Mandi Market (on need basis).
The police said that the restrictions apply to the RTC buses also. City Buses coming towards Charminar will be terminated at Afzalgunj. City buses coming from Falaknuma towards Charminar will be diverted at Shamsheergunj towards Tadban. RTC buses going to districts via Nayapool, Madina from MGBS, Imlibun will proceed via - Chaderghat Rotary- Nalgonda X – Chanchalguda – Saidabad - IS Sadan – DMRL – Midhani – MBNR Fly over – Bandlaguda – towards Aramghar.
The police requested the commuters to make note of the above diversions and take alternative routes to reach their destinations and cooperate with the Hyderabad traffic police.

186 buses earmarked for free travel by women
Rajamahendravaram: The free bus travel scheme for women was launched in East Godavari district by the Tourism, Culture and Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh on Friday. The inaugural event was conducted at the RTC complex in Rajamahendravaram. Following the launch, Minister Durgesh, accompanied by officials and other public representatives, embarked on a bus ride to interact with female passengers. He presented the first 'zero-fare' ticket to a traveller. The Minister explained that to avail of the free travel, girls, women, and transgender people must present a valid government-issued ID such as an Aadhaar card or Voter ID. Approximately 186 buses have been designated for the scheme in East Godavari district, and they are expected to cover over 56,000 km daily. The scheme is applicable to five types of buses: Palle Velugu, Ultra Palle Velugu, city ordinary, Metro Express, and Express. Free travel is also extended to AP Enclave buses going to neighbouring States, a measure intended to assist residents of border villages who frequently travel to Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Odisha and Telangana. The Minister highlighted the inclusion of transgender people in the scheme as a 'revolutionary' step, aimed at providing support to a community that often faces social neglect. Minister Durgesh emphasised that the coalition government is committed to delivering its promises. He mentioned that in addition to free bus travel, plans are underway to provide a monthly allowance of Rs 1,500 to women and unemployment benefits to youth. Free bus service for women may be halted on ghat routes over safety concerns
Visakhapatnam: The extension of free bus services for women in agency areas such as Alluri Sitarama Raju district, Tirupati, and Srisailam may be put on hold due to a shortage of buses and safety concerns on ghat roads. Sources said RTC officials have submitted reports warning that carrying more than 40 passengers on ghat routes could pose serious risks, and have requested additional buses to safely implement the scheme. The Paderu depot — the only one in Alluri Sitarama Raju district — operates just 47 buses across 22 routes, covering 15,000 km daily, with nearly 6,000 km on ghat roads. Except for the Paderu–Araku route, most connections to plain areas such as Narsipatnam, S Kota, and Visakhapatnam require travel through steep and winding terrain. Routes such as Munchangiput–Jolaput, Chintapalli–Seeleru, and Seeleru–Chintoor are particularly challenging. "If free services are implemented, passenger numbers will rise. Crossing 40 passengers on ghat roads becomes dangerous," a senior RTC officer said anonymously. Currently, around 20,000 passengers use RTC services daily in the district, with women making up 40%. Officials estimate that number could rise to 60% if free travel is introduced. A final decision is expected Thursday afternoon, as RTC MD holds meetings with officials from ghat road sections. "Even if buses originate from plain areas, free services may not be approved for routes passing through ghat roads," a senior official said.
