Pageant: Traffic restrictions for Heritage Walk at Charminar
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police issued traffic restrictions in connection with 72nd Miss World 2025 Heritage Walk at Charminar and a welcome dinner at Chowmahalla Palace on Tuesday. The roads leading from Madina - Charminar, Charminar - Shalibanda, Shalibanda (Rajesh Medical Hall) to Volga Junction and Volga Junction to Moosabowli via Khilwat Road will be restricted for all types of vehicular movement from 2 pm to 11 pm on Tuesday.
According to the police, the traffic will be diverted at the junctions including Marina junction – the traffic coming from Nayapool towards Charminar will be diverted at Madina junction towards City College.
The traffic coming from Nagulchintha / Shalibanda areas towards Charminar will be diverted at Himmatpura Junction, towards Hari Bowli and Volga Junction to Fateh Darwaza Road.
At Volga junction – the traffic coming from Himmatpura will not be allowed towards Chawmohalla Palace and it will be diverted towards Volga Junction, Fateh Darwaza and traffic coming from Fateh Darwaza will be diverted towards Himmitpura Vice Versa.
The traffic coming from Puranapool (Good will café) will not be allowed towards Charminar, Chowmahalla Palace and it will be diverted at Moosabowli towards City College and Fateh Darwaza via doodbowli.
At Chowk Maidan Kaman – the traffic coming from Chowk Maidan towards Charminar will be diverted at Chowk Maidan towards Kotla Aliza or Moghalpura side.
The traffic coming from Etebar Chowk area towards Gulzar House will be diverted at Etebar Chowk towards Mandi Miralam Market or Bibi Bazar.
The traffic coming from Mitti Ka Sher will not be allowed towards Gulzar House and it will be diverted at Mitti-ke-Sher Junction towards Ghansi Bazaar to reach High court road.
The traffic coming from APAT side towards Charminar will be diverted at Lakkad Kote towards (Old CP Office Lane) and Mirlam Mandi Market (on need basis).
The police said that the restrictions apply to the RTC buses also. City Buses coming towards Charminar will be terminated at Afzalgunj. City buses coming from Falaknuma towards Charminar will be diverted at Shamsheergunj towards Tadban. RTC buses going to districts via Nayapool, Madina from MGBS, Imlibun will proceed via - Chaderghat Rotary- Nalgonda X – Chanchalguda – Saidabad - IS Sadan – DMRL – Midhani – MBNR Fly over – Bandlaguda – towards Aramghar.
The police requested the commuters to make note of the above diversions and take alternative routes to reach their destinations and cooperate with the Hyderabad traffic police.

Telangana: 45 New Electric Buses Launched in Suryapet to Improve Public Transport
Forty-five new electric buses have started running in Suryapet district. Deputy Chief Minister Batti Vikramarka and Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar flagged off the buses at the Suryapet RTC depot. The event was attended by Legislative Council Chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy, MLAs Padmavati and Samel, MLC Shankar Nayak, District Collector Tejas Nanda Lal Power, SP Narasimha, and Tourism Corporation Chairman Patel Ramesh Reddy. Hundreds of Kashmiri Pandit devotees leave for Kheer Bhawani mela
The usual rush of devotees was missing this year, presumably due to the Pahalgam terror attack and the military action between India and Pakistan following it. Kheer Bhawani mela will be held at five Ragnya Bhagwati shrines at Tulmulla in Ganderbal, Manzgam and Devsar in Kulgam, Logripora in Anantnag and Tikkar in Kupwara on Tuesday. Jammu, Jun 1 (PTI) Amid tight security arrangements, hundreds of people, mostly Kashmiri Pandits, left for the Valley in a convoy of 60 buses early Sunday from here to take part in the Kheer Bhawani mela, one of the biggest religious functions of the community. Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley and other parts of the country gathered in huge numbers at the Kheer Bhawani temple at Tulmulla. Relief Commissioner (Migrants) Arvind Karwani along with Deputy Commissioner, Jammu Sachin Kumar Vaishya and senior police officers jointly flagged off the convoy of Road Transport Corporation (RTC) buses from Nagrota on the outskirts of Jammu this morning. The devotees will perform 'darshan' at the temples on Tuesday and will return to Jammu a day later. Senior Superintendent of Police, Jammu Joginder Singh said all required security arrangements have been made for the pilgrims. 'All arrangements are in place for the pilgrims with regard to their safety and security and boarding and lodging en route and in the Valley,' Relief Commissioner Karwani said. Shruti Dhar, an elderly devotee, said: 'I am a regular visitor to Kheer Bhawani and have no fear of going there this time around. We have been witnessing such situations from our childhood days. Whatever happened in Pahalgam is highly condemnable and barbaric.' Dhar, who had migrated from Sanat Nagar in Srinagar to Jammu, said she is happy to join the caravan and offer her prayers at the temple to seek blessings and pray for the prosperity of J&K, the country and the return of Pandits to the Valley. Saroj, a non-Kashmiri married to a Kashmiri Pandit, said this was her first visit to the Valley and there is no fear in her mind. 'Kashmir is part of India and the (Pahalgam) attack was possibly an attempt by the terrorists to frighten us. We have to defeat their designs and visit the place in good numbers,' she said. Delhi-based Raj Kumar, also a member of the displaced community, said the government should be more alert to prevent Pahalgam type of incidents. Sarla Bhat said she is happy to visit her birthplace in Kashmir. 'I have full faith in Mata that we will complete the pilgrimage without any trouble.'
