James Carville Says He'd Support AOC for 2028 If She Wins the Nomination
During MSNBC's 'The Beat with Ari Melber', Carville reacted to a recent survey, in which voters placed Ocasio-Cortez as the face of the Democratic Party, as per HuffPost. Where, AOC was chosen over her peers Rep. Bernie Sanders and former Vice President Kamala Harris, according to the report.
Carville pointed out that, 'Look, we lost the election,' as quoted in the report. He went on to say, 'I don't like the party. I don't blame the party reputation for being low, but I think that if AOC wants to run for president and she gets the nominee, then God bless you, you are the leader of the Democratic Party,' adding, "And whoever gets that nomination is gonna be it, and that's all,' quoted HuffPost.
His remark surprised Melber because Carville had criticised AOC, saying Democrats would be 'better off' without progressives like Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez defining the party, and also pointed out directly in April that he isn't 'impressed' by either of them, reported HuffPost.
