Stepping Into the Action Spotlight
Kiara Advani, who recently stepped into motherhood with the birth of her daughter, has been balancing the beauty of family life with a fierce cinematic resurgence. As she navigates her new role as a mother, her transformation for the upcoming film War 2 has captivated fans and industry insiders alike. In the action-thriller, directed by Ayan Mukerji and slated for release on August 14, 2025, Kiara is seen shedding her earlier image for an intense, power-packed avatar. Her strikingly lean physique, commanding presence, and dynamic action sequences have turned the spotlight on her remarkable physical and emotional evolution. In a conversation with Pinkvilla, renowned celebrity nutritionist Nicole Linhares Kedia shared that Kiara's transformation was not the result of drastic deprivation but calculated, intelligent eating. Kiara has always enjoyed traditional Indian meals, particularly home-cooked food. However, for War 2, her dietary approach underwent a significant shift. The focus was placed on recalibrating her macronutrients, particularly increasing protein consumption while carefully managing a calorie deficit. Nicole emphasized that every single ingredient was monitored—from the quantity of cooking oil to even the smallest garnish. The idea was to enhance the nutritional value of every meal to build lean muscle and cut down fat. This method allowed Kiara to remain energized and performance-ready while maintaining the essence of her desi palate."The biggest change was dialing in her macros, specifically increasing her protein intake while keeping her in a steady caloric deficit. We had to be extremely precise. Our goal was to tone and build lean muscle while reducing body fat, and that meant every ingredient had to be measured, even down to the oil used in cooking or a few shavings of Parmesan on her Buddha bowl. It wasn't about removing foods she loved, but optimising what she ate to align with getting her into her best shape," she told Pinkvilla.Despite an intense schedule filled with demanding training sessions and extended shooting hours, Kiara didn't compromise on her morning routine. Her day typically began with a high-protein breakfast — a staple being pancakes made with oat flour, walnut flour, and protein powder. These were finished off with natural sweeteners like monk fruit extract or maple syrup and fresh toppings such as berries and homemade hazelnut butter. This hearty, nutrient-dense meal helped sustain her energy levels throughout the day, satisfying her hunger while staying in sync with her body transformation goals. When it came to her main meals, lunch and dinner were designed to be both nutritious and enjoyable. Nicole revealed that Kiara's meals often featured lean proteins like grilled chicken or light chicken curries. These were accompanied by an assortment of fiber- and vitamin-rich vegetables such as asparagus and baby potatoes, along with avocado, vegetable crudités, and innovative sides like edamame pesto hummus. The meals were tailored based on Kiara's physical output each day—offering fuel without weighing her down. The menu avoided excessive fats or processed foods, instead leaning into vibrant, flavourful ingredients that kept her energized and sharp.Unlike many actors who rely heavily on supplements or synthetic protein drinks, Kiara turned to a rooted, age-old Indian remedy for post-workout replenishment—sattu chaas. This cooling beverage, made with roasted Bengal gram flour, cumin powder, and fresh coriander leaves, provided a protein-rich, hydrating boost without unnecessary additives. By embracing this desi refreshment, she remained true to her cultural roots while enhancing her recovery process. It served as a fitting example of how traditional Indian dietary elements can support even the most demanding fitness journeys. In War 2, Kiara is not confined to romantic subplots or passive support roles. Her screen presence in the film's trailer demonstrates a fierce transformation—one where she confidently steps into the action genre. From pointing firearms at Hrithik Roshan's character to engaging in powerful hand-to-hand combat, Kiara's character seems to be deeply embedded in the central storyline. Her involvement in major action sequences and her commanding screen presence suggest that she is not merely a sidekick but a central player in this high-octane narrative. The film also features Telugu superstar Jr NTR and promises a spectacle of intense drama, sharp confrontations, and explosive action.

'This Cap I Give To Very Few People': Shubman Gill Receives Heartwarming Gift From Sunil Gavaskar

India captain Shubman Gill received a special gift from 'Little Master' Sunil Gavaskar after he came close but stood too far from breaking his record for most runs by an Indian in a Test series. Shubman agonisingly fell 20 runs short of breaking Gavaskar's tally of 774 as he concluded the series with 754 runs to his name. With his robust technique, he looked poised for an extended stay on the case but was undone by a sharply nipping delivery from Gus Atkinson, punching his return ticket on 11(9). At the end of a throbbing contest on Day 3 of the fifth Test, Gavaskar met Gill, gifted a shirt with the SG initials and a special cap that he doesn't give to too many people. He hopes that after missing out on the elusive milestone by a whisker, he will strive for it in future assignments. "I have got a gift for you in anticipation of you going past (me). At least you got something to aim for in the next series. It is just a little gift. It is a shirt with SG initials, someone made it for me, I am giving this to you, but I don't know if it will fit you. This is a cap which I give to very few people with my signature. All the best," Gavaskar said after meeting Gill in a video posted by Sony Sports on X. India played a double bluff by setting up the field for a 'sweet chin music', but Siraj bowled a searing, angling yorker to rattle Zak Crawley's timber. Impressed by the brilliant piece of gambit, Gavaskar promised to wear his lucky jacket, hoping it would turn India's fortune. "That last over was fantastic. Sending a fielder over there, but then bowling the yorker. Tomorrow I am going to wear my lucky jacket, which I wore in Australia, the white one during the Gabba Test, on the last day," he concluded. In pursuit of a 374-run target, England opener Crawley and Ben Duckett raised a 50-run opening stand before the former departed on 14(36). As things stand, India is eight wickets shy of victory, while England needs 324 runs with two days left for play.
