‘Mean' Ellen DeGeneres hit with new bullying claims by Adam Carolla
'Ellen has always been a mean person,' Carolla, 61, declared during his appearance on 'After Party with Emily Dashinsky' Tuesday.
The comedian claimed that when he was on DeGeneres' former eponymous talk show, he witnessed her staff being 'real scared' of her.

'And I knew they were scared, because I was just sitting in my dressing room and their segment producer came in, and he went, 'All right, so we went over all the stuff we're going to talk about.' You know, Christmas vacation or whatever it was. And I go, 'Yeah, yeah,'' Carolla, who was on the show in 2012, recalled.

'He goes, 'You're not gonna talk about meat or beef or anything like that, right?' Carolla added. 'And he came back 20 minutes later right before I went out, and he's like, 'OK, but don't talk about beef or meat.''
'I was like, 'Oh, this guy's scared to death,'' Carolla said. 'This guy's scared.'
Carolla alleged that another member of DeGeneres' staff told him he hated working for her.

'Later on, I talked to someone who signed an NDA, so I won't say his name, but he wrote for Ellen,' he explained. 'I just went, 'How's Ellen?' And he said, 'Worst person, uh, worst person — not worst person I've worked for, worst person I've ever met.''
Carolla added that the writer allegedly used to work for Rosie O'Donnell and said that DeGeneres was a far worse boss than O'Donnell.

'Everyone was scared of her, which means she's mean,' he continued. 'She's not gonna be mean to me, I'm a guest on the show, right? I wouldn't know it from my exchanges, I would know it from how her staff was cowering.'

In 2020, current and former staffers spoke anonymously about their alleged experience on set of the talk show for a BuzzFeed News report. She apologized to staff at the time and producers Ed Glavin, Kevin Leman and Jonathan Norman exited the show.
DeGeneres — who now lives in the UK with her wife, Portia de Rossi — touched on the controversies in her final stand-up special last year, claiming she was 'kicked out of show business' following the reports of her alleged behavior.

Last April, she also joked at a show in West Hollywood that she became the 'most hated person in America.'
Like Carolla, other stars including comedian Margaret Cho and 'The Bachelorette' alum Ali Fedotowsky have called out DeGeneres for being allegedly cruel over the years.

Handheld Showdown: Steam Deck, Switch 2, ROG Ally — which console gets your vote?
The best handheld gaming consoles took off in a big way after the Steam Deck launched in 2022. Now, major companies like Asus, Lenovo and MSI are fighting to overthrow Valve's popular device. This is the best time for handheld gaming, and it should get better in the coming years. Given the popularity of handheld gaming videos on Tom's Guide's YouTube channel, we're launching a new limited series called Handheld Showdown. In Handheld Showdown, my colleague Paul Antill and I compare handheld devices and let you pick which ones move forward in the bracket. Matches include the Lenovo Legion Go S versus the Asus ROG Ally, the original Steam Deck versus the Steam Deck OLED, and more! Make sure to watch the first episode embedded above and vote for which console moves on! Here are the match-ups you can expect to see and vote on in the coming weeks. Handheld Showdown's bracket of eight was determined by our audience's ranks and input from our gaming experts. Now, we need your help to decide which four will move on to the semi-final round. That will lead us to the final two devices, and of course, the grand champion. Here are the matches, so please vote for the gaming handheld you think should win in each match-up: This is arguably the strangest match-up we have, given how these machines serve different audiences. That said, they are both handhelds, and their differences make them ideal for specific people. Do you want a robust gaming library or are you more interested in playing Nintendo games? Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. The Steam Deck OLED might seem like the easy winner here since it has a fancier panel, but the original Steam Deck shouldn't be overlooked since it still provides great value. Choosing between Steam Decks isn't as easy as it looks! The Lenovo Legion Go S is the first non-Valve gaming handheld with SteamOS, which certainly gives it a distinct advantage over other devices. However, the original Asus ROG Ally, with its ability to play almost all Windows 11 games, is still a fan-favorite. The Lenovo Legion Go is the most unique Windows handheld in this contest due to its large size and removable controllers. That said, the MSI Claw 8 AI+ and its Intel Core Ultra 7 CPU offer better performance than its aging AMD-powered rival. So those are the match-ups we'll have for Handheld Showdown! After you've voted, make sure to share this story with the folks in your gaming circles so that the best picks move on. Also, come back next week to vote on the semi-finals round! Sequel To Beloved 80s Movie About To Be Greenlit
A vast number of movies and shows from the 1980s have been revived in some form or another. One surprising movie from the 80s has yet to have received a new sequel in decades. However, that could soon change, especially based on recent reports. In fact, it looks like the sequel to this beloved 80s movie is about to be greenlit. It was previously reported that the studio behind the film, Warner Bros., was developing a follow-up to this classic IP of theirs. Of course, such statements had been made in the past. What seems to have changed, however, is the success of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice – which convinced the studio that there is a market for sequels to their older or dormant properties. This was confirmed by the star of the original film and its initial sequel, Zach Galligan, who opened up about the status on the project via ComicMovieDB on TikTok. The below video features Galligan talking about the project: '…after thirty-five years, they've come up with a script. Warner Bros. is incredibly interested in doing it. Apparently it's waiting upon Mr. Spielberg to read it and approve it.' @comicmoviedb #gremlinsmovie #reboot is happening! #zachgalligan #exclusive #stevenspielberg #gremlinsontiktok #gremlins #gremlins2 #gremlins1984 ♬ original sound – Comic Movie DB Fans of Gremlins and Gremlins 2: The New Batch will no doubt be excited by this news. While Gremlins 3 still doesn't have a greenlight, this is the most promising news so far, especially with the recent release of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice . In fact, the studio similarly already greenlit Goonies 2 , so it makes sense an announcement regarding Gremlins 3 could be just around the corner. In this case, it looks like producer Steven Spielberg just needs to approve the script. As for what the story could be about, that's anyone's guess, though this franchise hasn't been completely abandoned. In recent years, Gremlins was expanded into an animated series, so far with two seasons respectively subtitled Secrets of the Mogwai and The Wild Batch . They each took a more fantastical approach to the Gremlins mythos, providing a backstory for the iconic Mogwai creatures, and establishing the existence of other supernatural creatures. While Gremlins 3 could easily tackle some of the lore present in the animated series, a more direct sequel to the original film is also possible, with an emphasis on Zach Galligan's Billy and his continued ownership of Gizmo. Fans would no doubt appreciate a return to basics and a gremlin outbreak that features just as many scares as it does laughs, much like the first Gremlins film had to offer. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates regarding Gremlins 3 as we have it. Hopefully this potential sequel to the beloved 80s horror comedy classic can finally get off the ground.
