According to the police, the woman passed by her employer's place to meet a friend.
The woman was still at the gate when she realised that there was a white car behind her car.
The woman said as she was hooting, two men from the car approached her and allegedly forced her to open her window.
The woman said that she didn't open her window for them, and that led them to allegedly smash her car's window with no luck.
The woman then managed to drive inside the yard, and that was unfortunately not an escape for her.
One of the men allegedly followed her and continued smashing her car's window until it broke.
The man allegedly pointed a firearm at her and forcefully grabbed her handbag with cellphone, cash, and bank card.
Sergeant David Ratau, Witbank Police spokesperson, gave out a tip in case of a robbery: 'Comply and remain calm. Do not be a hero; your life is worth more.'
Police are urging members of the community to be vigilant at all times, as criminals' traps are always beyond their expectations.

Parents alarmed as Instagram accounts target Mbombela learners
The recent activation of a number of Instagram accounts has left parents fearing for their children's well-being and lives. According to Lowvelder, the first account, called Exposing Nelspruit, became active on the evening of July 21, when a Grade 10 learner of Hoërskool Nelspruit came across disturbing content shared about fellow learners. The account uses Instagram stories to spread rumours and publicly shame learners from various local high schools. Learners targeted online It appears to target learners from Hoërskool Nelspruit and Hoërskool Bergvlam in particular, often posting unverified claims about their alleged sexual activity and insulting their character. A concerned parent, who asked to remain anonymous to protect her child's identity, told Lowvelder: 'I'm afraid my child might decide to take his own life based on lies.' The group is most active between 17:00 and 21:00, during which time followers submit rumours that are then shared anonymously by the account. The original account was banned after a wave of reports from followers. However, second and third accounts — called Exposing Nelspruit 2 and Nelspruit se Drama — have since been created. Schools respond The targeted schools both shared their views on the matter. Principal Willie van der Merwe of Hoërskool Nelspruit said: 'The school condemns any form of bullying, victimisation and discrimination of any kind, including on online platforms. The school remains proactive in addressing these challenges through awareness campaigns, partnerships and clear policies that prioritise student protection. We also urge learners and parents to use the current systems and mechanisms to report incidences where the school can support them. The school-based support team is available to provide advice and guidance.' Principal Deon Visser of Hoërskool Bergvlam added: 'The school condemns any form of unlawful activity and emphasises that such behaviour will not be tolerated. We believe in upholding the law and ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals. Bergvlam hopes that the perpetrator(s) will be brought to justice and that the relevant authorities will take the necessary actions to address the situation.' Legal expert weighs in Media law specialist Helene Viljoen expressed serious concern about the social media activity and the wider issue of cyberbullying. 'We all have the right to freedom of speech, but it is legally limited,' she said. 'If someone makes allegations without evidence, they are unlawfully defaming someone and could be sued for up to R500 000. Making statements that amount to personal insults and violate someone's dignity constitutes crimen injuria — a crime punishable by law.' Viljoen also warned that electronic communications may lead to charges of harassment and intimidation. 'Comments must be true and in the public interest before being posted publicly,' she added. Viljoen urged affected parents to visit the magistrate's court with their children to apply for a protection order, which would allow the SAPS to investigate the matter. Court orders Meta to co-operate She highlighted a recent legal development: 'A court recently ordered Meta to grant SAPS access to user data linked to harmful anonymous messages sent via WhatsApp or Instagram. This enables investigations and arrests.' The order was handed down by the Johannesburg High Court in mid-July, following legal action led by Emma Sadleir of the Digital Law Company. Monique Strydom leads powerful Mandela Day child protection initiative on South Coast
Neither the cold nor the rain could keep them away – more than 40 volunteers gathered at the Ramsgate Lions Club recently. Driven by a powerful mission: to bring comfort and hope to young girls who have survived rape and sexual abuse, it was a day of tears, courage and healing; and one led by someone who knows trauma all too well. Monique Strydom, best-selling author, motivational speaker and founder of the award-winning non-governmental organisation Matla A Bana – A Voice Against Child Abuse – stood at the heart of the gathering, helping pack 100 comfort kits destined for KwaZulu-Natal's Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) units. It was the first time the packs, filled with essential items for child survivors, were assembled on the KZN South Coast. Strydom's own story is one of survival and transformation. In 2000, she made international headlines when she and her husband were kidnapped by Al Qaeda militants in the Philippines. Held hostage for four harrowing months, she returned home with a renewed purpose, to protect the most vulnerable. The initiative, hosted in partnership with the Ramsgate Lions Club and supported by the Ramsgate Community Police Forum, formed part of a Mandela Day outreach. Volunteers packed each bag with care – including soap, snacks, a toothbrush, colouring book, new underwear, tissues, and a soft toy – each item chosen to ease the trauma during the first hours of reporting abuse. Strydom stressed the real impact these packs have on the criminal justice process. 'It's overwhelming to realise that 100 packs will only last about three days. But each one helps a child. When we reduce their trauma, they are more able to give strong, clear statements. That means more convictions, and more dangerous criminals off our streets.' The packs were handed over to Saps commanders from the Margate and Port Shepstone FCS units. Captain Nivi Lutchminarain, commander of Margate Saps FCS praised Matla A Bana's ongoing support, calling the partnership 'invaluable to frontline officers and survivors alike'. Matla A Bana, which was recently able to open its first KZN office in Ramsgate, is already planning its next steps. The NGO also aims to upgrade the FCS victim support rooms in Margate and Port Shepstone and provide specialised trauma training to 20 detectives in the area. 'KwaZulu-Natal has some of the highest child rape statistics in the country, yet getting funding for this region remains a massive challenge,' said Strydom. 'But every one of these volunteers, every donated pack, every brave little girl we help – it all adds up to something bigger. Change is not only possible, it's already happening.' Suspect arrested with R4m worth of dagga
A man was on Tuesday arrested in Dundee for dealing in dagga after he was found in possession of 90 bags of compressed dagga. SAPS spokesperson Constable Thenjiswa Ngcobo said the arrest comes after the police had gathered intelligence about a vehicle that was spotted entering the country, from Eswatini via Paulpietersburg, with a load of dagga. 'Proactive police officers from Glencoe K9 unit, Zululand District Task Team, as well as Dundee Crime Prevention members operationalised the information, and the vehicle matching the description was spotted on the R33 driving towards Blood River. 'Members attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver sped away. A chase ensued, and the police managed to stop the vehicle in Dundee. Upon searching the vehicle, police found compressed bags of dagga on the passenger seat, the back seat, as well as in the boot. 'A total of 90 bags full of dagga, with an estimated street value of R4-million, were seized. The suspect (32) was subsequently arrested and charged with dealing in dagga.
