Melissa McCarthy And Ben Falcone Recreate Iconic Movie Scene During Fun Date Night
Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone are couple goals, and they know how to make date night iconic.
On Friday, August 8, McCarthy shared a carousel of photos from their time together making things out of clay at Wild Clay in Claremont, Calif. before the studio's grand opening. The first three photos feature the Bridesmaids actress showing off her clay-covered hands, as well as a bowl and a beer stein she created.
The fourth photo captured the true essence of McCarthy's relationship with her husband of 19 years. In it, McCarthy is looking away dreamily as Falcone embraces her from behind, his hand on hers as she works the clay. It's straight out of the movie Ghost, when Demi Moore's character, Molly, gets the same treatment from Patrick Swayze's Sam.

She captioned the post, "We had the BEST time at Wild Clay LA!!!!!!! Joshua was an amazing teacher. I really found my inner Demi!! Grand Opening Soon!! @wildclayla Grand opening Thursday 8/14 994 W Foothill Blvd Claremont, CA 91711."
The photos were both a glimpse into their date night and a cosign for the pottery studio, which had her fans in an uproar.
One thought McCarthy was referencing her Gilmore Girls character at first, writing, "This pic screams 'Sookie' when I saw it. Then realized it's clay and not cooking in the kitchen 🤣."
Another demanded more funny movies with their comment that said, "I need a new Melissa McCarthy movie, they always make me laugh the most. How about one where you are in the NYPD, of The Heat 2. We need more Mullins."
Someone else suggested that date night at the pottery studio could turn into a new hobby. They said, "Be careful it's a slippery slope. Next thing you know you're installing a kiln in the garage 🤣."
Yet another wrote, "Haha Are you getting ready for the remake of 'Ghost'? This one would be epically hilarious!!"
"Yall are just so cute and there is obviously so much love and respect and FUN!" a fifth commenter shared.Melissa McCarthy And Ben Falcone Recreate Iconic Movie Scene During Fun Date Night first appeared on Parade on Aug 9, 2025

Harvey Weinstein's next retrial could happen this fall
Disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein faces sentencing and a possible retrial in his New York City sex crimes case. Manhattan Judge Curtis Farber said that he could sentence Weinstein on 30 September, but only if there's no retrial on a rape charge that the last jury failed to decide. If there is a retrial, the judge wants it to happen this fall. Weinstein, 73, was convicted in June of forcing oral sex on TV and movie production assistant and producer Miriam Haley in 2006. The charge carries a possible sentence of up to 25 years in prison. At the same time, the same jury acquitted him of forcing oral sex on model Kaja Sokola, but couldn't decide a charge that he raped hairstylist and actress Jessica Mann in 2013. Manhattan prosecutors reiterated on Wednesday that they and Mann are ready for another trial on the rape charge. In this case, any conviction is punishable by up to four years in prison. Prosecutors requested a January trial date, but Farber proposed the fall. 'The case needs to be tried this year,' Farber said. Weinstein lawyer Arthur Aidala agreed, urging the judge to set the earliest possible date. If a fall trial happens, it would likely put Weinstein's high-profile #MeToo case back in court as Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is in the final stage of his reelection bid. Bragg, a first-term Democrat who made prosecuting sex crimes cases a priority, has expressed satisfaction with Weinstein's conviction on a criminal sex act charge related to Haley. Bragg has said Mann deserves a verdict on her part of the case. 'This work, first and foremost, is about the survivors, and that's why we're prepared to go forward," Bragg said in June. Weinstein also stands convicted of sex crimes in California. He is appealing that verdict and continued to deny all of the allegations against him.

Demi Lovato Brought Back These Controversial Pants From the '50s
"Hearst Magazines and Yahoo may earn commission or revenue on some items through these links." Never has Demi Lovato looked better, and never has a dry cleaning run looked this chic. Yesterday, the singer was seen out in New York City's Chelsea neighborhood, picking up a bright fuchsia party dress while in a classic 1950s-style getup that included a skintight crop top and even tighter pants. The top was a cream, long-sleeve piece with an elegant twisted detail at the chest. The slinky piece left Lovato's abs bare, and then, her pants took the spotlight. These were inky, stretchy, vintage-style cigarette pants with belt loops at the top and a silhouette that hugged the pop star's legs. The off-duty look nodded to the cult-classic film Grease, and Lovato looked like the ultimate Pink Lady. She further played into the nostalgia with her accessories: black, pointy leather slingbacks from Saint Laurent, and oversize, black shield-style aviator sunglasses. Her only jewelry was her massive diamond engagement ring from husband Jutes. Lovato's stop in New York City comes as she made millennial hearts skip a beat on Sunday night, when she joined the Jonas Brothers on stage during the opening night of their 20th-anniversary tour, JONAS20. She and ex-boyfriend-turned-friend Joe Jonas even made us heal a little as they performed Camp Rock classics including 'This Is Me' and 'Wouldn't Change a Thing.' Lovato is also back to making music. Earlier this month, she released her latest single 'Fast,' and a new album is expected in 2026. 5 things we learned from Taylor Swift's appearance on the ‘New Heights' podcast
Taylor Swift got candid in a nearly two-hour pre-recorded podcast with her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce that at one point brought more than a million viewers to a YouTube stream on Wednesday evening. Teasers released ahead of her inaugural appearance on 'New Heights' revealed the singer would be talking about her new album, 'The Life of a Showgirl' and opening up about her historic Eras Tour, which concluded in December 2024. She hit on both subjects at length in the episode, but some of the most exciting moments came from conversations that were less anticipated – like when she got emotional speaking about the moment she learned she was going to once again own her entire catalog of music or when she opened up about her parents' health struggles this summer. Here are some of the highlights from their conversation: 'The Life of a Showgirl' will be released on October 3 and will include 12 tracks – a nod to this being the pop superstar's 12th studio album — including a final song featuring Sabrina Carpenter. 'This is the record I've been wanting to make for a very long time,' Swift said. The album marks a reunion between Swift and legendary producers Max Martin and Shellback, who worked with her pop-heavy hits 'Red,' '1989' and 'Reputation.' These albums also feature several of her top songs, including 'Shake It Off,' 'Delicate,' 'Blank Space' and 'I Knew You were Trouble.' Swift said her goal for the new album was to have 'melodies that were so infectious that you're almost angry at it' and lyrics that were 'just as vivid but crisp and focused and completely intentional.' Swift said the album's theme is 'everything that was going on behind the curtain,' later saying she wanted the cover to communicate the same idea. It's 'the life beyond the show,' she said. Asked of the significance behind the album's orange iconography, Swift explained that it is 'energetically how my life has felt,' she said, describing it as 'exuberant and electric and vibrant.' Jason Kelce, a retired center for the Philadelphia Eagles and Super Bowl champ, then asked if he'd get to hear the album ahead of time, to which Swift said no. 'We don't trust you at all,' she said. He replied: 'Honestly, smart.' How Travis Kelce and Swift came to be one of the most famous power couples around is now well-known lore, and Swift joked that the podcast 'got me a boyfriend.' But her beau said he actually gives the Eras Tour credit for their relationship. 'If I never would have gone to that show and just been mesmerized and just been captivated and then left with such a desire to want to meet you, I would have never went on here and told everybody how butthurt I was (when he didn't get a chance to give her a friendship bracelet he'd made for her). I had never been so engulfed in the curiosity of who you were,' he said. Swift made an audible 'aww' and added 'that's really beautiful.' His brother quipped in response: 'The best part of that statement is that you didn't know what the word 'engulfed' meant before you met Taylor.' Swift and Travis Kelce appeared incredibly comfortable with one another throughout the episode, often sitting with arms intertwined. At another point in the episode, Swift revealed the 'green flag' she saw early on as she got to know Travis Kelce was his ability to maintain friendships. 'Travis has had the same friends since he was probably four years old,' she said. 'He's incredibly good at maintaining friendships and is so loyal and his friends are equally loyal and the funniest, most hilarious group of people.' Travis Kelce described Swift's 'reclaiming' of her master recordings as one of his favorite things that happened this summer, launching Swift into a detailed account of how it came to be. Swift said she sent her mother and brother to Los Angeles to discuss acquiring her music catalog with the private equity company Shamrock Capital that previously owned her music. 'They sat down with Shamrock Capital and they told them what this meant for me,' she recalled. 'They told them the whole story of all the times we've tried to buy it, all the times it's fallen through.' Swift said she received news that she acquired her master recordings a few months after the Super Bowl. 'I get a call from my mom and she's like, 'You got your music,'' Swift said while tearing up. 'It's literally been so long since this happened, and it's every time I talk about it….I just like very dramatically hit the floor for real. Honestly, just started like bawling my eyes out, and I'm just like weeping.' Travis Kelce admitted he started crying, too. 'You were weeping,' she echoed. In May, Swift became the owner of her entire catalog of music, roughly six years after she protested the sale of the master recordings of her first six albums by her former record label. Swift announced the news in a letter posted to her website at the time, writing that 'all of the music I've ever made… now belongs… to me.' The Grammy-winner specified that she owns all her music videos, concert films, album art and photography, along with unreleased songs and that she purchased her music 'outright with no strings attached, no partnership, full autonomy,' from Shamrock Capital. Her schedule might appear perpetually packed, but Swift actually does have free time and hobbies, which include painting, cooking and 'a different baking obsession every six months.' Travis Kelce joked: 'I'm the luckiest man in the world.' 'Right now, we're very deep in a sourdough obsession that has taken over my life,' she added. Travis Kelce says he is very grateful to be running and training as much as he is right now, because 'I am getting the caloric intake.' Taylor Swift said he asked her to send him two loaves of sourdough at training camp. 'I'm talking about bread 60% of the times now,' she said. Meanwhile, she has been perfecting a 'funfetti sourdough' for Jason Kelce's children 'because they love sprinkles.' 'It's gonna blow their mind,' Jason Kelce said. Work hard, recover harder – that's a principle both Travis Kelce and Swift seem to follow dutifully. Swift opened about about the grueling toll her three-hour performances would take on her. 'It was a lot of physical therapy and it was a lot of being in a state of perpetual discomfort,' she said. She told Travis Kelce, '(It's) kind of like when you're in season. I'm not getting hit by huge 300-pounders, but the heels…' Travis Kelce recalled seeing what he called 'the recovery station' at the hotel. 'S**t, I'm telling you, dude, the similarities were crazy,' Kelce said. 'I was like, 'Oh my Gosh. She does more than I do.'' He added: 'We related on how much torture we put our bodies through.' CNN's Alli Rosenbloom, Megan Thomas and Dan Heching contributed to this report.
