While viewers accepted Francine Osborne actress Isabelle was a worthy winner, they were keen for popular Laura, who plays Nicola Mitchell, to get her flowers.
One person wrote on X: "ITVX cutting the chants for Laura is EVIL."
Another said: "I was gutted Laura didn't win this award but the huge (edited out) chants of 'Laura! Laura! Laura!' from the audience hopefully made up for it."
A third fumed: "Naw as if they cut out our chant for Laura Dodington...fuming."
In total, Enders scooped eight awards on the night including the coveted Best Soap, Best Leading Performer and Scene of the Year.
The televised ceremony got off to a nightmare start when a tech issue forced it off air for seven minutes.
An apology message read: "We're sorry for the disruption."
Fans were quick to take to social media with their complaints.
One wrote: "What the hell is going on ? Will it ever come on?"
A second said: "Oh dear looks like we got major problems on ITV1."
Sharon Watts furiously punches rival Nicola Mitchell in new EastEnders feud
A third commented: "Well, I guess I am not watching The Soap Awards on ITVX. What's going on?"
While other fans thought the broadcaster was deliberately sabotaging the awards - which saw BBC rival EastEnders pick up a number of awards on the night.
One wrote: "British Soap Awards not on are ITV going to be sorry for the disruption for the next 2 hours just because EastEnders won almost everything."
Coronation Street suffered a devastating loss, bagging just the specially curated Outstanding Achievement Award which went to Roy Cropper star David Neilson.
The show failed to secure wins in any of the main panel or viewer-voted categories amid ITV's ongoing cash crisis and the mass cast exodus at the soap over the past six months.

Kym Marsh, 49, seemingly hits back at resurfaced Hear'Say 'fat-shaming' clip as she flashes her abs in a black sports bra while posing for a sizzling mirror selfie
Kym Marsh has seemingly hit back at a viral 'fat-shaming' clip from her Hear'Say heyday as she flashed her abs in a mirror selfie on Instagram on Tuesday. In the resurfaced 2002 clip, the singer, 49, was seen being ordered to ' lose weight ' by judge Nigel Lythgoe - who earned the nickname 'Nasty Nigel' for his scathing behaviour on pioneering ITV talent show Popstars. Now, taking to social media, Kym showed off her sizzling figure as she posed for a new selfie. The star turned heads as she flaunted her toned physique in a black sports bra and leggings. 'Building a better me,' she penned on top of the snap. It comes after her former bandmate Myleene Klass, 47, took to Instagram to lash out at comments made by judge Nigel on the ITV show. In the resurfaced 2002 clip, the singer, 49, was seen being ordered to ' lose weight ' by judge Nigel Lythgoe - who earned the nickname 'Nasty Nigel' for his scathing behaviour on pioneering ITV talent show Popstars During their time on the show, Nigel criticised Kym's looks and instructed her to 'lose some weight' as he quizzed her over her diet and fitness during the formation of Hear'Say, their band which ran from 2001 to 2002. In the clip, Kym asked, 'Do you think I'm fat?', to which Nigel replied, 'I think you've put weight on over Christmas, are you exercising, is the diet right?' Kym replied: 'I've just started it today', prompting Nigel to add, 'You need to lose some weight you're going on show six weeks from now, six weeks.' Myleene has reshared the video to her Instagram Stories and said being fat-shamed was a 'daily' occurrence, while stylists would remove sizes from clothes to hide 'the shame' of having double-digit sizes. She wrote: 'Yes Daily. Stylist often cut the sizes out of some bands outfits to hide the 'shame' of 'double digits'. 'My Hear'say diaries are FULL of this s***. The boys were also shamed. Remember, TFI Friday had scales on set.' Kym has been open about her struggles with self-image in the past, saying she became bulimic after she started comparing herself to smaller girls while at stage school when she was younger. Nigel previously defended his comments about Kym on the show, saying: '[She's] looking fabulous now, acting brilliantly, and she's made a huge career for herself.' Hear'Say formed on ITV show Popstars in 2001 and found success with their number one hit Pure and Simple. Their first album Popstars, was a huge hit but their success quickly dwindled by the time they released their second album Everybody. They split up in October 2002, less than two years after being put together on Popstars and cited 'abuse from the public' at the time as the primary reason behind the breakup. Speaking last year, about what pressures she felt as a young person in the spotlight, Myleene told Loose Women viewers their management would 'control how much we were eating' as they were scared they would become 'fat'. She said: 'I mean the scrutiny for a start. My daughter is 17 and if I look at one of my band members Suzie she was 18, so that's one year away. 'I think if someone put my daughter through that level of scrutiny or pressure...' Although she admitted that things have got a lot better since then, Myleene went on to add: 'Some of the experiences that we went through we were in no way equipped for it. 'We were just five kids in a room at the end of the day - not unlike these five kids in a room and that's all you have.'

The Repair Shop on August 5, 2025 | BBC The Repair Shop is back for another episode on the BBC. It is due to start at 8pm on BBC One/ iPlayer and will be followed by The Great British Sewing Bee. The preview for the episode via the BBC reads: 'First through the barn doors is Ruth from Nottinghamshire, carrying a weather-worn concrete portrait of her late father David, a passionate beekeeper. This remarkable artwork was commissioned as a gift to her father by Ruth herself, and it's the delicate task of paintings conservator Lucia Scalisi to restore it to its former splendour. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad 'However, the challenge of recreating David's faded features – and particularly the swarm of bees that accompany him – proves unexpectedly tricky for Lucia, who's more used to working with canvas, and it takes a couple of false starts before she finally hits her artistic stride. 'Next, silversmith Brenton West meets Ian and his daughter Issy, who bring in a rare and precious silver statuette of a paratrooper. One of only 100 ever made, this beautiful object belonged to Ian's father John, a proud veteran of the parachute regiment, and was one of his most treasured possessions. 'But after surviving a dramatic shipwreck off the coast of Tenerife, the statuette has been left battered and tarnished, with its silver parachute strings a torn and tangled mess. Can Brenton bring the paratrooper back from the dead, restore the statuette's shine and honour a lifetime of service?' It continues: 'Pari from Ormskirk brings in a precious heirloom from her childhood in Iran – a traditional leather baby hammock of extraordinarily intricate design, in which her own brother was once swaddled. Leather expert Suzie Fletcher has the mammoth task of reconstructing its missing loops and reinstating the decorative stitching, with only a hand-drawn diagram left by Pari's late mother to go on. Can she revive this much-loved link to Pari's past and to the Iranian in-laws who welcomed her English mother into their hearts? Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad The Repair Shop at Christmas. | BBC / Ricochet / Cody Burridge 'Finally, metalworker Dom Chinea tackles a battered flight case once owned by Trevor Bolder, legendary bassist for Uriah Heep and David Bowie's Spiders from Mars. Now the proud possession of Trevor's fellow Hull musician Lindsey, the case and its fittings are covered in rust and barely functional. 'It's down to Dom to restore it in time for its next gig – a slot at Glastonbury – and create a new chapter in rock history.' Who are the experts on The Repair Shop?' As seen above, the preview states that the experts for the latest will include Brenton West, Dom Chinea, Suzie Fletcher and Lucia Scalisi.
