Sawan Shivratri: Choppers shower flower at prominent Shiva temples and devotees in Uttar Pradesh
A grand flower shower was organised on the auspicious occasion of Sawan Shivratri, which saw helicopters showering petals on major Shiva temples in Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar and other places, offering a heartfelt tribute to the unwavering faith of thousands of worshippers.
Similar aerial flower showers were also carried out across various locations in Uttar Pradesh during the Sawan month to honour 'Kanwariyas' and Lord Shiva devotees.
In Gorakhpur, the flower shower from helicopters was conducted over prominent temples, including the Gorakhnath Temple, the ancient Mansarovar Temple, Mukteshwar Nath Temple, Jharkhandi Mahadev Temple, Munjeshwar Nath Temple in Bhauwapar, Moteshwar Shiva Temple in Pipraich, and the Tameshwar Nath Temple in Sant Kabir Nagar, creating a deeply spiritual and memorable experience for the worshippers.
Earlier in the day, the Goraksha Peethadhishwar and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath performed Rudrabhishek at the ancient Mansarovar Temple in Andhiyari Bagh, where he invoked blessings from Lord Shiva for the happiness and prosperity of the state residents.
CM Yogi performed Rudrabhishek with water, cow milk, and sugarcane juice, and offered sacred items such as bilva patra, lotus flowers, durva grass, and various other traditional offerings to Mahadev.
The ritual was conducted by the learned priests of the Gorakhnath Temple, who chanted the Mahamantras from the Rudrashtadhyayi of the Shukla Yajurveda Samhita.
Following the Rudrabhishek, the Chief Minister performed havan and aarti, accompanied by the resonant chanting of Vedic mantras. He prayed to Mahadev for a life of good health, happiness, prosperity, and peace for the people of the state.

Putrada Ekadashi holds great importance in Sanatan Dharma and is observed every year on the Ekadashi of the Shukla Paksha in the month of Sawan (Shravan). Devotees worship Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi on this day and observe a fast in their honour. Devotees may take a holy bath and perform rituals dedicated to Lakshmi-Narayan Ji at a suitable time during this period. Putrada Ekadashi Parana Timing The fast for Putrada Ekadashi will be broken on 6th August, with the Parana window lasting from 5:45 AM to 8:26 AM. During this time, devotees are advised to bathe and offer prayers to Lakshmi-Narayan Ji. After the devotional rituals, they may conclude the fast by donating food and performing acts of charity. Putrada Ekadashi Shubh Yoga This year, Putrada Ekadashi will align with the auspicious Indra Yoga, along with the formation of Bhadraavas Yoga. On this day, Bhadra will remain in Swarga Lok until 11:43 AM before transitioning to Patal Lok. Worshipping Lakshmi-Narayan Ji while Bhadra resides in either Swarga or Patal is believed to bring blessings and fulfill devotees' heartfelt wishes.

Deoghar district officials helps 349 lost Kanwarias return home in Jharkhand
Deoghar (Jharkhand), Jul 30 (PTI) The Deoghar administration has safely sent 349 Kanwariyas, who got lost or failed to return home after visiting Baba Temple to offer holy water during the ongoing month-long 'Shravani Mela' in Jharkhand's Deoghar district, back to their respective homes by making travel arrangements and providing financial assistance. The administration's initiative was implemented by the Central Lost and Found Centre-cum-Inter-state Information Assistance Centre set up at R L Sharraf School premises in the district, an official statement said on Wednesday. The district administration has been providing food and travel assistance to those Kanwariyas through the Central Lost and Found Centre cum Inter-State Information Assistance Centre. The objective of the initiative is to help the visiting Kanwariyas, who get separated from their families and to send them back to their homes. As part of this effort, the district administration made their travel arrangements and provided railway passes to a total of 349 such Kanwariyas so far, so that they could go back to their respective homes, the statement said. The administration has also provided financial assistance to some of them, it said. An amount of Rs 12,935 has been distributed among the lost Kanwariyas through the centre as part of the initiative so far. Meanwhile, altogether 1,99,287 Kanwariyas have offered holy water to Lord Shiva at Baba Temple in Deoghar on Tuesday, the 19th day of month-long mela.
