Miss England Milla Magee quits Miss World 2025 due to..., alleges 'sexual abuse' by... says 'was made to feel like a prostitute
This year, the 72nd Miss World Festival announced the 20 finalists of the prestigious Head 2 Head Challenge following a riveting first round held in Telangana, as per the press note shared by Information& Public Relations (I&PR) Telangana. The grand finale of Miss World 2025 was scheduled to be held on May 31 in Telangana.
In a candid interview with The Sun, 24-year-old Milla shared her disheartening experience and stated, 'I went there to make a difference but we had to sit like performing monkeys.' She further added, 'It's stuck in the past. Morally I couldn't be a part of it.' According to The Sun, Heartbroken by her experience, Milla Magee revealed she 'felt like a prostitute' and claimed the Miss World organisers treated her and other contestants as 'entertainment' for the benefit of wealthy male sponsors.
She called the pageant 'outdated' and revealed that some of the 109 contestants were even scolded for being 'boring.'
Although her May 16 departure marked a historic first—no Miss England had ever quit in the competition's 74-year history—it was initially brushed off as due to 'personal reasons.'
Milla arrived in Hyderabad, India, on May 7, expecting a meaningful lead-up to the Miss World final—but it didn't take long for her to feel out of place.
Instead of celebrating their individuality, contestants were expected to wear full makeup at all times and remain in ball gowns even during breakfast, leaving Milla feeling more like a spectacle than a participant.
