Oscar-nominated actor 'to play Glastonbury set' after unveiling incredible vocals
Timothée Chalamet is reportedly set to play a secret set at Glastonbury Festival 025 following his incredible performance as Bob Dylan
Timothée Chalamet is reportedly set to play a secret set at Glastonbury 2025 following his incredible performance as Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown.
After stepping into the iconic shoes of the music icon for a critically acclaimed biopic that stormed awards season, Timothée, 29, turned heads not only for his portrayal but for singing Dylan's classics himself rather than lip-syncing.
Now, rumors suggest that Chalamet will be bringing that same raw vocal energy to Glastonbury 2025 - specifically, to an unannounced set that's already buzzing with speculation.
The Sun reports that Chalamet is tipped to appear on the Acoustic Stage on Saturday, June 28, as part of the Dylan-inspired ensemble Not Completely Unknown.
The listing for the band on Glastonbury's official site hints at 'special guests,' further fueling the whispers.
If it happens, it would mark the first time Chalamet has taken his Dylan interpretations into a true live concert setting outside of film promotions.
Earlier this year, he performed a small collection of songs on Saturday Night Live with James Blake, kicking off with a full-band rendition of 'Outlaw Blues' (from Bringing It All Back Home, 1965).
He then sang 'Three Angels' from New Morning (1970), where Blake joined him, and he wrapped the set with a stripped-back acoustic version of 'Tomorrow Is A Long Time.'
This year's Glastonbury lineup boasts major names like The 1975, Neil Young, and Olivia Rodrigo.
Back in March, organisers confirmed their huge 2025 line-up. It came just hours after social media sleuths managed to find out who was performing and leak an unofficial poster.
Later this year, 210,000 music lovers will head to Worthy Farm in Somerset for five days, taking in all of the music as well as everything the festival site has to offer. This year, bosses have confirmed that Glastonbury will run from June 25 to June 29.
This year, tickets for Glastonbury sold out in just 35 minutes, despite nobody knowing who was performing.
2025 will be a year to remember for festival goers as bosses had previously confirmed that next year, the festival will take a rest for a fallow year.
This year, The 1975, Neil Young and Olivia Rodrigo will headline. Meanwhile, Sir Rod Stewart will play the legends slot, and was the first name to be announced as part of the huge line-up. Sir Rod follows in the footsteps of the likes of Shania Twain, Kylie Minogue and Diana Ross.
Previous names that had been speculated for Glastonbury included the likes of Rihanna, Basement Jaxx, Chappel Roan and Stevie Wonder. Organisers had already announced back in January that Neil would headline the Pyramid Stage.
He had previously said that he had pulled out of the festival, which he described as a "corporate turn-off". Days later though, Neil said that he would perform at Glastonbury, saying there had been "an error in the information received," and his involvement was also confirmed by organisers around the same time.

Stormzy takes first acting role as he launches film production company
After conquering the charts, Glastonbury's Pyramid stage and launching his own publishing imprint, Stormzy is taking his first steps into the world of movies with starring in a short film about the travails of an ex-rapper. Big Man will be made by the rap star's own production company Merky Films in association with Apple, and feature Stormzy – in a sizable wig – as the lead character Tenzman, 'a former rap star now navigating a restless and uncertain chapter of his life'. The film is directed by Aneil Karia, who won an Oscar in 2022 for his short film The Long Goodbye, which starred Riz Ahmed. Released on YouTube on 18 June, Big Man blends 'humour, vulnerability and quiet transformation', according to the team behind it, who added that 'the film thoughtfully explores themes of reconnecting with your younger self and embracing gratitude'. 'It's a natural next step for everything we do at #Merky,' Stormzy added. 'Sharing our stories, spotlighting important voices and making room for those who deserve to be seen and heard.' Stormzy has built a growing empire away from his music work that blends grant-giving, literature and sport – with a book imprint (#Merky Books, which is part of Penguin Random House), #Merky FC in collaboration with Adidas, and his own foundation. The rapper, whose real name is Michael Ebenazer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr, said that the film company is something he has 'been dreaming about for ages', calling it a space for 'powerful British stories and a solid home for fresh, unexpected art'. He said: 'I hope you love our first project, Big Man, as much as we loved making it. For me, it's all about the joy, spirit and fearless energy of youth – that feeling like life is one big adventure and the world's your playground. I hope it inspires you to dream bigger, live louder and hold on to that unapologetic energy that comes with being young.' #Merky Films is also developing a drama series and what it is calling 'a seminal biopic that promises to leave a lasting cultural mark', although the subject of the film is to be confirmed. The company is also working on what it calls 'thought-provoking documentaries', a 'bold new animation project' and a 'boundary-pushing, new-age mockumentary'. Stormzy will be joined on screen by Klevis Brahja, who was street cast for his part, and Jaydon Eastman, who starred in The Lion King UK and Ireland tour as Young Simba. The news came after Black British film-makers and producers told the Guardian they were 'fighting over scraps' amid lack of opportunities, with some claiming conditions are worse now than before the Black Lives Matter movement in 2020. Andy Mundy-Castle, the founder of the indie company Doc Hearts, who won a Bafta and a Royal Television Society award in 2024 for the documentary White Nanny, Black Child, said despite critical acclaim it was as difficult as ever to get commissions. 'You are so far removed from the top of the food chain that you just get the scraps … we aren't given the biggest opportunities,' he said.

Why Helena and Harry's shotgun trip to The Hideaway means Love Island's rediscovered its sex factor
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) CALL me a voyeur, but I'm a 40-year-old, married woman who is hot under the collar at the idea lust is back on Love Island. The Sun told yesterday how two of this year's intake enjoyed a sleepover in the private Hideaway boudoir just 56 hours after meeting. 6 Blonde cabin crew Helena Ford enjoyed a sleepover in the Hideaway Credit: itv 6 Semi-pro footballer Harry Cooksley is now coupled up with another Islander Credit: itv It's even juicier because - officially - both blonde cabin crew Helena Ford and semi-pro footballer Harry Cooksley are coupled up with other Islanders. Of course it helps that both are cut straight from the Barbie and Ken mould, with matching abs, glowing tans and designer locks. So when I heard from my source that the pin-up pairing had snuck away on Monday to spend the night in the private bedroom, I was gleeful. That's not because I get my kicks watching twenty-somethings frolic in a Majorcan villa - honest, Mr Cross. It's because it was the early sign of promise that sex might just be back on Love Island after years of celibacy. Bold choice too far Let me lead you astray, back to 2015 when the ITV dating series first plunged a group of youngsters into a luxury villa and encouraged them to find, ahem, love. The series' main characters were John Lee and Hannah Elizabeth, who weren't afraid to get down to it in the communal bedroom. Despite Michelle and Stuart, then Makosi and Anthony engaging in a public PDA on Big Brother in 2004 and 2005 respectively, such bold antics felt entirely new to TV viewers and split the nation. But nothing prepared the pearl clutchers for what happened a year on. The entire cast let rip, with eight couples going all the way - usually in the shared bedroom - which was all fun and games until ITV bosses took two specific editorial decisions too far. Love Island fans spot clue islander is 'faking' claim he has never shared a bed with a girl Beauty queen Zara Holland was stripped of her Miss GB title after having sex with Alex Bowen in the Hideaway in 2016. The judges were said to have been particularly offended by a scene which saw her visibly enjoying the act. Then, another late night scene showed Emma-Jane Woodham on top of Terry Walsh, above the bed covers. It was a bold choice too far - even after the 9pm watershed - and viewers rushed to Ofcom. That was the end of sex on Love Island as we knew it and from then on, execs took the decision to instead show a shaking bedside lamp or tangled pair of feet. And in recent years the Instagram career-focussed cast and media trained Islanders have abstained entirely. Abi Moores told The Sun that no one hooked up in the 2023 series until the penultimate night, when the cast are allowed to spend a night away from the cameras. 6 Dejon and Meg have also locked lips 6 Helena has a three way kiss with Conor and Harry Only TV personality Joey Essex and his girl Jessy Potts succumbed last summer - and the only clue was a wobbling champagne bucket, as they cemented their union, artfully off shot. But this lot don't seem to be as PR-focussed. Last night's episode, the third of this series, presented a lapdance, finger sucking, a string of snogs and even a three-way smooch. Tommy and Megan, Dejon and Meg, Shakira and Blu and throuple Helena, Harry and Conor have all locked lips. And the ep teased Helena and Harry's saucy sleepover, with them sharing an afternoon kiss on the Hideaway's swing and joking they would 'wait five minutes after everyone's gone to sleep then sneak in overnight.' Frankly, it's the green shoots of recovery the long-running series needs. The launch drew an audience of 1.4 million across all devices, which ITV proudly reported was ITV2's biggest show this year. But it represented a drop on last year's 1.6 million and was a far cry from its heyday when 6 million tuned in. As the series celebrates its tenth anniversary, there's still some love left for the format - all 11 series have been streamed a whopping 2billion times to date on ITVX. This year's up-for-it cast could prove to be the Viagra the series needs. 6 Harry and Helena were in the Hideaway boudoir just 56 hours after meeting 6 Love Island's Shakira and Blu sharing a kiss The dating show genre has upped its game in recent years, with Rylan Clark's Dating Naked asking its cast to find love entirely in the nude. And 12 innocents even explored popping their cherries on Channel 4's Virgin Island. But will Helena and Harry end up regretting their private night? Zara Holland, now 29, crown for being Love Island's most talked-about bonker after her beauty pageant scandal in 2016. After the series, she said: 'I regret massively having sex on the show. 'If I could turn back the clock, I would. 'I know I didn't do anything illegal, I was twenty at the time, there's nothing to be ashamed of but yes, you know, it was the biggest regret.' Montana Brown's relationship with Alex Beattie only lasted a couple of weeks when they left the villa. And Montana, now 29 and a mum of two, came to look back on their hour-long sex sessions during the 2017 series with regret. She said: 'In hindsight, having sex on TV wasn't the best idea. My advice to the new hopefuls is not to do it. 'If I could have done it differently, I wouldn't have had sex. 'It's all everyone wants to speak about now.' While some regret having sex on TV just once, Kem Cetinay's remorse comes from the fact he had so much. The 2017 series winner, now 29, spoke about his amorous stay in the villa with Amber Davies. He said: 'Maybe I shouldn't have had as much sex as I did – maybe once or twice would have been enough. 'Now I've got a business and I've got staff, and if new recruits search for me, some of the first articles that come up will be about me having sex on TV.' There's plenty of Islanders who still love the fact they for lusty on screen. It's as if people wanted me to be ashamed, but I'm not going to be. Megan Barton-Hanson Jess Shears, now 32, romped with Dom Lever on 2017's series and she reckons hooking up in the villa helped cement their relationship. They are now married with two children. She said: 'I don't regret having sex on TV as such, but it's a bit strange that the whole nation knows about it. 'No one normally knows about your sexual relations but then at the end of the day if that worked for Dom and I, I'm glad that we did because I'm still with him now.' Kady McDermott, now 29, also didn't regret her on-screen sex with boyfriend Scott Thomas in the 2016 series. The couple even stayed together for 18 months after leaving the villa. She said: 'I personally don't regret having sex because it was with someone I was actually with and loved.' And Megan Barton-Hanson is another who has vocally supported pursuing a physical connection on the show after hooking up with Wes Nelson in 2018. She said: 'There is still so much stigma around women even saying they enjoy sex, let alone doing it on national TV. 'When Wes and I were interviewed afterwards, I would always be asked if I regretted having sex on TV and if my parents were embarrassed. They didn't ask Wes. 'It's as if people wanted me to be ashamed, but I'm not going to be.' *Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.

Dakota Johnson had bizarre asparagus murder dream about Glastonbury headliner
Dakota Johnson has confessed she had a really bizarre dream about one particular frontman involving asparagus and murder. She revealed a Glastonbury headliner had recently haunted her dreams while on Amy Poehler's Good Hang podcast. Surprisingly, it wasn't her (reportedly ex) boyfriend and five time Pyramid Stage pro Chris Martin — instead it was a veggie-morphing nightmare about Matty Healy. 'I actually had a dream the other night,' the Madame Web star laughed. 'Matty Healy from The 1975 was in my dream and he was murdering people, and he was Matty Healy as himself.' We're not sure why the son of Denise Welch was on a killing spree, or who exactly he was enacting his fatal revenge on. Dakota, 35, revealed this wasn't even the weirdest part of the dream as the Somebody Else singer had a really handy trick for avoiding capture. 'When the people were looking for him—they were cops maybe, he would turn into a piece of asparagus.' To this, Amy burst out laughing and joked 'so people just run past him?' prompting a fine piece of acting from Dakota as she pretended to be an asparagus. Well, that's certainly one stage antic we've not seen from him so far but you never know when it comes to Matty, 36. The 1975 frontman — who famously dated Taylor Swift in 2023 — wasn't the only one becoming one of your five-a-day in Dakota's mind. 'I saw these two poles and a bed and I was like, 'Matty?'' the Fifty Shades of Grey icon said. 'The sheets came down and it was him as an asparagus and Angelina Jolie as an asparagus. 'They were getting married, and they left in a helicopter together as asparagai. [sic]' Congratulations are in order then it seems for these asparagus-ified celebrities. 'That is such a weird dream,' responded Amy. 'You might be getting too much sleep.' Apparently Chris, 48, was incredibly supportive of this strange vegetable superpower and said the whole thing would make a good film plot. The couple, who had been together for nearly eight years, have gone their separate ways as reported by an insider to People Magazine. This mirrors intense speculation that they had broken up last year, but they swiftly squashed the rumors — neither have spoken about this split so far. Despite this, the Yellow hitmaker gave Dakota a shout out at his June 1 show in California, telling the crowd to 'Be kind to yourself, be kind to each other'. He then added 'Don't forget to see Materialists!' which is the name of Dakota's upcoming film. More Trending Coldplay won't be taking to the Pyramid Stage this year at Glastonbury… unless they're Patchwork or another TBA (now there's a thought). However, The 1975 are set to headline on Friday night and while he's not going around turning into a big green vegetable, Matty's problematic behaviour has raised some eyebrows. Here's hoping Worthy Farm goes off without any controversial remarks from the About You singer — and without any asparagus. Got a story?
