Emily Blunt Has Returned to Red Hair for The Devil Wears Prada 2
Even more memorable than Blunt's outfits in the original Devil Wears Prada film was, arguably, her hair. The intense shade of auburn—just a smidge warmer than burgundy—worked so well for her smoldering-just-beneath-the-surface attitude. And at the time, Blunt had actually dyed her hair for the role, as evidenced in photos taken of her in the year leading up to the film's 2006 release.
But while we can't know for sure if Blunt has dyed her hair again or if she's opted for a very good wig, we have confirmation that Emily is still committed to that cranberry color.
On Tuesday, July 29, Blunt was spotted with Hathaway, Streep, and Stanley Tucci (yay!) while filming The Devil Wears Prada 2 near Hudson Yards in New York City, and while she was smiling more than Emily has been known to, her character was immediately recognizable. She wore a corsetted, pinstriped set over a crisp, white shirt, carrying an oversized bag and oval sunglasses—all Dior. And the black and white served as a perfect contrast to her vivid red, center-parted lob.
Although her hair is still very Emily, it has been completely updated to feel very much 20-year-later: less 'done,' more natural, but still totally editorial. And we can't wait to see this color in motion on the big screen.

Fox News' host Greg Gutfeld to appear on Jimmy Fallon next week
Fox News late night host Greg Gutfeld will be a guest on Jimmy Fallon's "Tonight Show" next week, marking the libertarian-leaning on-air persona's first appearance on a traditional network late-night talk show. His debut guest appearance is scheduled for the Thursday, August 7 episode, NBC spokesperson Eve Kenny confirmed. Gutfeld is the host of Fox News' late-night "Gutfeld!" which debuted in April 2021 and has found success, averaging 3.29 million viewers, according to Late Nighter. The comedian and political commentator has long criticized late-night hosts like Seth Meyers and Jimmy Kimmel. But he expressed a soft spot for Fallon during a Thursday, July 31 episode of the Fox News conservative cable hit "The Five." "I'm psyched about it because Fallon comes across as a great guy, nice guy," Gutfeld told his co-hosts. "Also me going on his show shows him that he's not worried about upsetting his peers." He then recalled President Donald Trump's guest appearance on the "Tonight Show" ahead of the 2016 election, in which Fallon was scrutinized for "humanizing Trump" after tousling his hair for a comedic bit. "But it didn't come from anybody but the people on the left who wanted to teach all entertainers a lesson that if you dare show that Trump is a human, then you're toast," he added. "And so it's kind of nice that he's taken this risk." Fallon is among Trump's late-night foes Though its unclear what Fallon and Gutfeld will discuss during the episode, the talk show crossover comes after Trump's public squabble with several late night hosts following CBS' cancellation of the "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert." Trump celebrated the cancelation on Truth Social July 18 writing "I absolutely love that Colbert' got fired. His talent was even less than his ratings." Colbert addressed the post in his July 21 episode monologue saying: "How dare you, sir? Would an untalented man be able to compose the following satirical witticism? Go (expletive) yourself." The president later made a jab at Kimmel, insinuating that his show would be the next to end before taking aim at Fallon. "The word is, and it's a strong word at that, Jimmy Kimmel is NEXT to go in the untalented Late Night Sweepstakes and, shortly thereafter, (Jimmy) Fallon will be gone," Trump wrote on a July 22 Truth Social post. Fallon participated in the beef by zeroing in on Trump's former relationship with deceased convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein following reports that Attorney General Pam Bondi had reportedly told the president that he was named multiple times in the government's files. "Well, guys, the big story continues to be President Trump's handling of the Epstein files, and now newly uncovered footage shows that Jeffrey Epstein attended Trump's second wedding in 1993," Fallon said. Minneapolis hosts first Big Honking Truck Parade as part of effort to bring more people downtown
If you were in downtown Minneapolis on Thursday, you likely heard honks and horns filling the streets. It was all a part of the city's first Big Honking Truck Parade. The family-friendly event on Nicollet Mall aimed to bring people to downtown. "The whole point was to figure out how to get kids and families downtown for a family-friendly experience," said Lisa Goodman, who's the director of strategic initiatives for the City of Minneapolis. It's part of their Downtown Action Plan, in the works since October 2024. "It's no longer a place where people come into work at 8 a.m. and leave at 5 p.m. It's a place for celebration, entertainment," said Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey. The plan is working to create a vibrant, 24-hour downtown focusing on three areas: Tiffany Calderon was a vendor at Thursday's parade and told WCCO she feels invested in. "I think for small businesses. We're always looking for an opportunity, and for the city to extend the invitation was awesome," she said. The city says they can expect more of those to come. "It's not all on government, it's not all on big businesses, it's all of us together," Goodman said. An iconic video game adaptation is an underrated HBO Max movie to watch (August 1-3)
One of the surprise hits of the year, Final Destination Bloodlines, begins streaming on HBO Max this weekend. The sixth Final Destination might be the best installment since the original. Critics and fans liked it on its way to becoming the highest-grossing entry in the franchise with a gross of $285 million. Aside from Bloodlines, HBO Max has several underrated movies available on the service, including The Meg, a ridiculously fun shark attack movie with one of our best action stars. Check out our picks below. Death of a Unicorn (2025) Death of a Unicorn is a satirical takedown of capitalism and the class system, with a creature-feature at the center of the conflict. On a trip to his wealthy boss's estate, Elliot Kintner (Paul Rudd) and his teenage daughter, Ridley (Jenna Ortega), accidentally run over and kill a unicorn. Instead of leaving it, the duo hides the unicorn in their trunk and continues on with their journey. Recommended Videos While at the mansion, the group discovers that the unicorn has magical healing powers. When Elliot's boss, Odell Leopold (Richard E. Grant), ingests some of the unicorn's horn, his cancer disappears. The greedy Leopolds now plan to exploit the unicorn for its powers and make a fortune. What they don't realize is that more unicorns are on their way to the property, and they're not friendly. Prepare for some brutal kill scenes. Stream Death of a Unicorn on HBO Max. The Meg (2018) There are sharks, and then there's the Meg. Who better to face off against a giant prehistoric shark than Jason Statham? In The Meg, rescue diver Jonas Taylor (Statham) is recruited out of his self-imposed exile to rescue his ex-wife and her crew at the bottom of the Mariana Trench. While down in the trench, Jonas and Co. come face-to-face with a megalodon, an enormous shark that was previously believed to be extinct. When the Meg escapes to the surface, it spells trouble for humanity. It's man versus beast in this guilty-pleasure action movie. The Meg is not Jaws, but that doesn't mean you can't have fun watching Statham slay a shark. Stream The Meg on HBO Max. Mortal Kombat (2021) To countless millennials, Mortal Kombat holds a special place in their hearts. Seeing the arcade game come to life in Paul W. S. Anderson's 1995 adaptation was life-changing to young children and teenagers. The 2021 reboot might not have had the same effect on video game lovers, but it's a lot of fun and admirably mirrors the source material. MMA fighter Cole Young (Lewis Tan) is recruited to join the Earthrealm's fight against the Outworld. Cole trains with many of the game's most recognizable characters, including Sonya Blade (Jessica McNamee), Liu Kang (Ludi Lin), and Kung Lao (Max Huang). Mortal Kombat is rough around the edges, but the fight sequences and production design make for an entertaining watch. Stream Mortal Kombat on HBO Max.
