Simhavahini temple committee to host Bonalu festival in Delhi
On Monday, a delegation comprising Temple Committee Convener G Aravind Kumar Goud, former Chairman K Venkatesh, Cultural Secretary A Vinod Kumar, Publicity Secretary S Seshunarayana, Gaddam Ravi, and others, met with the ministers. They cordially welcomed State Transport and BC Welfare Minister and Hyderabad District In charge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar at the Banjara Hills Ministers' Quarters.
The delegation stated that Bonalu festivals have been grandly celebrated at Telangana Bhavan in Delhi for the past ten years, with the aim of promoting Telangana culture and traditions among the people of the country. They requested the temple committee and the government to ensure all arrangements are made to organise the Bonalu festival on a grand scale this year.

CM Revanth extends Bonalu greetings
Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has extended his warm greetings to the people of Telangana on the occasion of the Bonalu festival, which commenced from today and is celebrated annually with great fervour and gaiety. The Chief Minister noted that the festive atmosphere will officially begin with the Bonalu festival in the Ashada month. He expressed his hope that everyone would celebrate this festival, a profound symbol of Telangana's culture and traditions, with utmost devotion. The first Bonam of the Ashada month is being offered to Jagadambika Yellamma, who originated from the historic Golconda, signifying the vibrant buzz the local festival brings to the twin cities. On this auspicious occasion, the Chief Minister wished for the people to experience happiness, peace, and good health. He also expressed his hope that the state would receive bountiful rains and abundant crops, leading to progress in all fields with the blessings of the Goddess. CM Revanth Reddy stated that the state government has made special arrangements for organising the Bonalu festival in the twin cities, having already released Rs 20 crore to provide facilities for devotees. The Chief Minister instructed police officers to ensure that devotees do not face any difficulties and to implement strict security measures to prevent any untoward incidents. Officials from all departments have been directed to work in close coordination.

Devotees carrying are more important than VIPs: Ponnam Prabhakar on Bonalu
Hyderabad in-charge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar held a review meeting with officials of various departments on the conduct of Bonalu — a festival that reverberates with the culture of Telangana — at Sri Ujjaini Mahakali Devasthanam in Secunderabad. Mr. Prabhakar said the festival has no political overtones as it was a public festival and it should be conducted devoid of politics. He said irrespective of the government arrangements, the participation and support of locals would make it a smooth affair and wanted them to cooperate with the government. Mr. Prabhakar said the review was held for the conduct of the festival in 3,600 temples across the city though the major celebrations are organised at Golconda, Ujjain Mahakali, Balkampet and Lal Darwaza temples. He said the devotees carrying the bonam were more important to the temple authorities than the VIPs. Meanwhile, the Minister also announced the schedule of VIPs who would present silk clothes to the goddess at various temples on the days the festival is celebrated. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy would present the silk clothes at Sri Ujjaini Mahakali Temple, Secunderabad on July 13 followed by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka at Sri Simhavahini Mahankali Temple, Lal Darwaja on July 20; Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy at Sri Mahankali Sahitya Mahakaleshwara Swamy Temple, Nacharam on July 20, Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha at Sri Darbar Maisamma Temple Karwan on July 20; Roads & Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy at Bhagyalakshmi Temple, Charminar on July 20 and IT Minister D Sridhar Babu at Sri Akkanna Madanna Temple, Hari Bowli on July 20.
