Celebrities who broke Anna Wintour's ‘no phones' rule at 2025 Met Gala
Anna Wintour famously has a set of rules for the Met Gala. But on Monday, a host of celebrities broke the Vogue editor-in-chief's strict no-phones, no-photography and no-social media rules. Rapper Megan Thee Stallion and The Little Mermaid star Halle Bailey were among those who risked getting banned from future invite lists by taking selfies and posting them online while still inside the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The rules for the Met Gala clearly state that 'guests must abide by a no-phone (and, therefore, no social media) policy once they've entered the museum,' according to Vogue. While the magazine has not revealed the consequences for celebrities breaking the strict rule, it is rumoured they could risk getting banned from the glamorous event in the future.
But it appears the WAP hitmaker had no fears as she shared a video of herself inside the venue, alongside rapper Doechii and WNBA superstar Angel Reese. 'Hottie Cam in thee MET GALA,' the 30-year-old captioned the Instagram post. The star-studded clip shows the trio trying a variety of appetisers and discussing how they tasted. Tracee Ellis Ross, Doja Cat and Sha'Carri Richardson also made cameos in Megan's video.
In another video, which has since gone viral on X, Megan admits, 'We're not supposed to have our phone.' 'I snuck the phone inside,' she added. Several other celebrities, including Cynthia Erivo, Lupita Nyong'o, Angela Bassett, Serena Williams, Michael Kors, Ciara, and Tessa Thompson, also made appearances. Elsewhere, Tyla took a selfie with Shakira and shared it on her Instagram Story.
Meanwhile, Questlove took a quick selfie with Met Gala 2025 co-chairs Lewis Hamilton and Colman Domingo inside the bathroom, according to Page Six. They were also joined by Ellis Ross, Evan Ross, Erivo, Tramell Tillman, Quinta Brunson, and Sarah Snook for the photo. Bailey also whipped out her phone at the venue to take a group selfie with Sydney Sweeney and Blackpink singer Lisa.

Combs' former girlfriend testifies under pseudonym in sex trafficking trial Bad Boy Records founder accused of coercing women into 'Freak Offs' Defense says women participated consensually in performances NEW YORK, June 9 (Reuters) - One of Sean "Diddy" Combs' former girlfriends testified on Monday in the hip-hop mogul's sex trafficking trial that she told him in text messages that she felt mistreated in their relationship and asked to stop taking part in sexual performances with other men. "I'm not a porn star. I'm not an animal," the woman, testifying under the pseudonym Jane to protect her privacy, wrote Combs on October 16, 2023, according to a text message she read aloud in court. "It's loveless for me and nothing satisfies you and you always push me to do more and more." The messages could bolster prosecutors' contention that Combs, 55, for two decades coerced women to take part in the sexual performances, sometimes known as "Freak Offs," against their will. Combs is charged with using physical force and threatening to cut off financial support to get women to take part in the drug-fueled, sometimes days-long performances in hotel rooms while he watched. Combs, the founder of Bad Boy Records, has pleaded not guilty to charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. His lawyers have acknowledged that Combs was occasionally abusive in domestic relationships, but say the women who took part in Freak Offs did so consensually. Jane, the third alleged sex abuse victim of Combs to testify at his trial in Manhattan federal court, told jurors last week that she was "head over heels" for Combs at the outset of their relationship, which lasted from 2021 through 2024. She testified that most of the time they spent together involved sex performances with male escorts in hotel rooms, even though she wanted to go on dates with just Combs. She said Combs - whose net worth Forbes estimated at above $1 billion in 2022 - threatened to stop paying her rent when she said she wanted to stop having sex with other men. Combs' defense lawyers are due to cross-examine Jane later this week. The trial is in its fifth week. Combs could face life in prison if convicted on all counts. 'Anything goes': Yoshitomo Nara on his creative process as London exhibition opens
LONDON, - Artworks by Yoshitomo Nara go on display in London this week in what organisers say is the largest European retrospective of the Japanese artist. The show, running at the Hayward Gallery by the River Thames, features more than 150 works - drawings, paintings, sculptures, ceramics and installations - nodding to the longtime influences of Nara's works including music, nature, the importance of home and the peace movement. "This is about 40 years' worth of my work," Nara told Reuters at a press preview on Monday. "When I look at my work I don't think what I'm trying to say has actually changed in that time. Whatever period I look at reflects a part of myself, which is why this exhibition is not done chronologically." Nara, 65, is best known for his portraits of child-like characters with big gazing eyes. "I think all the pictures I've created are like my reflections," he said when asked about them. On display are plenty of those kinds of paintings and drawings as well as sculptures. "Anything goes," says Nara, who was born in Aomori Prefecture in northern Japan and lived in Germany early in his career before moving back home, said of his creative process. "I don't think about what I'm doing, but when I've done something good I can feel the reason behind it almost like a kind of hindsight." The show is an expanded version of a touring exhibition previously put on at the Guggenheim in Bilbao and Museum Frieder Burda in Baden-Baden. "What's quite interesting, I think, for audiences in London and in Europe overall ... we don't actually get to see Nara's work in person that often," exhibition curator Yung Ma said. "We've all seen his paintings and drawings on our I think all these kind of images, they don't do the works justice. So it's actually quite important to come and see because you can actually then understand ... he's a really good you can actually really see the texture of the works and the colours and the layering of the paint." The exhibition runs from June 10 to August 31.
