Promoted Brickfield now set their sights on league title
Gareth Wilson's side held their nerve to seal a 3-0 home win over Dolgellau with captain Kiran Russell, Dom Doherty and Jay Richardson getting the goals.
Llanuwchllyn finished in third spot after smashing Radnor Valley, who head to Brickfield next Saturday, 7-0.
Meilir Williams - the league's top scorer - took his tally to 38 with a treble and also on the scoresheet were Ilan Hughes, Tomos Roberts, Dan Dascalu and Sam Evans.
The final game in the North West League saw Corwen go down 2-1 at Trearddur Bay. Sam Henry scored for Corwen but Morgan Rowlands hit a last minute winner for fourth-placed Bay.
FC Queen's Park made sure of third place in the North East Wales League's Premier Division as Mike Latham scored the only goal against Hawarden Rangers.
In Group B of the Reserves Division, Greenfield's title bid suffered a blow in a 2-1 defeat at Lex for whom Cameron Thomas and George Baxter scored. Ethan Evans hit back for Greenfield but was later sent off, as was team-mate Dan Hughes.
Leaders Connah's Quay Town enjoyed a 7-2 win at Johnstown where Jon Tear-Edmonds (4), Jake Williams, Scott Gibbons and Jack Collins did the damage. Rob Cooper and Dewi Reeves replied.
Gruffydd Rawlinson, Kai Wright and Adam Roberts scored for FC Queen's Park in a 3-3 draw against Brymbo for whom Evan Davies (2) and Tom Potts replied.
Paul Jones hit a hat-trick as Penyffordd Lions triumphed 4-2 at Coedpoeth United while Group A runners-up Rhos Aelwyd finished off with a 4-3 win at Corwen, Ryan Jenkins, Lee Hanmer, Jake Jones and Jayden Sheil getting the goals.

Joe Pryce's side have been promoted to the West of Scotland Premier Division and he insists they can make an impact Rutherglen Glencairn co-boss Joe Pryce says his side aren't just going to make up the numbers in the West of Scotland Premier Division. The Glens co-boss says players don't want to operate with 10 men behind the ball and can showcase their talents in the top flight. He said: 'It's the Premier Division and we're going in against teams like Johnstone Burgh, who won the Scottish Cup on Sunday, Auchinleck, Cumnock, Pollok – the big hitters just keep coming and first and foremost we've got to make sure we can compete. 'But we want to do more than compete, we want to go in and play in the Premier Division and not just make up the numbers. 'We don't just want to go and have 10 men behind the ball, kicking it the way we're facing, footballers don't want to play that way, they want to showcase their talents. 'We won't build that way, we're going to go in and play the way we want. We know we're going to have to defend, and properly, but we still want to go up and play. We'll be a success, or we'll fail, but we'll do it our way.' Pryce has started looking ahead to next season and is on the verge of signing three defenders, though won't name them at this stage. However, Roan Fitzpatrick, Jack McIlveen and Allan Woodhouse have departed the club. Pryce said: We've spoken to quite a few, but it's that difficult part where players are just leaving clubs, want to see what else is there for them. 'We've been concentrating on our own players, making sure the ones we want to stay are tied up, but we have certainly been active in speaking to players. 'We know our targets, we know what we're looking for, and we're just waiting on players getting back to us. 'We've managed to get two centre-backs tied up at the minute, ready for next season, and we're speaking to another one. 'We lost Roan and Woody out the midfield, who are moving on, and Jack McIlveen has moved on to St Roch's as well. 'We were disappointed to lose those three, because we wanted to take them with us, but they've made their choice, that's up to them and we wish them all the best. They were a big part of what we achieved this year.' Pryce added: 'There are a couple of players that we've still to speak to, in terms of our own group, who won't be here next season, but it's quite slow and difficult. 'The financial landscape of the Premier League is way above First Division, so that's something we're adjusting to. But we are where we are, we're certainly not going to put the club in any trouble, trying to pay wages that we can't afford. 'We see other what clubs have done, and the perilous state they find themselves in, but that won't happen at Glencairn.'

Belief is key to Derry City maintaining good away record against Bohemians, says Tiernan Lynch
The Candystripes are eight points behind the League leaders following last week's 2-1 loss at the Brandywell, but they still have a game in hand. Friday's encounter with Bohemians marks the halfway point of the season and is at a ground that has provided many magical memories for City fans over the years. Derry have won six and lost just one of their last nine visits, including two victories there last season, and Lynch is hoping his players can create even more special memories on Friday. 'That's got to be our mentality,' he said 'As I keep telling the players, we have to go into every game believing that we can win it. That's where we're at. "That doesn't mean it's going to be easy in any way, shape or form. There's no doubt that it's going to be extremely difficult going there, but it's a battle that we're well up for and hopefully we can get the win.' Meanwhile, Lynch doesn't believe there will be a repeat of the scenes at the Brandywell earlier this season when both he and Bohs manager Alan Reynolds were sent off. Lynch's home debut lasted barely 10 minutes back in February when referee Marc Lynch sent both bosses to the stand following a fracas on the sidelines. It was the first of two red cards the City boss has received in the first few months of his tenure, having also been dismissed at Galway United in April. 'It's just about the game on Friday night,' he insisted. 'What happened in the first game was that emotions got high and that happens in football. It's water under the bridge now as far as I'm concerned and it's a matter of moving on and Friday night is a different game. 'Hopefully we both stay in our technical areas and we both get through the game and there's no sending offs and it's an enjoyable game of football that, ideally, we can come out the right end of.' With City right in the mix near the top of the Premier Division and the summer transfer window approaching quickly, Lynch believes it adds to the excitement for the club's supporters. 'I know I can speak on behalf of all the staff when I say that we're loving every minute of it,' he said. 'It's no secret that we do want to strengthen and we do want to bring players into the team. 'That's also an exciting time, trying to find the right players now that are not only good enough to play for this football club, but have the character to play for this football club, which is also hugely important for us, so hopefully the future is bright.'

Holy cow! Pato O'Ward finally milks a cow before Indy 500, hoping to break his streak of heartbreak
Pato O'Ward learned this week that it behooves Indianapolis 500 drivers to take part in the rookie tradition of milking a cow if they ever want to drink the stuff in victory lane upon winning 'The Greatest Spectacle in Racing.' Problem is that O'Ward never got that opportunity — until Friday. One day after lamenting that his Indy 500 debut occurred amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Indiana Dairy Association and his Arrow McLaren team came through for him. The folks at Silverstone Farms in nearby Greenfield, Indiana, loaded up a cow named Rihanna and trucked her to the track on Friday, where she was waiting for O'Ward at the crack of dawn. O'Ward, one of the most charismatic and popular drivers in the paddock, was udderly amazed. 'Woke up for some morning milking, and it was a really cool experience,' he said, flashing a big smile. 'Very warm. You know, gotta warm her up. Yeah, she was fabulous. Did you see a video at least? You'll see. First try.' Yep, first tug and there came the stream of milk. Perhaps that's a good omen as O'Ward chases his first Indy 500 win. He has finished second twice in the most important race of the season, and has talked candidly about how Indianapolis Motor Speedway has repeatedly broken his heart. Maybe the fact that he hadn't milked the cow was the karma keeping him from victory lane. The high-steaks effort to get a cow to the speedway before Sunday's race came after O'Ward sat for a press conference Thursday with Robert Shwartzman, who earned the pole as an Indy 500 rookie. Shwarzman dutifully took part in the traditional milking earlier in the week, and as he explained: "The woman, she came to me and said, 'The people who didn't milk the cow, they never won the Indy 500,' and they were like (did not finish). It's bad luck.' Shwartzman pointed out that Alexander Rossi milked the cow when he won as a rookie in 2016. 'You have to milk the cow,' Shwartzman said, describing his personal experience with a 'very calm, cute' cow named Indy. To which O'Ward declared: 'I'm going find a cow, and I'm going to milk it tonight." 'We know some farmers who know some cows who can make that happen,' the Indiana Dairy Association responded on X. It only took them a day. ___
