Lava Agni 4 to launch in India soon; Key specifications and pricing tipped online

Mint16-07-2025
Lava is preparing to introduce a new smartphone, the Agni 4, in India. This model is expected to follow the Lava Agni 3, which launched in October 2024. Ahead of the official release, details about the Agni 4's design, specifications, and pricing have been surfacing online. Here's what to expect.
The Lava Agni 4 is likely to come with the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor, an upgrade from the Dimensity 7300X chip used in the Agni 3. Reports suggest the Agni 4 will have a 6.78-inch full-HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device may include dual 50MP rear cameras arranged horizontally in a pill-shaped camera module with an LED flash between the lenses. This setup contrasts with the triple rear camera system found on the Lava Agni 3.
On the other hand, a leaked render shared by tipster Yogesh Brar, suggests that the Lava Agni 4 will feature a metal frame and a white back panel. Unlike the Agni 3's curved edges, the new model might have flat edges. The power and volume buttons could be located on the right side. Notably, the mini AMOLED display on the back of the Agni 3 is missing in the new design, which marks a shift in the device's features.
Furthermore, the device is expected to include UFS 4.0 storage to give users a faster data transfer. It may also pack a large 7,000mAh battery, which could offer extended usage without frequent charging.
According to a 91Mobiles report, the Agni 4 will retail in India for around Rs. 25,000. This price is higher than the starting price of the Lava Agni 3, which was Rs. 20,999 for the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The 256GB Agni 3 variant with a charger was priced at Rs. 24,999. The increase in price is likely due to the upgraded processor and other new features.
However, Lava has not yet announced the official launch date, pricing, or availability details for the Agni 4. The company has also not confirmed the distribution channels for the upcoming smartphone. Consumers interested in the Lava Agni 4 will need to wait for an official statement from the company for detailed information.

Redditor Flies To Vietnam From India, Buys MacBook, Enjoys Vacation, Saves Rs 36,500

A Reddit user is being lauded for their smart financial planning, which helped them not only enjoy an 11-day trip to Vietnam but also purchase a MacBook at a lower price than in India. For years, Apple users in India have had to splurge extra money to buy MacBooks or iPhones due to a mixture of factors like high import fees, Goods and Services Tax (GST) and the premium pricing strategy. In the now viral post titled "I flew to Vietnam from India just to buy a MacBook", the user revealed that they had the idea to conduct this experiment, in the hope that they would be able to save some cash. "If you're planning to buy a MacBook or iPhone worth Rs 2 lakh+ in India trust me, it's worth making a short trip to Vietnam. You'll get the device cheaper and squeeze in a mini vacation," wrote the OP in the r/macoffer subreddit. The OP stated they booked the cheapest round-trip flight ticket and headed to Hanoi, where they worked remotely and also enjoyed touring the capital city. The user said they visited over 15 stores in nearby areas to buy the MacBook, whilst offering advice on what to look for when buying the laptop. "Always ask: "Do you provide VAT refund documents for the airport?" Some stores won't. They even helped me carefully open the MacBook to inspect it and resealed it for airport VAT refund smart move!" As per the OP, the MacBook was available for Rs 1.85 lakh in India with card offers but after receiving a VAT refund at the Vietnam airport, the same device cost them only Rs 1.48 lakh -- meaning a saving of Rs 36,500. "Net Savings on MacBook alone: Rs 36,500, So basically, add Rs 5K and you got yourself a brand-new MacBook and a vacation in Vietnam," wrote the user. "Final total I spent: MacBook + 11-day trip total: Rs 2,08,117 (before refund). After tax refund: Rs 1,97,000 approx. So if I deduct the cost of the MacBook alone, my 11-night Vietnam trip was just Rs 48K and that too while working!" See the viral post here: I flew to Vietnam from India just to buy a MacBook by u/Shuict in macoffer 'That's crazy' As the post went viral, garnering thousands of upvotes, the social media users appreciated the pointers provided by the OP, with many planning to embark upon similar trips. "Insightful. This is the kind of posts I am using Reddit for. Planning to buy the upcoming iphone, with a trip to Dubai or Vietnam," said one user while another added: "Dude that's crazy. To the very details you provide, it sounds doable." A third commented: "I have done the same thing around 2 Months ago Went to Vietnam bought MacBook Pro M4, Apple TV & iPhone 16PM." A fourth said: "You could have gotten it even cheaper with a student ID. Just ask some of your relatives for a student ID and you get around 20k off, plus cheaper Apple Care and free AirPods."

More than 50 lakh farmers of the state are getting assistance of Rs 4,000 per year under the CM Kisan scheme. "It is a matter of happiness for us that the farmer brothers are getting assistance of Rs 10,000 per year by including PM Kisan and CM Kisan," he pointed out. He said the 20th instalment of PM Kisan Yojana was given for the period from April to July this year. The CM said that the country celebrates PM-Kisan Divas on August 2. The farmers should accelerate the process of diversification into other crops such as fish cultivation, animal husbandry and others, which will increase their yield and benefit them financially. "Your income in the agriculture sector will not only double but will increase manifold. The Prime Minister's target for this increase will be fulfilled," he said. Apart from this, the chief minister said that under the Samriddha Kisan Yojana , the state government is providing an additional input assistance of Rs 800 per quintal of paddy.
