Ranchi: BJP on Tuesday launched a massive stir titled 'Akrosh rally' across all 264 blocks in Jharkhand to corner Hemant Soren govt on various issues, including non-implementation of PESA rules, law and order among others.
JMM-led alliance parties dubbed it as theatrics from the saffron camp to stay afloat in the state after it faced rejection by the public in last year's assembly polls.
State BJP president Babulal Marandi, who led the protest in Giridih, said their protests would intensify.

Addressing workers in Giridh, he further said, "Today, there is corruption everywhere in the govt, right from the state capital to the grassroots and public are facing the brunt.
Anger against the govt is building among people."
"The state govt is against tribals, dalits, women, farmers, and youth. Middlemen are looting the state's mines and minerals, but the poor in the villages are not getting even sand to build their govt funded houses," he added.
Workers raised slogans against the govt, raking up issues of law and order, lack of jobs, land and liquor scams, among others. They submitted memorandums to deputy commissioners.

Reacting to BJP's stirs, JMM's central general secretary Vinod Kumar Pandey described it as a sign of saffron camp's desperation and frustration.
"General public isn't interested in such demonstrations. The BJP is troubled by the fact that under CM Hemant Soren's leadership, the govt is working for all sections, including the poor, farmers, youth, and women. Whatever plagues the state now were due to BJP's misrule since formation of Jharkhand in 2000 and things are coming on track now," he said.

Jagan slams Andhra govt for ‘failing to support students and unemployed youth'
'The lathi-charge on students in Narasaraopet exposed the government's violent, intolerant nature,' said Reddy in a post on X, referring to police dispersing the protesters in Narasaraopeta city in Palnadu district. Hailing the statewide 'Yuvatha Poru (youth struggle)' protest led by his party on Monday against the alleged unfulfillment of giving unemployment allowances, Reddy said that the government has failed to honour its promises such as jobs and education support. Amaravati, Jun 24 (PTI) YSRCP chief and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday lashed out at the ruling TDP-led coalition government, accusing it of betraying youth and students. The former CM questioned why students were allegedly assaulted for simply submitting representations and asking for the implementation of the Rs 3,000 monthly unemployment allowance as promised by the TDP during the election campaign. Reddy questioned how many of the 1.25 crore unemployed youth in the state received the allowance. The YSRCP supremo further alleged that Rs 6,400 crore in dues from the erstwhile YSRCP government schemes, Jagananna Vidya Deevena and Vasathi Deevena, remained unpaid, 'forcing students to abandon education and seek jobs.' He alleged that only Rs 750 crore was released from the Rs 4,200 crore due under the fee reimbursement scheme, while Rs 2,200 crore was pending under hostel assistance. He warned Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu against crushing dissent and declared that betrayal, lies and neglect would not go unpunished by the people. Full circle: Gujarat government revives third ring road plan for Ahmedabad
Gandhinagar: Fast-paced growth and the ambition to host the 2036 Olympics are pushing Ahmedabad to rethink its infrastructure. The state govt has, in principle, decided to revive the long-dormant third ring road project, proposing more than 100 TP schemes for speedy land acquisition. Officials say the corridor is essential to easing pressure on existing roads. The plan may be finalised by the end of next year. Originally outlined in a draft development plan 19 years ago, the third ring road had seen no movement in terms of land acquisition or groundwork, until now. The potential for hosting the Olympics, has prompted us to reprioritize this long-delayed plan," said a senior official. Officials said that the Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (Auda), Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), and the urban development department (UDD) are now jointly working to fast-track this initiative. Sources involved in the planning process said the new development plan will include the third ring road with possible route refinements. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Wittmund: Nur 700 Plätze. Experts have broadly agreed to proceed with the previously proposed alignment, with small modifications if necessary," a source said. Officials pointed out that the traditional method of road development through revenue rules can trigger legal complications and result in years of delay. Instead, the govt is opting for TP schemes, which are more structured and efficient. "This method ensures both quicker land acquisition and planned growth along the corridor," a source added. The proposed third ring road will likely be one of the largest town-planning undertakings ever seen in Gujarat. "By the end of 2025, the new draft development plan, along with a new action plan for the third ring land acquisition using over 100 TPs, is likely to be ready," sources added.
