Sally Dynevor's cancer experience has made her embrace life more.
The Coronation Street actress was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009 - when her character on the ITV1 soap Sally Webster also learnt she had the disease, who has since recovered - but after having a lumpectomy and six months of chemotherapy, she made a full recovery.
Sally's 63-year-old husband, actor Tim Dynevor, was diagnosed with cancer in 2023 and is now cancer-free, and now the pair are making sure to fill their life with adventure.
In an interview with the Daily Mirror newspaper, she said: "Going through something like that makes you want to embrace life all the more.
"We'd love to do more travelling. We're trying really hard to just do lots of lovely things while we can.
"You just don't know what's around the corner, do you? That's why we've decided we should do a couple of our bucket list things.

"We all put stuff off and think, 'It's too expensive, I'm not going to do that.'
"But we're in our 60s now and this is the time to be doing these things."
The 62-year-old star - who raised £100,000 for Prevent Breast Cancer after she trekked up to Mount Everest base camp, Nepal, in 2019 - feels "nervous" ahead of her mammoth challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, in October with her 28-year-old son Sam, in aid of the charity.
She said: "I am quite nervous about it. We're camping in the middle of nowhere and it's very cold when you get up to the top.
"But I'm determined and I'm definitely going to do my very best to get to the summit.
"I know people struggle with altitude sickness, but we've got a great guide and I think it's important to push yourself out of your comfort zone.
"Life is exciting when you challenge yourself. It's a big wide world out there."
Sally said her cancer diagnosis in 2009 affected Tim, Sam and her daughters, Phoebe, 30, and Hattie, 21.
The 2022 Dancing on Ice contestant admitted: "That's one of the worst things - the impact on families. It affects everyone in your circle."
And Sally hopes she and Tim will now have good health for the rest of their lives.
The star said: "You walk out and you just feel so grateful.
"While it's been awful, we look at it in a positive way and think, 'We've both been through it now, that's our blip.'

It comes after reports Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are set for new 'goldmine' offer - but could face issue. However, sources have claimed that bosses behind the production had "overestimated" the appeal for the show, which was due to take place in Manchester, Glasgow and London, had been left with no option but to cancel the entire tour. "The promoter massively over-estimated the appeal a live stage show would have to Hollyoaks' core audience," a source said. They went on to tell The Sun: "The ticket prices were incredibly high for a show that's popular with teenagers. "The decision was made to pull the tour rather than have a loss-making venture with empty theatres." But those who purchased tickets for the events will be offered refunds at their points of purchase. It's understood that the tour was organised by an external production team, with Hollyoaks and Channel 4 having very limited involvement in the planning. A spokesperson for the tour said in a statement: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, the planned theatre events with Maple Tree Entertainment featuring Hollyoaks cast are not going to take place as planned. "We are sad to disappoint those who had purchased tickets but they will be refunded via the venues." However, it's a stark contrast for ITV soap, Coronation Street, which is going ahead with a live theatre tour. Long standing cast members from the Manhcester based soap opera will appear at theatres across the nation to discuss their time on the show, in a production which has been billed An Audience with Coronation Street. Fans will pay more than £30 with the promoters promising "behind-the-scenes secrets, share hilarious stories, and relive heart-warming moments from the iconic ITV show". Hosted by This Morning's resident soap expert, Sharon Marshall, the show promises to be filled with laughter, nostalgia, and "more than a few jaw-dropping surprises!" Each event will feature five Coronation Street stars live on stage, including a surprise Corrie legend. The line-up will vary at each venue, with fan-favourite cast members including Andrew Whyment (Kirk Sutherland), Jack P Shepherd (David Platt), Samia Longchambon (Maria Connor), and Simon Gregson (Steve McDonald), with more names to be announced soon. Additionally, former show legends will also appear on stage. The tour will start in September and includes dates in London, Sheffield, Manchester and Glasgow. Although named 'of childhood', those affected by AHC do not grow out of it. But episodes may change and sometimes decrease in frequency with age. Coronation Street stalwart Sally Ann Matthews to leave soap
Coronation Street legend Sally Ann Matthews, known for playing Jenny Connor, has announced her departure from the long-running soap after decades on screen. Matthews, 54, stated on 1 August that it was time for her to pursue different acting roles.
