This new museum in Quezon City offers glimpse of post-war Philippines
Welcome to Bahay Modernismo, a heritage museum nestled within the Quezon City Memorial Circle. Built using original architectural fragments from the former Aquino family home on Times Street, this modern bungalow-style house offers an immersive glimpse into the design, lifestyle, and cultural spirit of post-war Philippines.
Curated by Gerald Lico, a professor of architecture at the UP Diliman (UPD) College of Architecture (CA), Bahay Modernismo welcomes guests with a nostalgic collection of household items and furniture from the 1950s to 1970s. A black-and-white television, vintage radio, typewriter, sewing machine, vinyl records, a phonograph, and even a few classic Liwayway magazines allow guests to travel back in time to post-war Philippines.
The heritage museum features six rooms: a kitchen, a home office, an entertainment room, and three bedrooms, each thoughtfully curated to reflect the design and charm of the 1950s era.
The museum also pays tribute to the golden age of Philippine cinema, featuring posters of classic films from the 1950s to the 1970s, along with photographs of iconic stars such as the late Gloria Romero, Nida Blanca, Nora Aunor, Lou Salvador, and other legends of Philippine showbiz.
The museum is open to the public for free from Tuesdays to Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. — LA, GMA Integrated News

Archie Comics goes Pinoy with Filipino-inspired cover featuring halo-halo
Archie and the gang just got a delightful Filipino twist! Archie Comics has debuted a special Philippine-exclusive cover of "Betty & Veronica" featuring the country's beloved dessert: halo-halo. The cover reimagines the franchise's 'three on a straw' moment where, instead of sharing a milkshake, Archie, Betty, and Veronica are seen enjoying a tall glass of halo-halo, with shaved ice, ube ice cream, and barquillos. 'We're incredibly proud to partner with Archie Comics to deliver something fun, unique, and a little mischievous with Medusa Doom's debut.' Fans will have the opportunity to acquire the exclusive variant in two limited editions: a trade dress version and a virgin variant, the latter showcasing Parent's artwork in full with a text-free layout. Paul Salas reacts over viral video of performance in Palawan
Paul Salas has addressed the viral video showing a fan falling on the floor during his performance in Palawan. On Facebook, Kapuso actor shared a fan-taken video showing him warmly engaging with the audience during a performance. In the clip, a female fan approached him for a photo, and after their sweet interaction, Paul unknowingly took her chair, thinking it was empty. Moments later, the fan attempted to sit back down—only to fall when the chair was no longer there. The video, which was uploaded by Shamel Ledesma Aguirre on Facebook, has now gone viral with 13 million views and over 200,000 reactions as of writing. Reacting to the viral video, Paul humorously acknowledged the chair mishap, saying "Hindi naman kasi sa akin ang upuan kuha ako ng kuha."
