On the Podcast: Givenchy's Sarah Burton Is Charting a New Path on Her Own Terms
Of seeing her designs in print, on this week's episode of the Run-Through, Burton tells Nicole Phelps, 'what I love is that you see things in a different light altogether somehow. You design them in one way and what's really amazing is when they're taken and portrayed in a completely different way, it sort of inspires you to do something new next time.'
After 10 months at the house, Burton discusses how she's building a new legacy for Givenchy. '[It's] sort of an anatomical way [of] thinking, ok, to build a house, you have to build a backbone—the spine, or the foundation; and to me it's always been about a silhouette,' she says. 'I really wanted to take all of the surface decoration away and work on a sort of modern silhouette for women today: the tailoring with a slightly dropped shoulder, the nipped-in waist. I thought if I can start with a foundation then it can grow from there.'
Listen to the episode below and you'll learn about why coming to Givenchy felt like a bit of a 'homecoming' for Burton. You won't want to miss her story about the 'ghost in the walls' of the atelier, either.

Jennifer Lopez's Wardrobe Malfunction Left Her Standing In Her Underwear, And It's Awkward
On Friday, Jennifer Lopez's Up All Night Tour stopped in Warsaw, Poland, where she performed in front of a reported crowd of over 70,000 people. Related: If you haven't seen the footage, it looked like a great night — except for one unfortunate moment when part of the outfit she was wearing became undone. Jennifer — who happened to be celebrating her 56th birthday that night — wore a sparkly gold bralette and a fringed miniskirt, accessorizing with matching full-sleeve gloves and sparkly gold heels. She was backstage, changing into the outfit, when a member of her team invited the band and the audience to join them in singing "Happy Birthday" to her. Related: Seemingly unprepared, but not wanting to miss the song, Jennifer rushed back onstage as a team member followed close behind, seemingly trying to fasten her skirt. "Thank you!" Jennifer told the crowd. "Thank you, Warsaw!" But as she stepped forward, the skirt slipped down, exposing her gold undergarments. Related: At first, she screamed, but then she decided to embrace it. "I'm out here in my underwear," Jennifer said, raising her hands and twirling for the crowd. Laughing, she added, "That's gonna be everywhere!" Jennifer Lopez / Via A team member attempted to help her fix the skirt, but at that point, there was no point, and Jennifer threw it into the audience. "I'm glad they reinforced that costume," she joked, "and I'm glad I had underwear on!" Watch the moment here: Viewers thought it was hilarious — and they also appreciated Jennifer's sense of humor about the situation. Taking to Reddit, one person wrote, "Now that's how a professional recovers 😂." Another said, "Lmao she knows she looks good either way. Thats power." Related: "Well that was smooth lol," commented another. "She looks great!" While someone else said, "I love that recovery lmao" In response to some speculation that it was "staged," one viewer suggested, "It was obviously two outfits in one, it just detached too early than expected. But she was also meant to be in the 'after' one at some point." "Yea, was gonna say it might've been intentional but then saw the giant mic pack behind her; ain't no way wardrobe would want that showing on stage. Good on them for handling it so smoothly," one more added. Either way, as Reddit user Character_Seaweed_99 said, "this is why you should always wear nice underwear." Ozzy Osbourne Announced His Upcoming Memoir ‘Last Rites' Less Than 2 Weeks Before His Death
Ozzy Osbourne had one more special project in the works before his death. Hachette Book Group announced on July 10 that Osbourne would be publishing his memoir, Last Rites. According to the book's synopsis, the rock star wrote about his time performing in the legendary heavy metal band Black Sabbath, his marriage to wife Sharon Osbourne, his multiple health battles and more. 'People say to me, if you could do it all again, knowing what you know now, would you change anything? I'm like, 'F*** no,' If I'd been clean and sober, I wouldn't be Ozzy. If I'd done normal, sensible things, I wouldn't be Ozzy,' the former rocker said in a press release at the time. 'Look, if it ends tomorrow, I can't complain. I've been all around the world. Seen a lot of things. I've done good … and I've done bad. But right now, I'm not ready to go anywhere.' Last Rites is scheduled to be released on October 7, 2025. Ozzy Osbourne Dead at 76 After Suffering Health Issues, Weeks After Final Performance News broke on Tuesday, July 22, that Ozzy died at the age of 76. 'It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,' the musician's family shared in a statement to Metro. 'He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.' Ozzy is survived by Sharon and their children Kelly Osbourne, Jack Osbourne and Aimee Osbourne, as well as kids Elliot, Louis and Jessica, who he shared with ex-wife Thelma Riley. A cause of death has yet to be revealed. Ozzy's death comes weeks after he took the stage one last time with Black Sabbath in Birmingham, England, on July 5. The performance marked Ozzy's official retirement while raising funds for Cure Parkinson's, Birmingham Children's Hospital and Acorns Children's Hospice. (Ozzy was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2020.) 'You wake up the next morning and find that something else has gone wrong. You begin to think this is never going to end,' the metal singer told The Guardian in a May profile, noting that his wife organized the benefit concert to 'give [him] a reason to get up in the morning.' Jack Osbourne Pays Tribute After Dad Ozzy Osbourne's Star-Studded Final Concert Following the concert, Kelly took to social media to express her gratitude for the full circle moment. You have no idea what it did for my dad,' Kelly said in an Instagram Story video. 'It was one of the most magical experiences of my entire life, and if I keep talking, I'm probably going to end up crying again. So, that's all I'll say for now. Thank you.' Days after her positive message, Kelly took to social media, slamming rumors that her father was close to death. 'This is the s*** I wake up to,' Kelly wrote alongside a screenshot of a message from a social media user critiquing her understanding of her dad's condition. 'Wtf is wrong with people?'

Surprise! Johnny Depp joins Alice Cooper for Ozzy Osbourne tribute
Alice Cooper and his surprise guest Johnny Depp have paid tribute to Ozzy Osbourne. Depp made an appearance with Cooper during the rocker's concert at London's O2 Arena on Friday, July 25. The "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor, 62, joined Cooper, 77, in honoring Osbourne by playing guitar during a performance of the classic Black Sabbath song "Paranoid," according to video from the show shared on social media and YouTube. Depp formed the rock group Hollywood Vampires with Cooper in 2012. Cooper wore an Osbourne shirt for the tribute performance, which came days after the Black Sabbath musician died on July 22 at age 76. According to a statement from Osbourne's family, he "was with his family and surrounded by love." Cooper previously paid tribute to the rock icon in an Instagram post, noting he heard the news minutes before going on stage and subsequently dedicated his July 22 performance in Wales to the musician. "Well, we all know that time is going to take us rockers, but when the giants fall, it's really hard to accept," Cooper shared. "Even though everybody saw it coming with Ozzy, it just took our breath away when it happened. So Ozzy and family − your records and your music and your legend and all that you brought − the humor to the rock business − will live on forever and we're gonna miss you, man." Cooper also said that Osbourne "earned immense respect among his peers and from fans around the world as an unmatched showman and cultural icon." "He was and will continue to be a rock n roll legend. Rock n Roll is a family and a fraternity," he added. "When we lose one of our own it bleeds. I wish I would have gotten to know my brother Ozzy better." Cooper spoke further about Osbourne on "The Scott Mills Breakfast Show," noting the two of them "really got along" and shared a desire to continue performing as long as they could. Osbourne died just weeks after he performed during a farewell show with Black Sabbath. "Ozzy was one of those guys that was a lifer," Cooper reflected. "There are certain guys that are lifers − the (Rolling) Stones, The Beatles − that are still doing it and doing it amazingly well. I'm going to do this until I can't do it, and I think Ozzy was the same thing." This article originally appeared on USA TODAY: Johnny Depp, Alice Cooper pay tribute to Ozzy Osbourne in concert
