Luis Suarez responds to Patrice Evra fight challenge as Man Utd legend gives update on MMA debut
PATRICE EVRA has revealed that Luis Suarez could still take up his offer to fight him after announcing his MMA debut.
Evra, 43, revealed last week that he would be making his mixed martial arts debut at PFL Europe Paris at the Accor Arena on 23 May.

The Manchester United icon later took to social media to call out former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez to take him on in the ring.
Evra and Suarez have a history dating back to their respective days in the Premier League, when the forward was found guilty of racially abusing the defender during a clash at Anfield in 2011.
And Suarez, who is still playing professionally with Lionel Messi at Inter Miami, hasn't ruled out settling the score with a fight, according to Evra himself.
Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, Evra revealed: "I was quite surprised.
"I don't know if it's true, because I'm always careful, but apparently his manager contacted the PFL. Maybe to come and watch my first fight.
"I would be surprised, because to be honest he is still playing football and this is completely different - he could get injured.
"But maybe it will happen, maybe not. Like I say, it's something I've asked. If it doesn't happen it's not a big deal."
Evra, who retired in 2019 after making over 700 career appearances, went into more detail on why he would want to fight Suarez.

He explained: "When the PFL asked me who I would like, I said Luis Suárez because I had a beef with him on the back in the day when I was captain of United and he played for Liverpool.
"He had some racist abuse. I don't call him a racist, it's just that they used some racist words, and I want to do this fight."
'Watching Arsenal is like watching Netflix… you always have to wait for the next season', says Man Utd legend
Adding: "I think the world wants to see that fight. So I am like, 'Please accept the offer'.
"I don't know if he would be the first, or the second, or the third fight. But I think the world deserves to see that fight".
Suarez was accused of using "insulting words" towards Evra including reference to the colour of the French international's skin in 2011.
The striker, now 38, was accused of using an offensive term seven times in around two minutes, while Evra had told him he would "punch him" after asking him to repeat what he had said.
Meanwhile, Suarez claimed he had used the word once and in a friendly way as is normal in Uruguayan culture, as opposed to the antagonistic way described by Evra.
The FA eventually slapped Suarez with an eight-game ban after a two-month investigation and six-day hearing into the incident.
After the ban was announced, Liverpool stars were spotted wearing training shirts with Suarez's name and picture on them during the warm-up in a display of support.
Liverpool decided not to appeal the verdict made against Suarez on January 2012, although they maintained the innocence of the forward.
When the pair met on the pitch again in 2012, Suarez refused to shake Evra's hand before a game at Old Trafford, with prompted an angry reaction from the French international.
At the end of the game as the players walked off the pitch, Evra went in front of Suarez to celebrate in his face.

Inter Milan make further contact with Man United about a permanent move for misfiring striker Rasmus Hojlund
Inter Milan have made further contact with Manchester United about a permanent move for striker Rasmus Hojlund. The 22-year-old is under contract with United until June 2028 but his future at Old Trafford appears uncertain. Hojlund cost United £64million plus a further £8m in potential add-ons when he arrived from Atalanta in August 2023. But he has struggled to live up to that price-tag, scoring just four goals in 32 Premier League appearances last season. United want a new striker this window and will listen to suitable offers for Hojlund. Meanwhile, the Red Devils are are continuing discussions with Brentford over an improved second bid in excess of £60m for Bryan Mbeumo. Inter, who were thrashed 5-0 by Paris Saint-Germain in last weekend's UEFA Champions League final, were the leading scorers in Serie A last season but lost out on the title to Napoli by a single point. Simone Inzaghi left Inter as manager shortly after the defeat by PSG. Inter are in the process of making Cristian Chivu their new head coach.

Antony ‘could be rescued from Man Utd hell by Erik ten Hag with Real Betis unable to afford permanent transfer'
ANONY could be saved from his Manchester United hell by the man who brought him to Old Trafford in the first place. According to reports, new Bayer Leverkusen boss Erik ten Hag is considering sining the Brazilian for Leverkusen this summer. 1 Ten Hag was in charge at United when Antony arrived for £86m in 2022. But the tricky winger's time in Manchester has been nothing short of a disaster, with Antony even admitting he went days without eating it got so bad. Antony was handed a loan lifeline by Real Betis for the second half of this season, excelling in Spain where he registered 14 goal contributions in 26 games as Betis secured a Europa League place next season. However, despite glowing reviews and an internal ambition to re-sign the 25-year-old, Betis are thought to be unable to afford Antony on a permanent deal. United are understood to prefer a permanent sale for Antony if an exit is sanctioned. According to Sky Sports, Bayer Leverkusen could offer a viable option for Antony to finally call a permenant end to his time at the Theatre of Dreams. The Bundesliga club are thought to have shortlisted Antony as one of a number of forwards they are keen on should Florian Wirtz leave for Liverpool this summer. Wirtz looks destined for a switch to the Premier League champions with Arne Slot and his team tabling club-record bids to convince the German to head to Anfield. Reports claim that Antony being reintegrated back into the fold under Ruben Amorim should not yet be ruled out either. However Antony made it clear how much he has struggled to adapt to life in the spotlight at one of the world's biggest clubs in United. Real Betis come up with new name for Antony as chant begs Man Utd loanee to stay In an emotional interview with TNT Sports Brazil, he revealed: "I wanted to do things [at Man Utd], but they didn't see to work out because I wasn't happy. "I didn't feel that desire to play football, and I needed to find myself and be happy again because playing football was always something I loved. 'I went through difficult times when I no longer felt that pleasure. I even always told my brother, I told him that I couldn't take it anymore. '[My brother] told me to hold on a little longer, that things were going to change. It even made me emotional, because they were very hard days for me. 'Only I know what it was like to be there at home, not having the strength to even play with my son, going days without eating, staying locked in my room. 'So, for me it was very complicated, but thank God, with the help of my family and mainly with the help of God, I managed to get ahead and today I am very happy here.' Man Utd have already announced the arrival of Matheus Cunha in a £62.5m swap from Wolves, while Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo appears to be next in line for a summer move to join Amorim's underachieving outfit.
