Dave Franco brought a 'great vibe' to The Studio, says Seth Rogen
Seth Rogen wrote 'The Studio' with Dave Franco "specifically" in mind for a role.
The 39-year-old actor plays a fictionalised version of himself in the TV comedy series, and Seth has revealed that he relished working with his long-time friend.
Seth, 43 - who co-created the show - told People: "Honestly, there were very few people that could have filled the roles that the people had filled because we really specifically were catering the stories to certain traits that celebrities have."
In the show, Dave's character attends a party in Las Vegas ahead of the studio's big Cinema Con presentation.
And Seth was convinced that Dave was perfect for the role.
He said: "With Dave, it's like, who do you believe would be in a Ron Howard movie? It's a pretty dramatic movie, who could do that? But also, we knew that he would come back and do this truly ridiculous, stupid thing later in the season."
Seth also revealed that Dave brought a great "vibe" to the show's set.
The Hollywood star - who previously worked with Dave on 'Superbad', the 2007 comedy film - said: "Dave is the best.
"Dave's first, I think, on-camera thing was 'Superbad'."
By contrast, James Franco - Dave's brother - previously confessed that his friendship with Seth is "over".
The 47-year-old actor enjoyed a hugely successful partnership with Seth for many years, creating movies such as 'Pineapple Express', 'This Is the End' and 'Sausage Party' together - but their friendship collapsed after James was accused of sexually inappropriate behaviour by a number of women.
James - who reached a $2 million sexual misconduct settlement in 2021 - told Variety: "I haven't talked to Seth. I love Seth, we had 20 great years together, but I guess it's over. And not for lack of trying. I've told him how much he's meant to me."
James has been shunned by Hollywood in recent years. However, the actor appreciates that he's still able to work in the entertainment business.
The actor - who has received treatment for sexual addiction - explained: "I'm so grateful to be working.
"I did go through a lawsuit, and during that lawsuit I wasn't working. But then COVID hit so everybody wasn't working. So, I don't know, it was all … I mean, we were all kind of in it. So it was sort of like, 'I don't know what I am.'
"But I did certainly use the time to, I hope, good purpose. And whatever had been going on with me before, I had to change my whole way of life."

Pamela Anderson feels more 'fearless' than ever
Pamela Anderson has never been more "fearless". The 57-year-old actress has enjoyed a renaissance in recent times after starring in the acclaimed movie The Last Showgirl and explained that she is throwing herself into all aspects of life at present. She told People: "I love being in the fight. I love living my life knowing that I can always do better. That just makes me feel alive. And to push myself to try new things. To sing and dance and act onstage, and make choices that are more compassionate when it comes to my beauty regimen." The Baywatch star – who has sons Brandon Thomas, 29, and Dylan Jagger, 27, with her former husband Tommy Lee – continued: "Being an entrepreneur and working with my kids has been so fulfilling and so wonderful. I've never been so at peace, but also inspired and fearless." Anderson admits she finds it "surreal" to be considered an icon after a rollercoaster career in showbusiness. She said: "I don't know how anybody could identify with the term. "But I bought my grandmother's farm, so to think that I was sitting here, probably where I'm sitting now, with my grandma having tea as a young girl, and to have had the whole life that I've had, it does feel surreal." Anderson is famous for her blonde locks and has considered going grey, but suggested that mother Carol's influence has prevented her from doing so. She said: "I think about that a lot. It's my mum saying, 'No, Pamela, not yet.' She's very specific when it comes to hair. Everything is about hair for her. "She was the one who always told me, 'If you're pretty, you're more powerful.' And I always rebelled against it." Pamela Anderson has never been more "fearless". Hugh Jackman, Deborra-Lee Furness divvy up real estate amid divorce, including $35 million NYC apartment
As tensions heat up in their divorce, Hugh Jackman and Deborra Lee-Furness have started splitting up their real estate assets. Furness, 69, reportedly paid $11.7 million (AU$18 million) to the company that the couple used to buy their glamorous New York City penthouse in 2022 for $21 million. The luxury apartment in Manhattan's Chelsea neighbourhood is now valued at around $23 million, according to People , meaning that Furness has bought Jackman, 56, out. Property records suggest that the Australian actress made the payment on May 25, two days before she officially filed for divorce after 27 years of marriage. The three-bedroom and 3.5-bathroom apartment sprawls over 5,000 square feet across two floors, with an additional 3,700 square feet of outdoor space. It's tucked near the Hudson River in a neighbourhood known for bold facades and even bolder celebrity residents. The riverfront haven is just one of many standouts in the former couple's enviable real estate collection, which includes properties in the US, UK and at home in Australia. It is believed that they still own together a waterfront apartment overlooking the iconic Bondi Beach, a second apartment in New York City's West Village and a Hamptons beach house. The news comes after the former couple were reportedly struggling earlier this year to divvy up their estimated $250 million fortune after it was revealed they didn't have a prenup. The pair eventually reached an agreement behind the scenes. 'A settlement was reached that Deborra is pleased with, which includes a handsome spousal support payment,' a source revealed to The Daily Mail . 'There was some back and forth regarding this financial agreement, but in the end, she got what she believed she deserved. Both are coming out of this financially secure.' It is believed their marriage began to unravel during COVID, which is around the same time Jackman struck up a friendship with Sutton Foster, his co-star on the hit Broadway revival of The Music Man. In a recent statement, Furness hinted that the Wolverine star committed an act of 'betrayal', fuelling rumours that her former husband cheated on her with Foster. Furness is now reportedly planning to publish a tell-all book, which will detail her side of the divorce. Jackman is yet to release a statement about the divorce, but is believed to be 'extremely disappointed' in Furness' allegations about 'betrayal'.
