He expressed these views while chairing a meeting at the Chief Minister Secretariat to review the performance of the "Safa Quetta Program". Comprehensive measures were decided for the beautification, cleanliness, drainage and elimination of encroachments of the provincial capital Quetta in the meeting.
It was decided in the meeting that an effective operation against encroachments would be launched across the city.
On the occasion, the chief minister also approved the appointment of magistrates to ensure strict implementation of municipal laws.
Briefing the meeting, Commissioner Quetta Hamza Shafqat said that all government lands, properties and properties under the control of encroachment mafias, the identification of the encroachments has been completed, and action has been initiated against them.
The chief minister ordered that the ongoing cleanliness campaign under the "Safa Quetta Program" would be expanded and be made more effective. He said that encroachments are causing difficulties for the citizens in their daily lives and the government would not intend to be lenient in this regard.
The CM directed the relevant institutions to solve the problems of cleanliness, drainage, and traffic on a permanent basis and to prioritize practical measures for the beautification of the city.

K-P announces Ramazan package
PESHAWAR: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government has announced a Ramazan relief package, providing Rs10,000 in cash assistance to 5,000 families in each provincial constituency. Additionally, a dedicated cell will be established in the Chief Minister Secretariat to regulate the prices of essential commodities and curb hoarding and profiteering. The announcement was made by Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur while chairing the 22nd Cabinet meeting on Friday. The meeting was attended by ministers, advisors, special assistants, additional chief secretaries, the senior member of the Board of Revenue, and administrative secretaries. The CM directed cabinet members to maintain close contact with the public at the grassroots level to prevent any exploitation during the holy month of Ramazan. He also instructed all MPAs to assist in compiling lists of deserving families eligible for the cash assistance program. Furthermore, the chief minister urged his cabinet members to visit all corners of the province, interact with the public, and incorporate their feedback into proposals for the Annual Development Program. The cabinet approved the revised PC-1/DCE'S for upgrading the IRNUM PET-CT/Cyclotron Project, enhancing infrastructure and diagnostic facilities for cancer treatment. Approval was granted for the extension of the 'D-Talk and Insulin for Life' project, supported by a $5 million foreign grant. This initiative provides free insulin and medicines to diabetic patients, with 85,789 registered beneficiaries across 22 districts through 26 insulin banks/centers. A proposal to convert the provincial government's MI-17 helicopter into an air ambulance was approved, with an allocated budget of Rs150 million. The Aviation Wing of the Administration Department will oversee modifications to meet ambulance requirements, with operations managed by Rescue 1122. The cabinet approved the exemption of humanitarian cargo by the World Food Program, facilitating international shipments through Torkham for transit trade with Afghanistan. The infrastructure development cess for transit trade with Afghanistan was reduced to one percent of the value of goods imported into the province.

Chief minister's 'Awami Agenda' reviewed
PESHAWAR: Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister, Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, chaired an important meeting at Chief Minister Secretariat to review progress on the implementation of the Chief Minister's 99-point Awami Agenda. Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Muhammad Abid Majeed, and other relevant officials attended the meeting. Concerned officials briefed the Chief Minister on the progress so far made with regard to implementation of 99 point agenda. It was informed that under the Chief Minister's open-door policy, all Deputy Commissioners have issued schedules for public meetings to ensure easy access of the general public to government offices and officials, and so far 429 Khulli Kachehris have been held across the province, including 27 for women, 17 for minority communities, 14 for farmers, 18 for differently-abled persons, and 11 for traders which were attended by the high ups of district administrations and heads of line departments. It was further informed that under special cleanliness campaign, 431 drives have been carried out in educational institutions, 843 public toilets, 590 canals, 1,066 roads, 287 recreational spots, and 298 bus stations have been cleaned across the province, adding that under the waste disposal efforts, garbage dumped on 7,267 vacant plots has been cleaned so far, 1,195 blocked drains have been opened, and 1,509 drains have been cleared, 439 sewerage lines have been cleaned, and 101 sewerage lines have been repaired. Officials informed the meeting that actions against illegal dumping sites have resulted in the clearance of 368 sites, while 226 designated dumping sites have been notified for waste disposal, and added that to facilitate the public, 4,359 trash bins have been installed at various points across the province. It was revealed that in terms of improving recreational facilities, 114 public parks have access to clean drinking water, and benches have been installed in 169 parks. Similarly, measures to enhance sports facilities have resulted in the provision of restrooms in 42 sports grounds and the reactivation of lights in 72 grounds. Moreover, over 4,000 advertisements boards and banners have been removed from poles, and 4,500 pieces of advertising material have been taken down from walls. As part of the water tank cleaning initiative, 11,697 water tanks have been cleaned, it was revealed, adding that construction material has been removed from 3,500 road sides and streets. To improve passenger facilities, 108 bus terminals have been inspected, resulting in the cleaning of 497 restrooms and 100 waiting rooms whereas, official fare lists have been placed at 93 bus terminals. The meeting was also informed that 78 per cent of public washrooms in the province have been cleaned, over 300 trash bins have been placed at 95 tourist spots.
