Brad Pitt's much-awaited racing drama F1 is already shifting gears in the right direction, with its first press screening earning enthusiastic reviews. Directed by Joseph Kosinski of Top Gun: Maverick fame, the film is being hailed as a high-octane crowd-pleaser with comparisons being drawn to Kosinski's earlier blockbuster.
After a 10-minute clip received a mixed response at Comic-Con, the full film has reportedly won critics over. Variety's Clayton Davis praised the film's technical excellence, specifically highlighting Claudio Miranda's cinematography and urging the Oscars to 'not do dirty with him again." Miranda, who also worked on Top Gun: Maverick, brings a similar visual polish to F1, making the film a visual treat on the racetrack.
Critics are lauding the film's gripping action, emotional depth, and star power. Jazz Tangcay wrote, 'It's Pearce, down the insideeeee" — WOW! @F1Movie is an action-packed, thrilling look at the world of F1 racing, with lots of grit. The sound, score, and cinematography are flawless. Damson Idris and Brad Pitt are great! Absolutely Obsessedddddd."
Tim Chan shared, 'Just got out of #F1TheMovie screening: film was more emotional than I had anticipated, Brad Pitt is hotter than ever, soundtrack (with Tate! Roddy! Rosé!) is perfect accompaniment to the race scenes." Nerdist's Maude Garrett called it 'so freaking good" and even joked she may have liked it more had she been an F1 fan.

Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and F1 legend Lewis Hamilton, F1 reflects real racing culture with Hollywood shine. During a press event, Kosinski said he was inspired by Netflix's Drive to Survive, especially its focus on underdog teams.

Muzammil Ibrahim claims even Shah Rukh Khan said he deserved best debut over Ranbir Kapoor: 'Nana Patekar said that I...'

'I think Ranbir had debuted that year with Saawariya, and Neil Nitin Mukesh had come with Johnny Gaddar. Nana Patekar said that I deserved all the awards, but would not get because Ranbir would win. Even I thought I deserved an award for Dhokha, I 100% deserved the best debut award. I feel I was better than Ranbir in Saawariya. I love Ranbir as an actor now, but if you compare him in Saawariya and me in Dhokha, I was better. Irrfan Khan had told Mahesh Bhatt that very few could have pulled off that part in Dhokha,' said Muzammil to Siddharth Kannan. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD He shared that he was not invited for the award shows and added, 'I felt that awards shows were supposed to be like a ballot, like we see in Oscars. But here everyone knows who is winning! Only Ranbir is sitting there, so he will win. It is pre-decided. I felt so bad when Shah Rukh Khan sir called my name and even said that he thought that I deserved the award more on stage. As outsiders, we cannot even complain about these. We are not even invited, how will you feel? I felt like crying, I felt so bad. I had so many expectations. I had suffered a lot while shooting the film, and still gave a brilliant performance. I am a big champion of outside talent, the struggle we go through is immense. The industry should learn not to put down outsiders.' Dhokha also featured Tulip Joshi, Anupam Kher, Gulshan Grover and Ashutosh Rana among others in key roles.
