The confusion may have stemmed from earlier controversies surrounding Deepika's reported departure from director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's upcoming film Spirit. Reports claimed the actress had requested shorter shooting hours, higher pay, and a share in the film's profits.
The demands reportedly did not go down well with the filmmaker, leading to Deepika's alleged exit. Following the incident, Sandeep Reddy Vanga welcomed actress Triptii Dimri on board and shared a cryptic note on his social media handles.

Putting down a younger actor and ousting my story? Is this what your feminism stands for? As a filmmaker, I put years of hard work behind my craft, and for me, filmmaking is everything. You didn't get it. You won't get it. You will never get it.

Musk's Transgender Daughter Reacts To His Public Feud With Donald Trump: "Such Beauty"

Elon Musk's estranged transgender daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, was relishing the fallout between her billionaire father and US President Donald Trump on social media, saying, "I love being proven right". Ms Wilson, 21, who has been a vocal critic of her father, did not miss the chance to get involved in the matter, having previously vowed to leave the US if Mr Trump was elected as the president. "I do not want to comment," Ms Wilson said in one of the videos before bursting into laughter. In a separate Threads post set to the song Job Application by Chase Icon, she wrote, "Such beauty in life." Both Mr Musk and Mr Trump have been jostling with each other after the former criticised the US president's "Big, Beautiful Bill", claiming it would increase the already bloated federal deficit. "I'm sorry, but I just can't stand it anymore. This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination. Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it," the Tesla CEO wrote on X (formerly Twitter). I'm sorry, but I just can't stand it anymore. This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination. Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it. — Elon Musk (@elonmusk) June 3, 2025 The situation turned pear-shaped when Mr Trump told reporters that he was expecting Mr Musk to attack him for some time. The SpaceX boss took things further by dropping the 'bomb' that Mr Trump was mentioned in the FBI's Jeffrey Epstein files. "Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!" wrote Mr Musk "Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out," he added. 'Woke mind virus' Ms Wilson and Mr Musk have not been on talking terms for a long time, with the Tesla boss claiming that the "woke mind viruses" had killed his son. "I was tricked into doing this. I lost my son, essentially. They call it 'deadnaming' for a reason. The reason they call it 'deadnaming' is because your son is dead," Mr Musk said in an interview, referring to gender-reassignment surgery. Responding to Mr Musk's assessment of the situation, Ms Wilson said that she had "disowned" him. Her legal transition occurred on June 22, 2022, at a court in California. "I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape, or form," Ms Wilson said back then.

Was Deepika Padukone ousted for demanding 10% profit share, ₹25 cr for Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit? New claims emerge

After Deepika Padukone's exit from Spirit, many narratives emerged on why she is no longer a part of the film. Now, News18, citing its source, has reported that Deepika had "demanded ₹25 crore for approximately 35 days of shoot, along with a 10% profit share" to be a part of Sandeep Reddy Vanga. As per the report, Deepika had expressed her unwillingness to deliver dialogues in Telugu, "something the director felt strongly about". (Also Read | Deepika Padukone-Sandeep Reddy Vanga row explained: Mudslinging & angry tweets over Triptii Dimri replacing DP in Spirit) Reportedly, Deepika also asked for "extensive entourage expenses". 'The actor had reportedly demanded ₹25 crores for approximately 35 days of shoot, along with a 10% profit share, extensive entourage expenses, and even expressed unwillingness to deliver dialogues in Telugu—something the director felt strongly about. To top it off, confidential plot details from Spirit were allegedly leaked, which raised serious concerns among the producers," the source told News18. Sandeep, according to the report, "believes actors speaking their own lines". 'Contrary to speculation, her restricted filming schedule of under 8 hours a day was never the primary issue. In filmmaking, working hours are fluid and depend on location, lighting, and various technical factors. You could shoot for 2 hours or 8, depending on the scene. What truly matters is flexibility, collaboration, and respect for the craft. It's about commitment. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga believes actors speaking their own lines builds authenticity and emotional connect with the audience," the source added. Last month, Deepika exited the film, and Triptii Dimri replaced her. Following that, Sandeep shared a scathing post seemingly criticising Deepika for 'ousting' the script of his next film, Spirit. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Sandeep didn't name anyone, but appeared to have slammed Deepika for "dirty PR games" and "putting down a younger actor". His post came after a Pinkvilla report shared details about Spirit's story. Deepika, who recently embraced motherhood, reportedly stipulated that she would not work more than eight hours a day during the shoot so that she could be with her daughter, Dua. However, her demands weren't met, and she exited the film. The actor had received widespread support online after initial reports called the demands 'unprofessional'. Spirit, which stars Prabhas in the lead role, is set to go on floors soon. It is produced by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures.

Deepika Padukone 'Hellbent' On Her Kalki 2 Work Schedule; Nag Ashwin To Replace Her?

Last Updated: Previously, Sandeep Reddy Vanga had also removed Deepika Padukone from Spirit. Deepika Padukone has been making headlines for a long time now, but for all the wrong reasons. First, she was ousted from Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit and then, it was reported that she might be removed from Kalki 2 as well. While an insider recently claimed that reports of Deepika's exit from Kalki 2 are false, a new report has claimed otherwise. If a recent report by Telugu360 is to be believed, Kalki director Nag Ashwin is likely to replace Deepika Padukone from the sequel of the film. Reportedly, the director has penned a substantial role for Deepika in part 2 of his superhit movie. It is being said that her character will have more weight this time. However, the report claims that Deepika Padukone is 'hellbent" on her working conditions and turning out to be a 'big headache" to the makers of Kalki 2. Reportedly, she is not willing to adjust her work schedule or other aspects related to her dates. It is for this reason that Nag Ashwin is planning to replace her in the movie. However, there is no official confirmation to this as of now. On Friday, an Instagram page called reported that Deepika Padukone's demand for shorter work hours post-motherhood is reportedly causing 'friction on sets". The makers of Kalki 2 are considering reducing or removing her role. However, later in the day, sources close to the film's production debunked the theory that Deepika was dropped due to 'on-set friction." 'They (Kalki 2 makers) haven't even approached actors because it's still in development," the insider told NDTV and then added, 'There's been no shoot, no interaction, and therefore, no fallout." Previously, Sandeep Reddy Vanga had also removed Deepika Padukone from Spirit. Reports suggest that her demands, including eight-hour workdays, a high salary, and a share in the film's profits, did not sit well with director Vanga. Deepika, a new mother, is reportedly seeking to balance her work and personal life by reducing her working hours. Vanga also took to his X handle and slammed Deepika by accusing her of playing 'dirty PR games'. 'When I narrate a story to an actor, I place 100% faith. There is an unsaid NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) between us. But by doing this, You've 'DISCLOSED' the person that you are…Putting down a Younger actor and ousting my story? Is this what your feminism stands for? As a filmmaker, I put years of hard work behind my craft & for me, filmmaking is everything. You didn't get it. You won't get it. You will never get it," Vanga wrote and then added, 'Aisa karo…. Agli baar poori kahani bolna… kyunki mujhe jarra bhi farak nahi padtha. #dirtyPRgames. I like this kahawath very much 🙂 खुंदक में बिल्ली खंबा नोचे !" Following Deepika's exit, it was then confirmed that Triptii Dimri will play a part in the Vanga directorial. First Published:
