Ozzy Osbourne's 'last confessions' to be published months after his death

Metro7 days ago
Ozzy Osbourne's 'brutally honest' autobiography is still set for publication following the music legend's death.
The iconic star died on July 22, aged 76, and his upcoming book will explore the ups and downs of his life, including the cheating scandal that almost ended his marriage in 2016.
Osbourne was, of course, married to TV personality Sharon Osbourne, having tied the knot in 1982.
However, hairstylist Michelle Pugh claimed she had an affair with the Black Sabbath rocker from 2012 to 2016, having met when she coloured his hair.
On details of the affair being made public later this year, a source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: 'This book was basically Ozzy's last confessions and contains a lot of passages about how he is sorry for the affair.
'As he was always brutally honest during his life, it's been decided not a word will be changed, even about painful times in his life and how his affair affected Sharon.'
Pugh previously said Osbourne told her he was 'unhappy' in his long-term marriage and 'consistently and willingly and generously' gave her 'his love.'
'What attracted me to him? Chemistry,' Pugh told People in August 2016. 'We just had it. It's that indescribable thing in life, and you can't deny it. And he didn't.'
After the infidelity came to light, Osbourne and wife Sharon split but reconciled two months later.
The Crazy Train hitmaker also spoke about the cheating scandal on Good Morning America, insisting their relationship was purely physical and stemmed from his sex addiction.
'He is sorry if Ms. Pugh took their sexual relationship out of context,' his representative added in a statement. 'He would like to apologise to the other women he has been having sexual relationships with. Since his relationship with Ms. Pugh was exposed, Ozzy has gone into intense therapy.'
Meanwhile, Sharon is now expected to write a foreword to her late husband's autobiography, which is titled Last Rites.
The insider added: 'Sharon is made of stern stuff, and the publishers know she will want to leave her fingerprint on this book.
'Writing its foreword will also be cathartic for her and act as a way of laying Ozzy to rest.'
The upcoming autobiography, which is set to be published in October, will explore the 'never-before-told story of Ozzy's descent into hell'.
A blurb for the book reads: 'Last Rites is the shocking, bitterly hilarious, never-before-told story of Ozzy's descent into hell.
'Along the way, he reflects on his extraordinary life and career, including his marriage to wife Sharon, alongside his reflections on what it took for him to get back onstage for the triumphant Back to the Beginning concert, streamed around the world, where Ozzy reunited with his Black Sabbath bandmates for the final time.
'Unflinching, brutally honest, but surprisingly life-affirming, Last Rites demonstrates once again why Ozzy has transcended his status as The Godfather of Metal and The Prince of Darkness to become a modern-day folk hero and national treasure.'
Osbourne's death was announced by his family, who revealed that he was 'surrounded by love' when the moment came.
They said in a statement earlier this week: 'It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love.'
As well as Sharon, he is survived by six children from his two marriages.
Fans will know Kelly and Jack, whom he shared with Sharon and starred in their hugely popular reality series The Osbournes. But he also had another daughter, Aimee, with the former X Factor judge.
As for his other kids, Osbourne welcomed Elliott, Louis, and Jessica with Thelma Riley, to whom he was married from 1971 to 1982. More Trending
In the days since Osbourne's death, fans of his music have been openly grieving.
Plenty of famous pals and admirers have also shared tributes, including Sir David Beckham, Queen legend Sir Brian May, and the Gallagher brothers, who displayed Osbourne's photo on-screen during their Wembley concert last night.
Osbourne, whose health struggles in recent years were well documented, played his own final gig with his bandmates just two weeks ago to a packed Villa Park in Birmingham.

Christine spoke out about her sexuality for the first time recently, revealing she has dated both sexes since she was a teen. The Sun revealed her fling with a leading soap actress earlier this month. Their encounter came in 2023, the year after Christine split from her ex-Top Gear host husband, Paddy, 51. The well-known actress, whom we are not naming, has previously been in relationships with men. Months after their marriage ended, Christine was pictured kissing singer Chelcee Grimes, 33. It was revealed how Christine got "incredibly close" to footballer Chelcee before splitting from Paddy. Yet the songwriter's recent fallout with pal Christine recently came to light, with the real reason for the pair's toxic spat revealed. The former couple have since disconnected on social media. Now, opening up in an interview with The Mail, Christine has revealed her ex Paddy's reaction to her dating woman. Christine McGuinness gives update on relationship with Paddy after soap star fling She said: "We spoke about this after we separated – what are we comfortable with, how much did we want to share – because neither of us wants to wake up and find the other on the front page of a newspaper. "But it's been three years now, I don't need to know what he's doing and he doesn't need to know about me. "It just stays outside the home." Christine then continued to explain that she would never bring a date back home. She shrieked: "No way! Even if I lived on my own it would be a long time before I took that step. "I was messaging an amazing woman last year, and it took three months before I agreed to meet her for a date. Christine has also said she would never use a dating app and meets people through friends, as her public profile is too high. Christine refuses to discuss Paddy's romantic life. The implication is they have both moved on and their private lives are none of each other's business. But could she see herself getting married again? "No,' she said. " I don't mean I'm traumatised by marriage; I was just so young then. I didn't understand how you're legally tied to someone if you're married. "I want to be in a committed relationship, but I want the freedom to walk away." Paddy and Christine first met through a mutual friend in 2007, when she was 19 and he was 33. In 2020, she was diagnosed with autism and ADHD after spending the majority of her life confused as to why she acted differently from everyone else growing up. Since then, the TV star has been raising awareness for it through interviews, television shows and public speaking. 7 Christine couldn't see herself getting married again Credit: Instagram 7 Christine wouldn't bring a date back home Credit: Instagram 7 Christine has said she feels she's too well known to use a dating app Credit: Instagram/mrscmcguinness

Tom Holland's stunt double is strapped to moving car in daring scenes as filming for Spider-Man: Brand New Day kicks off in Glasgow

Tom Holland's stunt double was seen hard at work on Saturday as Glasgow was transformed into New York City to film the upcoming Spider-Man movie. Tom Holland and Zendaya will be returning to screen for their fourth Spider-Man movie, titled Brand New Day, which is slated for release in July 2026. Fans have already been waiting four years to the follow-up to Spider-Man: No Way Home, and as filming finally kicked off, some very dramatic scenes were seen being filmed. A stunt double for leading actor Tom, 29 - who plays Peter Parker - was strapped to the roof of a moving vehicle, with excitement gearing up for the superhero venture. The nail-biting stunts were performed on top of a tank, with rehearsals taking place ahead of the scenes being filmed. The cast and crew were hard at work as they seemed to be planning some daredevil manoeuvres for the action film. A blacked-out Mercedes 4x4 AMG was seen guarding the area as they drove through the Scottish city. US flags have been erected on the sides of buildings while bright yellow taxis have been parked up in the city as Glasgow has been turned into New York City for filming. According to The Sun, producers planned to film in Liverpool but changed location following the devastating parade crash in the city on May 26, which left 109 people injured. Paul Doyle, 53, appeared in court earlier this month charged with seven offences including dangerous driving and causing grievous bodily harm with intent. In light of the crash, producers reportedly made the decision to relocate filming to Glasgow to be respectful to those affected by the incident. 'There were discussions about whether it was appropriate to stage big stunts, including car chases and explosions, in light of the awful incident,' a source told the publication. 'Filming is due to start in the coming days in Scotland so fans should keep their eyes peeled for webs on street corners.' A number of major roads will be closed in Glasgow over the coming days as production takes over the city, according to the Herald. Leading stars Tom and Zendaya, 28, were already in Scotland ahead of filming after shooting for Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey in the country earlier this month. Daily Mail contacted Tom and Zendaya's representatives and Disney+ for comment at the time. Tom first appeared as Spider-Man in the 2016 film Captain America: Civil War and made his solo debut in the 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming, alongside Zendaya - who portrays his love interest MJ. He has appeared in another two Spider-Man movies - 2019's Far From Home and 2021's No Way Home - as well as other Marvel spin-offs. No Way Home finished on a dramatic cliffhanger which saw the entire world forget who Peter Parker is after his identity as Spider-Man was made public in the previous film, causing him endless issues. Fans have been eagerly waiting to see whether Peter will be able to pick things up again with MJ after she devastatingly forgot who he was altogether following Doctor Strange's spell. Leading stars Tom and Zendaya fostered a real-life romance on the set of Spider-Man as they began dating after starring as on-screen lovers. They got engaged in December of last year, but will not be tying the knot any time soon due to their busy filming schedules, according to Law Roach. Leading stars Tom and Zendaya (pictured in 2021) also fostered a real-life love story on the set of the Marvel movie as they began dating after starring as on-screen partners Zendaya's trusted stylist told E! News of the nuptials: 'The process hasn't even started yet [...].' Zendaya is working on so many movies. 'She's now filming the next iteration of Dune, so she's away doing that. It's so many movies, so we have time. We have a lot of time.' As well as co-starring in Brand New Day, the in-demand couple will also appear in Christopher Nolan 's big-screen adaptation of Homer's The Odyssey next year. Zendaya is also shooting Denis Villeneuve's fantasy flick Dune: Part Three, Kristoffer Borgli's romantic dramedy The Drama, DreamWorks animated movie Shrek 5, and the third season of HBO Max's drama Euphoria. Zendaya has also signed on to produce and star as singer Ronnie Spector in Barry Jenkins' biopic Be My Baby, which is based on her 2022 memoir.

Ozzy Osbourne's cheeky nod to controversial career moment in his final farewell

Black Sabbath star's 'last laugh' with the burial plot on his Buckinghamshire estate Black Sabbath legend Ozzy Osbourne has proved just as batty in death as he was in life. The Prince of Darkness has created a light-hearted moment from beyond the grave because his final resting place is surrounded by bat boxes. ‌ Heavy metal singer Ozzy caused the most controversy in his colourful career by biting off a bat's head. On Wednesday, thousands of fans in Birmingham paid their respects to Ozzy as his cortege passed through the streets of his home city. ‌ The next day, the 76-year-old was laid to rest beside a serene lake in a private ceremony at his Buckinghamshire country estate. Alongside the lake was a giant floral tribute saying: 'Ozzy F***ing Osbourne'. It comes after wife Sharon broke down in tears at Ozzy's funeral in heartbreaking scenes. ‌ A family friend said the bat boxes in trees by the lake, installed a few years ago in an estate upgrade, had provided moments of humour as they grieved. The insider said: 'This was like a classic Ozzy move. The man loved humour and this sure would have tickled him pink knowing how close friends reacted to this bat situation. ‌ 'After all those decades caught up in this drama around bats and animal rights groups, here at his final resting place there are bespoke bat boxes to help encourage the animals thrive in the UK countryside. It has prompted quite a few laughs and funny reactions. It is just like Ozzy had the last laugh.' Ozzy bit the bat during his Diary of a Madman tour in Des Moines' Veterans Memorial Auditorium in January 1982 thinking it was a toy. The infamous incident outraged animal charities, but cemented his place into rock and roll history as the craziest artist of all time. ‌ In 2010 memoir I Am Ozzy, the star insisted that the bat was already dead, but regretted his action after needing daily rabies shots for months. Buckinghamshire has focused on improving the 'conservation of bats and their habitats' and encourages many planning applicants to include bird or bat boxes in schemes. The region is home to many brown-long eared and pipistrelle bats. ‌ Ozzy and wife Sharon, 72, spent more than £1million upgrading Welders House estate for their return to the UK in 2023, including a new wing to the mansion, a gym, recording facilities and lift giving the rocker, who had Parkinson's disease, access to the upstairs bedroom. The lake was doubled in size with fish added. Sharon and Ozzy's children – Jack, 39, Kelly, 40, Aimee, 41, and Louis, 50 – were joined by music stars for Thursday's ceremony at the250-acre estate near Gerrards Cross. Among them were his bandmates, including Zakk Wylde, Metallica frontman James Hetfield, rock star Marilyn Manson, Sir Elton John and singer Yungblud.
