So, whether you're prepping for a holiday, topping up for an event or just want a faux glow this heatwave, these are the fake tans our Mirror beauty and shopping team swears by...
Bali Body Gradual Tanning Butter
Shop it for £17.99 on sale
This tanning butter gently builds a sun-kissed tan while deeply nourishing your skin with rich moisturisers like shea butter and coconut oil.
Head of beauty and fashion Zoe says: "This is a fake tan that smells nothing like one – no biscuit scent, just a summery undertone that is very pleasant. It doubles as a luxe body lotion too, packed with skin-loving ingredients like hyaluronic acid and shea butter that leave my post-sun skin feeling nourished. It's perfect if you're a tanning beginner because it's practically foolproof with no streaks or orange tones in sight. The subtle gold shimmer gives an instant glow, even while the tan develops, and it dries so quickly that I can get into my pyjamas five minutes later. Bonus: no stained sheets or towels.
Isle of Paradise Glow Clear Self Tanning Mousse
Shop it for £22
A clear mousse with a no-transfer formula to give a light, medium or dark tan while offering colour-correcting abilities.
Beauty and wellness editor Laura says: "The transparent formula (I use the medium shade) means no transfer on clothes or bedding, which is a big win. Once developed, it gives a natural, golden glow that smooths out redness and imperfections, making me feel confident in summer clothes. It lasts impressively well too– still showing colour a week after my holiday. While it takes time to apply and develop, it's definitely my go-to for a reliable, natural tan before every trip."
St. Tropez Gradual Tan Tinted Body Lotion
Shop it for £18
A moisturising gradual tan that provides a soft, buildable sun-kissed glow while nourishing the skin.
Senior shopping writer Faith says:"I don't use fake tan often, but when I do I tend to stick to ones that are heavy on the moisturiser. I typically have dry skin with patches of eczema, so a hydrating and moisturising one is essential for me to avoid it settling into those dry areas. I also want something that's quick and easy to use – no long times leaving it to develop, having to shower it off again.
"That's why the St. Tropez Gradual Tan Tinted Body Lotion is definitely a go-to for me. It gives you an instantly tanned glow, and develops over time without needing to be washed off. The lotion is easy to blend (I use a tanning mitt) and I find it doesn't go streaky and dries quickly so there's minimal time spent standing around waiting around. It does have a green undertone which may not work for every skin tone, but I find this suits my skin's naturally red undertones as it neutralises the red, making it look more natural. The only down side is that if you get rained on, or spill something on your tan, it will become blotchy. However for those last minute tan top ups or a quick fix, this is a great go-to."
Utan Cool Undertone Instant Airbrush Spray
Shop it for £17.99
This wash-off tan gives your skin an instant, buildable bronzed glow while evening out tone, all with a fresh, non-fake tan scent.
Shopping writer Grace says: "At first, I wasn't sure the colour would be rich enough for me since the initial spritz was very sheer. But the beauty of this product is how quickly it dries, making it super easy to build up for a more bronzed look. It behaves more like body make-up than a traditional fake tan, so it's brilliant for evening out skin tone and giving a subtle glow without going full-on mahogany.
If you're after a deep, dramatic tan, this probably won't hit the mark – but for last-minute plans or a quick confidence boost, it's ideal. I'm a bit hopeless at remembering to fake tan in advance, so this handy little spray has earned a permanent place in my handbag. And the scent? Think warm vanilla and tonka, not that usual biscuit-y smell.
Loving Tan 2 HR Express Mousse
Shop it for £29.56 on sale
Article continues below
This fast-working mousse delivers a natural, olive-toned tan in just two hours, thanks to its quick-drying formula and colour guide technology.
Shopping writer Meghan says:"Applying this tanning mousse is as easy as using my usual moisturiser – the only tricky bit is my back, but with a bit of help, it takes under 30 minutes. I start with the two-hour guide for a subtle glow, but when I leave it on overnight, I wake up looking like I've just got back from the Med. It dries quickly, doesn't transfer to bedding, and the aloe vera base keeps my skin hydrated without clinging to dry patches. The result is a natural-looking, olive-toned tan that works beautifully on my pale skin. The mitt does slip a little on smaller hands, but it's a small gripe in an otherwise seamless tanning routine.

'I tried Fox's new pistachio flavour biscuits - there's one thing you need to know'
Dubai chocolate is still viral online, and the latest brand to join the hype is Fox's with their brand new Dubai-style chocolate biscuits and Mirror writer Niamh Kirk decided to try them out Fox's biscuits is the latest brand to jump on the pistachio hype as they launched their brand new 'Dubai Style' pistachio biscuits - but they have divided the internet. It seems pretty much everywhere you turn, there is some sort of pistachio flavoured food on the market all thanks to the viral 'Dubai Chocolate' bar. The brand behind the beloved Party Rings, Jammie Dodgers and Wagon Wheels have entered the Dubai Chocolate phenomenon, and as a true pistachio lover myself, I took up the seriously hard job of trying them for myself. Fox's Fabulous Chocolatey is bringing the luxury of the Middle East straight to the biscuit shelves and I couldn't be more excited. The Summer I Turned Pretty has major twist and fans are on the edge of their seats While they sound delicious with a "melt-in-the-mouth" pistachio filling, people have been divided over the might biscuits that are now available in stores due to being £3 a pack. While it is steep, the Dubai chocolate craze doesn't seem to be slowing down any time soon. The first thing I noticed was the size, they really aren't very big at all, but once I broke it in half it was absolutely crammed with soft chocolate and pistachio, so they definitely didn't scrimp on the filling. I can see why people aren't impressed with the price though as they aren't the biggest for your money. Excited to try, I bit into the biscuit and instantly had the soft melting chocolate cream which was tasty, it was very chocolatey but I didn't quite get the true pistachio flavour I was expecting. It gave a salty aftertaste, and a hint of nuttiness, but I can't say it was pistachio. For more stories like this subscribe to our weekly newsletter, The Weekly Gulp, for a curated roundup of trending stories, poignant interviews, and viral lifestyle picks from The Mirror's Audience U35 team delivered straight to your inbox. I think these would be great for those who are just starting out with pistachio flavouring and are wanting to try pistachio flavoured foods without being overwhelmed as it's a very mild flavouring. While there is only the slightest hint of pistachio that gives a slight salty aftertaste, it is still delicious. Each biscuit features a buttery cocoa shortcake base, filled with smooth pistachio cream. It's layered with a fine crumbled biscuit for a knafeh-inspired crunch and coated in velvety milk chocolate. It's finished with a dark chocolate drizzle to perfectly balance each bite - it's definitely a treat and I could most likely devour a whole pack with a cup of tea.

Molly-Mae Hague's sister Zoe totes £7K Chanel handbag as she heads to the gym weeks after being mocked for leaving Bali after 48 hours because it didn't meet her expectations
Molly-Mae Hague 's sister Zoe toted a £7,000 Chanel handbag as she headed to the gym in Cheshire on Monday, weeks after causing a storm over her luxury Bali getaway. The fitness influencer, 28, flashed her trim midriff in a skimpy grey crop top which she teamed with a pair of high-waisted black cycling shorts. Slipping her feet into comfy trainer and accessorised with gold jewellery with the black leather quilted designer bag under her arm. Zoe was recently mocked by fans for leaving their luxurious Bali trip after just 48 hours because it didn't live up to her expectations. She had planned the trip to Indonesia with her husband Danny to celebrate their first wedding anniversary. And despite staying in a huge sea view room at the Radisson Blu, a five-star hotel, they decided to leave early and jet to Dubai instead. Zoe explained that Bali looks better on social media than in real life, as influencers make it look luxurious, despite it being a developing country. In a new her YouTube video, Zoe told the camera: 'Since landing in Bali, something for us wasn't quite right. 'We came to Bali with high expectations as we'd seen on social media - everyone having such a lovely time, such gorgeous places to go for food and lovely beaches, lovely gyms, lovely coffee shops. 'If you took a picture of the coffee shop and zoomed out, you would see what the reality was. I don't think the reality of Bali is shown much, or at all. 'I do think it is down to a lot of influencers and people with large followings online, posting the more luxury side of things.' She added: 'Before I joined the army, I spent five months travelling Southeast Asia - I did Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Lao. I did China, Hong Kong. 'I did a lot and I spent a lot of time in these countries, but there is something very different about Bali. 'We got told that Uluwatu, where we are now, is one of the best places to go, so that's why we came here. So if this is one of the better places, then I'm not sure what the other places are like.' She continued: 'I do think if we'd travelled more north and gone to Ubud and maybe some of the more jungle-y areas, we may have had a different experience. 'Again, a lot of people are saying that's where they went and they felt exactly the same. 'I can really see the appeal, I can. I think if you're backpacking and want to travel about, it's great. I think for a holiday, staying in one place, not so great.' 'But then also, I say it's great for people that are backpacking but a lot of people messaged me saying they backpacked all these countries and this has been their least favourite out of all of them. 'I think there are a lot of other places to go where I think you would have a better experience and a better time.' Fans accused Zoe of being 'out of touch with reality', pointing out Bali is a developing country where many locals live in poverty. Others mocked her for apparently not realising that outside of high-end resorts, the island wouldn't match its glossy online image. Despite the backlash, Zoe stood by her comments, insisting that influencers post a 'filtered' version of Bali that doesn't reflect the reality. She told her followers that she had expected 'lovely places to eat, beaches, gyms and coffee shops' but had been left disappointed. The criticism drew comparisons with her Love Island sister Molly-Mae, who has also been accused in the past of living in a bubble far removed from everyday struggles. Meanwhile her sibling appeared to finally has something to smile about and claimed he she had had her 'favourite week ever' on her latest family holiday at a luxurious £2K-per-night hotel in Turkey. The former Love Island star, 26, was all smiles in her latest Instagram post on Thursday as she spent quality time with Tommy Fury and daughter Bambi at the luxury 5-star Regnum The Crown hotel. Shortly before her seventh trip of the year, fans blasted Molly after she claimed she 'hasn't done one fun thing' all summer despite enjoying first class trips to Dubai, Paris and Saint Tropez. Now, the hard to please influencer looked finally happy as she wrote, 'One of the my favourite weeks ever', as she played with Bambi, two, in the sunshine. It comes after Molly-Mae was accused of 'always moaning' in recent weeks after complaining she'd 'not done one fun thing all summer' despite jetting off to multiple destinations. Prior to her current trip, she travelled business class to one of the most luxurious hotels in the UAE, the five-star Jumeirah Al Naseem, where rooms cost £14K a night. To date, the millionaire Love Island star has spent the warmer months enjoying first class trips to Dubai, Paris, Saint Tropez and Wimbledon 's Centre Court, where she was greeted like Hollywood royalty after being invited by tournament sponsor Evian. If that wasn't enough time away from home, that month Molly-Mae also visited private members' club Soho Farmhouse in the Cotswolds. Molly-Mae treated herself to a couple of nights in one of the cabins, where members can enjoy spa facilities, country bike rides and tennis. In May, she
