Notre Dame's newest commit, Kaydon Finley, sees his commitment video go viral
The son of former NFL tight end Jermichael, joined the 2026 Fighting Irish recruiting class, and his announcement video has gone viral. It was shared by ESPN's Adam Schefter on Saturday morning, and at the time of this post, it has over 845,000 views.
Part of this certainly has to do with his father status as a former NFL star, but it also has to do with Notre Dame being in the national spotlight after its run to the College Football Playoff championship game. Finley is one of the highest ranked commitments for the Irish in this cycle, as he ranks as the No. 110 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite.
Finley looks like he won't be the only prospect that Notre Dame adds to its class over the weekend, as receivers Devin Fitzgerald (tonight) and Brayden Robinson (Sunday) are also set to announce.

Bills' Josh Allen Odds Of Repeating As MVP Winner Follow Historical Path
Bills' Josh Allen Odds Of Repeating As MVP Winner Follow Historical Path originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is the defending MVP entering the 2025 season after his exploits last year put a nice ribbon on his efforts. Advertisement Allen's stats don't jump out at you like Baker Mayfield's or Joe Burrow's did last year, but it was how Josh played that was crucial in his win. Just six interceptions, and he played within himself as he led an offense that averaged 30.9 points per game to the playoffs yet again, and one could say with an average receiver room. But now, as we look to 2025, what are the odds that Allen can repeat as MVP winner? Is that realistic? Bleacher Report thinks so. "Last year's winner has finished in the top five in MVP voting in each of the last three seasons and has all the tools to repeat," Bleacher Report writes. Advertisement Buffalo Bills quarterback and reigning NFL MVP Josh Allen.© Ed Mulholland-Imagn Images Now, Josh's statline last year reads 3,731 passing yards, 28 touchdowns, and six interceptions with 531 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns. Given how the league is now pass-happy, Allen will need to improve on those numbers, as Mayfield (41 touchdowns), Burrow (43), and Lamar Jackson (41) will likely be close to those numbers again. Allen's rushing touchdowns are a good tie-breaker, but his passing numbers will need to improve if he is to back up his MVP win with another. Yes, the wins will need to remain the same; that can't drop off, but everything else needs to improve. With Buffalo expected to seriously challenge for the Super Bowl, Allen will be in the MVP mix regardless, but to have a genuine shot at winning it and being just the sixth player in NFL history to go back-to-back, the Superman cape might need to come out more often. Bills' Promising Receiver Next 'Building Block' For Sean McDermott
Bills' Promising Receiver Next 'Building Block' For Sean McDermott originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Buffalo Bills' receiver room has gotten a lot of attention this offseason, with many of the thought that Josh Allen needs more weapons. Advertisement Of course, we don't think that is the case, given what Allen was able to do last season, but yes, in an ideal world, a No.1 receiver would be great, but it isn't a deal-breaker. With a lot of "guys" in the receiver room, one stands to have the potential to break out and be that go-to guy for Allen, and that is second-year receiver Keon Coleman. After a rookie season plagued by injury and poor form, Coleman is determined to come back in Year 2 and be the receiver the franchise drafted him to be. And due to his potential, Bleacher Report has named Coleman as Buffalo's most promising building block. Advertisement "In February, the Buffalo Bills rewarded their most consistent wideout, Khalil Shakir, with a four-year extension," Bleacher Report's Moe Moton writes. "Keon Coleman may have greater upside than the speedy slot receiver, though. "General manager Brandon Beane fired back at critics concerned about the Bills' receiver room. The Bills' executive will have the last word on that matter if Coleman turns more of his potential into production." Buffalo Bills wide receiver Keon Coleman (0) and Denver Broncos cornerback Riley Moss (21) look for a pass in an AFC wild card Konezny-Imagn Images Joshua Palmer came in via free agency to go with Coleman and Khalil Shakir as Allen's main weapons. If Coleman can see his production trend upward and haul in far more than just 29 receptions (last year's total), the Bills' passing game might see an uptick in form. Advertisement That is rather scary considering the offense scored, on average, 30.9 points per game last season, but Coleman has the potential to become Allen's No. 1 weapon. Another full offseason under his belt, and Coleman could be ready to take the league by storm. If he can overcome the injury bug and become a more consistent performer, there is every chance he'll become the leader of Buffalo's receiver room. Sauce Speaks Out On Jets QB Justin Fields as Matchup Nightmare
Sauce Speaks Out On Jets QB Justin Fields as Matchup Nightmare originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The New York Jets this offseason gave Justin Fields a two-year, $40 million contract ... and they have given him the starting job. Advertisement There is no doubt about all of that. The real question surrounding New York's new signal-caller is whether he can prove himself able to develop into a quality "franchise quarterback'' - regardless of the price tag. Through the first four seasons, Fields was unable to establish that he was "that guy.'' Amid a number of athleticism-based highlights, struggled mightily for both the Chicago Bears and Pittsburgh Steelers in terms of being a consistent performer, especially as a passer. His time in Pittsburgh - ah, those highlights! - stood out to the Jets, though. While he sat on the bench for most of the team's 2024 Week 7 win over New York, Fields was still someone the Jets had to key on whenever he went on the field. Advertisement "We didn't know if Justin was going to play or not and who was going to be the starter," Jets' All-Pro cornerback Sauce Gardner recalled Wednesday on "The Pat McAfee Show regarding his new quarterback. "We had to change the whole game plan for Justin, just for him to not even play that game, just for Russ (Russell Wilson) to be the starter. So then we went back to the other game plan like the night before or something like that." Gardner's comments show the kind of matchup nightmare Fields can be when he plays at a high level. ... but as a true dual threat. That's why the Jets wanted to bring Fields in the first place. They wanted a quarterback who could win from the pocket and make plays with his legs. Those kinds of signal-callers are very difficult to stop. Advertisement That is what New York is banking on. So long as Fields improves as a passer, the Jets are thrilled with what they have gotten from their new starting quarterback. ... and Gardner's speak-out endorsement is just the latest example of that.
