But now the pair have been reunited and are set to appear in a brand new project together again.
And what's even better - is that other soap stars will be joining the iconic pair.
Linda and Danny will be reuniting in the comedy show Mr Bigstuff's second series.
Which follows two polar-opposite brothers that have been estranged for a number of years.
Danny, earned his first ever BAFTA nomination for his role as Lee Campbell, and stars alongside series creator Ryan Sampson as Glen.
Speaking to Metro, Danny said: "You can go where you want with these characters.
"They're all very loveable, they're all flawed, they've all got their issues.
"But I think this is just the beginning of this, and I'm very intrigued to see what Ryan comes up with next. No pressure!"
Following a bombshell that their father isn't dead, the pair navigate the news in their own, very different ways.
Meanwhile, Glen's wife Kirsty (Harriet Webb) is blackmailed after sharing a kiss with someone other than her husband.
EastEnders's Shirley Carter sobs as she realises son Mick is dead
Linda will play Pam, a 'no-nonsense, hands-on mechanic' at the family haulage firm.
EastEnders' Barry Evans ( Shaun Williamson) – who was shockingly killed by Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) will also guest star.
Plus, Coronation Street Icon Rula Lenska plays an eccentric woman named Rita who the brothers think is connected to their dad.
Joining them will be another long gone Corrie legend, Shobna Gulati, who is best known for their part as Sunita Alahan in the street.
Soap's biggest whodunnits
EastEnders - Who shot Phil Mitchell?
The "Who Shot Phil?" storyline was a whodunit mystery that captured the attention of viewers and the media. The episode revealing the culprit was watched by 23 million viewers. Lisa Shaw, Phil Mitchell's former girlfriend and the mother of his child Louise, was revealed as the killer as Phil slept with Lisa's best friend. Phil forgave Lisa, and they agreed to keep the truth a secret.
Coronation Street - Who killed Tina McIntyre ?
The popular actress Michelle Keegan played Tina McIntyre for several years on the Cobbles, but she ended up being killed by Rob Donovan in a tragic turn of events back in 2014 when he chased her onto the balcony of the Builder's Yard. When she tried to leave, he pushed her and she fell off the roof, with Rob convinced he killed her. With Tina still alive, he attacked her with an iron bar but she survived that attack and was rushed to hospital as doctors tried to save her.
Emmerdale - Who pushed Emma Barton?
Emma was then pushed off a viaduct by Moira after she talked ill of her dead daughter Holly, who died of an overdose in October 2017. Although Moira was responsible for Emma's death, her son, Adam Barton, took the fall for the murder since he was already a prime suspect and he didn't want Isaac to grow up motherless.
Hollyoaks - Glove Hand Killer
The Gloved Hand Killer was a mystery serial killer, who claimed the lives of 7 characters between January and October 2015, all by injecting them with potassium chloride. The Gloved Hand Killer's targets were all people who had done wrong in some shape or form. There were 6 suspects for who the Gloved Hand Killer was, and the killer's identity was revealed in October 2015. It was revealed to be doctor Lindsey Butterfield who had been killing people at the hospital.
Fans are excited for Linda and Danny's reunion and one said: "I genuinely stopped in my tracks and thought this was a Shirley Carter return first look."
Another shared: "Linda Henry is still acting."
"The fact our Shirl will be back on our screens omg I've missed her. I will have to tune in" exclaimed a third.

Ex EastEnders actress has ‘breakdown' as she spots her ribs in picture after illness led to dramatic weight loss
Plus, what Melissa told The Sun about her unintentional weight loss last year 'I HATE IT' Ex EastEnders actress has 'breakdown' as she spots her ribs in picture after illness led to dramatic weight loss Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) MELISSA Suffield has shared an emotional post on social media after she unintentionally lost weight because of an illness. Melissa, 32, was diagnosed with small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) after experiencing "horrible nausea" in 2023. Sharing a snap from inside a fitting room, Melissa could be seen donning a bright green plunging dress. "I had a bit of a breakdown today," Melissa began her post. She said: "Today has been not a very good day. "I had a bit of a menty b in the changing rooms while I was filming some bits. "I'm sure light didn't help, but I could see my ribs visible in the middle of my chest," she explained, referring to her chest area visible because of the plunging neckline. Melissa added: "And I just totally lost it. Like, cartoon floods of tears, unable to catch breath, that sort of thing. "You can see it on my face, like I am seconds away from breaking the f*ck down. And that is indeed what then happened." Getting even more emotional, Melissa went on: "It's just such a visible reminder of how much SIBO has taken from me. How much else I've lost along with the weight. 'I HATE IT' "And that doesn't even begin to cover the mental/emotional impact. Former EastEnders star opens up about drastic weight loss after health battle and says she was healthier when she was bigger "The fact that we glorify weight loss so much much is weighing so heavy on me, especially when I look in the mirror and see this. I hate it. "I know there are people who would be overjoyed to see this, but when you lose the weight like this, trust me, it's not a nice feeling. There is no accomplishment. Just a reminder of everything you have lost. "And no matter how often I talk about it, I'm going through it alone. Nobody will ever truly understand, even if they're going through it themselves. "Nobody else will know what I'm thinking when my legs feel so heavy I can barely manage the stairs. Or how lonely it is when you're still awake at 3am because the nausea won't let you lay down." What is SIBO? SIBO is also known as Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth. Melissa experiences nausea, reflux, constipation, and other symptoms like her hair falling out and suffering from dry skin. According to the Mayo Clinic, the condition occurs "when there is an abnormal increase in the overall bacterial population in the small intestine — particularly types of bacteria not commonly found in that part of the digestive tract." Melissa then spoke about how she often talks about body confidence and embracing change, but noted how "this feels different" because there is "nothing to embrace". ANGRY BECAUSE OF SIBO She added how the impact her long term illness has had on her body image is "wild" before saying her body is "broken". The former soap star then said how she has to be a mother, an attentive partner, a cleaner, a cook and everything else in between, but when she was in the changing room, it was just her. "But in that changing room, nobody else, I'm just me. There aren't any responsibilities or asks. "So she puts it all down and she breaks in half. "And then she dries her eyes, and she cracks on. Again," she said. Melissa then revealed the "two good things" to come out of the "breakdown". "I got angry," she penned, revealing the first "good thing". "Yet again, another renewed fire for talking about SIBO. For educating as many people as possible. For helping people understand the symptoms, for forcing healthcare professionals to sit up and listen, for changing the perception, and for advocating for treatment. "A fight I will always show up for, no matter what." She then revealed the second "good thing", saying: "I bought the dress anyway. Because I love the colour, the cut, and of course, the pockets. "I'm not going to let SIBO take anything else from me." 'THERE'S NO JOY' Last year, Melissa opened up about her unintentional weight loss exclusively to The Sun. "Obviously, I've lost quite a lot of weight this year," Melissa began, adding: "But absolutely none of that has been through choice. None of it. Like I'm back in my pre-pregnancy jeans." 'She added: "But there's no joy," noting: "I don't enjoy the fact that that's happened at all in the way that you know, that's like a goal for a lot of people. "A) It was never a goal for me. But B) this is the complete antithesis of whatever I've ever wanted with my body. "So that's been tricky for sure. And then also, just on top of that, like my skin and my hair has been like affected. "Now I'm dealing with feelings of, you know, not enjoying the way that I look, which is frustrating because I've done such a lot of work to get me to a place where." 5 Melissa has a mass following on social media and raises awareness of SIBO while promoting body confidence Credit: Instagram/@

Coronation Street star 'bullied' by classmates for being on ITV soap
Helen Flanagan has become a household name as a result of her Corrie role (Picture:for the NTA's) Coronation Street's Helen Flanagan has opened up about being bullied as a child. The star portrayed the role of Rosie Webster in the ITV soap on and off from 2000 to 2018. The star left the cobbles to go on maternity leave, and hasn't returned since. Due to the fact Helen was a youngster when she joined the show, some of her classmates ended up bullying her as she divided her time between school and the soap. It's this experience that has impacted Helen's decision on choosing a school for her daughter Matilda, who she shares with footballer and ex-partner Scott Sinclair. Helen has three children with her ex Scott Sinclair (Picture: Karwai Tang/WireImage) Helen admitted recently that the bullying she suffered when she was a child got so bad, she ended up moving to a private school for girls. 'Picking a secondary school for my little girl can be quite daunting because I remember I did struggle with a lot of bullying as well in my first school, because I was on Coronation Street. I'm naturally quite a soft person as well, and I did really really get picked on', she told the Daily Star. When Helen moved schools, she ended up doing half of the time due to commitments at the ITV soap. She added: 'I got extra support and I did tutors as well at Corrie. I had to be in education until I was 16 and had to do four hours a week. I think I was the only one who was a bit of a geek out of the Corrie lot. But I actually did quite like it. Helen played Rosie Webster, daughter of Sally and Kevin (Picture: ITV) 'But because I got picked on an awful lot, this is now why as a mum, I worry. My little girl she is a sweetie and soft like me, but you don't want to put your insecurities onto your children.' As a result of becoming a household name through the soap, Helen is often asked about whether she'd ever reprise her role. After previously admitting that she wouldn't go back due to her children being young, Helen now feels she's at a point where she'd be able to juggle motherhood with the busy life at the soap. 'I can't say too much, but it could be possible that I could go back. I get on with everyone there, there's nothing personal going on', she said in a chat with The Sun. 'It changed my life so much and my loyalty is with them. I feel like Rosie's a part of me.' Helen also touched on how she believes Rosie is an important character to have on our screens, saying 'they do need me. They do need Rosie.'
