Oti Mabuse emotional as she chats about her family history
Oti Mabuse broke down in tears on today's episode of Loose Women as she spoke about her emotional journey on the show, DNA Journey.
During the episode of the ITV show, which aired in 2023, Oti and Motsi Mabuse explored their family history in South Africa, in which they discovered a WWII connection.

Their grandfather, Paulus Mabuse, fought for the British in the Native Military Corps during the war. During the ITV daytime show, Oti revisited a clip of herself and her sister Motsi when they found out, which moved her to tears.

In the clip, Oti and Motsi were seen breaking down in tears when they were given medals their grandfather received for his work in the armed forces.
'It's a good thing, it's an amazing thing. Please don't think we're sad. One of the missing pieces that we've missed and needed to hear for so long, it's a beautiful thing. We're so grateful. These are tears of, "Oh my God!"'
The pair said they had "no idea" that there were war medals in their family, as they learnt their grandfather fought for the British in World War II. Oti revealed that her grandfather, along with many others were promised land. However, they were relocated and left in the middle of nowhere.
Oti said it made her feel "horrendous" as she said both her and Motsi cried their make-up off. However, she said they felt liberated knowing where they come from. "Now I know that I'm a granddaughter of a soldier," she told the panel, before the clip was played.
As they cut back to the studio after the clip was played, Oti wiped away he tears as she said: "It's moving.

"Also, I think that we tried to look for something, we didn't wait for the show to come to us. We also asked our parents, and you can see the generational trauma that it causes.
"My dad didn't speak to his dad and so he didn't know. All that they knew is maybe they drank, they went to the mine, and then they died. He didn't know that his life served a purpose and he helped save the world.

"We're here because of people like our grandad, and it means the world to us."
Speaking on her experience on Loose Women, Oti said it was the "best show" she'd ever done. "It gave me something personally back. Our history in South Africa is really rough. Specifically with my family it was wiped out, so we had no way of getting any information."
Tonight, Sam Thompson and Marvin Humes will be taking part in the ITV show to discover their family history. In the episode, the duo start off in Jamaica. There, JLS star Marvin finds out that his Great Grandma Blanche was not actually married to his Great Grandfather David James.

They had four children, but immediately after the fourth, Marvin's Grandma Ruby, was born in 1930, David James left.
Meanwhile, Sam flies into a panic when he is told he has an ancestor who spent time in Jamaica. 'It doesn't sounds good, don't say it..' he says. However, he is relieved to learn there is no slavery connection.
It comes after Sam admits to Marvin that he knew "nothing" about his family history before taking part in the show.

Rarest Queen Elizabeth £1 coins enter circulation in major before major change

The Royal Mint has announced that the final batch of coins depicting the late Queen Elizabeth will enter circulation, as more King Charles coins are also released The last batch of rare coins depicting Queen Elizabeth are entering circulation in the UK today, the Royal Mint has announced. ‌ More than 23 million Queen coins are being released, with The Royal Mint saying the last of the Elizabeth II coins, dated 2022, are the rarest £1 coins in active circulation. The final release will coincide with 7.5million new King Charles £1 coins also entering circulation around the nation. ‌ The Queen's £1 coins will be the final ones bearing Elizabeth II's portrait to be released, as the Royal Mint begins the final stages of ushering in coins that feature the new monarch, King Charles. It comes after fears for the future of Buckingham Palace as William and Kate "make huge decision". ‌ READ MORE: Prince Harry's secret royal move speak volumes after 'peace talks' with top aides The Royal Mint said that the historic transition – with the dual release of almost 31million coins – represents a significant moment for UK coinage, as the nation witnesses the changeover from Britain's longest-reigning monarch to her son and heir on the £1 denomination. Rebecca Morgan, director of commemorative coin at the Royal Mint, said: "This release represents a pivotal moment in British coinage history. "As we release more of the King Charles III £1 coins into circulation alongside the final coins of Queen Elizabeth II, we're witnessing the physical representation of our monarchy's transition. This dual release creates an exceptional opportunity for both seasoned numismatists and those new to coin collecting." The Royal Mint is urging Britons to check their change over the coming weeks as the new coins will begin to appear in pockets and tills across the UK. ‌ Ms Morgan added: "Finding these new coins in your change could spark a rewarding hobby that connects you with the heritage, history and craftsmanship behind British currency." Since King Charles' coronation in 2023 and the subsequent introduction of his effigy on UK coinage, the 50p and £1 are the only denominations with Charles's portrait to have entered circulation so far. Nearly three million £1s with the King's effigy were released in August last year, with the coin featuring an intricate bee design on the reverse and are part of the Definitive collection, inspired by the flora and fauna of the British Isles. ‌ In total, there are around 24.7billion coins in circulation across the UK, with the King's coins representing only around 0.004 per cent of those, making his new coins highly desirable to collectors. All UK coins bearing the Queen's portrait will remain legal tender and in active circulation to allow a smooth transition and minimise the environmental impact and cost. The Royal Mint has made the circulating coinage for England of each of Britain's monarchs since Alfred the Great.

Tommy Fury reveals he lost major brand deal over cheating allegations

Tommy Fury has claimed that he lost major brand deal over when he was accused of being unfaithful to fellow Love Islander Molly-Mae Tommy Fury has claimed that he lost major brand deals when he was accused of cheating on Molly-Mae Hague. The boxer, 26, struck up a relationship with Molly Mae, also 26, on the set of Love Island in 2019 and they became parents to daughter Bambi, now two, in the years that followed. ‌ After finding success on the ITV dating show, Molly Mae and Tommy signed numerous brand deals, with Tommy earning a fortune from the likes of M&S, Aldi and The Gym Group whilst Molly famously became creative director at Pretty Little Thing. ‌ They were even set to tie the knot but thing started to go awry in 2024 when Molly Mae announced that they had called it quits. Rumours quickly swirled that Tommy had been unfaithful towards Molly Mae, even though he slammed these as 'complete and utter bulls***' in interviews. ‌ READ MORE: Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae split - what really went on with those 'cheating' claims? But in the third episode of his new BBC docuseries, titled Tommy: The Good, The Bad. The Fury, Tommy reveals that that the tumultuous time lost him work. He admits: "The phone did go quiet..." His manager added: "I even had a brand yesterday, that I was speaking to over the weekend that we've worked with before. They said, 'We really want to work with Tommy but we're a bit concerned about how this plays out.'" The sports star damaged his hand early last year, and he was left unable to train. He turned to drink after hitting "rock bottom" and this was when things started to come crashing down for the couple amid their very public personal lives. Molly Mae moved out of their family home as Tommy grappled with his drinking struggles. 'I had enough drink to last me a lifetime in 2024,' he confessed. "Suddenly, one day, you find that all you can do is sit down and then a few of them (drinks), it takes the pain away. You forget where you are, you forget what's going on. And sometimes you want that feeling all the time, and that's where obviously it starts." ‌ Tommy admitted: 'Now, when I look at that person from back then, I don't even recognise that guy. It's just not me. Back then, I didn't really care about anything. It was like the world going by, wasn't bothered, and that's just not me.' The boxer hasn't cut drink out of his life, but said he is now barely touching alcohol. 'Going forward, if it's a wedding or something like that, I might have a couple of drinks. Four or five times a week is something nobody should be doing," he said. Tommy recalled: 'I woke up one morning and everything was gone, Molly and the baby had gone. That was the moment I thought, 'wow, what's going on?' And that was the moment where I just started to try and change things around.' But things came full circle for the couple, and Molly-Mae recently decided to take Tommy back, and the pair have been rekindling their romance and life with Bambi under the same roof. However, it was her upping and leaving that really got Tommy into shape.

Now it seems we know what leads to Mack being John's possible next victim. ‌ With Mack and wife Charity Dingle hitting the rocks over the surrogacy plot – as Mack is not even aware that she's cheated on him with Ross Barton which has sparked a new DNA twist, Mack was kicked out of their home. Finding a clue, a panicked Mack will rumble John - no doubt paving the way for a showdown if he is to die or be his next victim. Nothing has been confirmed for this just yet, while fans fear this is where Mack's flashforward will come into play. The clip that first aired in December showed him frantically running through the woods as if he's being chased. So to see Mack wearing the same outfit for the clue discovery left fans sure this would be the moment it all comes crashing down for Mack. The rest of this article will contain details from Wednesday's episode that is now on ITVX but it doesn't air on ITV1 until 7:30pm on Wednesday night. ‌ If you don't want to find out what happens, now is your time to look away. The episode, at the very end, sees Mack uncover something truly jaw-dropping, linked to a scene earlier in the episode. Mack is looking through a scrapbook from John's army days, where he spots a photo of John with a pal named Ben. Mack is shocked as the Ben in the photo is none other than the Ben he met in the shop earlier that day. ‌ He realised Ben is the mystery removal man who had come to collect Nate Robinson's belongings from his wife Tracy, weeks before it was revealed Nate was dead. Now, it was known after the murder came to light that Nate could not have organised the collection, having been dead for months. So knowing Nate's killer was very likely the person who organised this collection, Mack was stunned to hear Ben claim Owen, the man John has framed for Nate's murder, as the man who he met and gave the items to. So when Mack sees the picture of Ben and John together, realising they are close and knowing that John had visited Owen right before his death, it all seemed to fall into place. Mack looked truly horrified as the realisation hit him that John and Ben knew each other. But has he also realised that Ben and John were in cahoots, and therefore John is the killer of Nate?
