Yella Beezy arrested, charged with capital murder after allegedly hiring shooter to kill fellow rapper MO3
Dallas rapper Yella Beezy has been arrested and accused of arranging a murder-for-hire in the death of a fellow hip-hop artist.
The "That's on Me" musician, whose real name is Markies Conway, was arrested Thursday following a grand jury indictment and charged with capital murder while remuneration in connection with the 2020 death of Melvin Noble, the rapper who performed as MO3, according to court documents reviewed by Entertainment Weekly. Conway allegedly hired Kewon White to kill Noble, who died in November 2020 following a shootout on Interstate 35 in Dallas.
A representative for Conway didn't immediately respond to Entertainment Weekly's request for comment Friday. Representatives for the Dallas County District Attorney's Office and the Dallas Police Department declined to comment on the case.

Conway's grand jury indictment alleges that he "intentionally and knowingly" caused Noble's death by employing White "for remuneration and the promise of remuneration, namely: United States currency." His bond was set at $2 million. White was arrested in December 2020 on a firearm charge, and has also been charged with Noble's murder, according to the United States Attorney's Office. He is currently serving a nine-year sentence after pleading guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in 2022.
Conway had previously been arrested and charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon and possession of marijuana. Both of those charges were later dismissed, according to court documents. Additionally, Conway was arrested and charged with sexual assault and child endangerment in 2021, but those charges were dismissed as well, according to CBS News.

Yella Beezy is best known for his song "That's on Me," which hit No. 56 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and spawned a remix with 2 Chainz, T.I., Rich the Kid, Jeezy, Boosie Badazz, and Trapboy Freddie. He also opened for Beyoncé and Jay-Z at the Dallas and Houston shows on their On the Run II Tour in 2018. The rapper later collaborated with Quavo, Gucci Mane, Chris Brown, Lil Baby, Young Thug, and Ty Dolla $ign, and most recently released the track "Hit," featuring Lil Wayne.

MO3 rose to prominence with his 2019 song "Errybody," which featured Boosie Badazz. The duo later collaborated on the album Badazz MO3, which rose to No. 136 on the U.S. Billboard 200. His posthumous 2021 single "Outside" hit No. 92 on the Hot 100.

'Squid Game' Creator Reveals He's Lost Over 10 Teeth Filming Netflix Series
Contestants on "Squid Game" may be losing their lives, but its creator is losing his teeth! Creator, writer, and director Hwang Dong-hyuk recently revealed that he lost about eight teeth filming the first season of the Netflix smash hit, and now he's lost a few more! A few weeks ahead of the season 3 premiere of 'Squid Game,' Hwang opened up on the stress that he has experienced while creating the Netflix hit. He told Entertainment Weekly that while he lost about 'eight or nine' teeth while making the first season, there were still a few more to go. "I thought it was going to be okay, but this time I had to pull out two more teeth as well," Hwang told the publication. "I had to pull out about eight teeth in season 1, and now I have two more teeth out, and I haven't put them back in yet. So I'm waiting for them." Even though it still took a toll on his health, Hwang admitted that it was easier for him to finish seasons 2 and 3, which will wrap up the story of Gi-Hun (also known as Play 456), who Emmy-award-winning actor Lee Jung-jae plays. "I do already have the universe and the space that I have envisioned come to life, so in a sense, season 2 and season 3 were easier compared to season 1," Hwang explained. "But the problem is that for season 2 and season 3, we had to shoot and write in one go.' 'It was as if we were making one season, and we tried as best as we could to bring in season 3 as fast as possible,' he continued. 'So the total amount was much larger, and we had to shoot for around one year, so it was very physically demanding." Last year, fans of the hit Netflix series watched Gi-hun lead a failed rebellion against the Front Man, played by Lee Byung-hun. The second season ended on a dramatic note, with the Front Man killing Gi-hun's close friend, Jung-bae, right in front of him. With several contestants still remaining, Hwang teased that the games are going to be more gruesome than ever. "In the case of season 3, I wanted to introduce games that could really show the lowest bottom of human beings, because the series itself is reaching its climax," Hwang previously told Entertainment Weekly. "I wanted very intense games to bring out the bottom parts of human nature.' 'In season 1, we had lots of games like Tug of War that really utilized height and the fear that this height gives, but in the case of season 2, we didn't have that element,' he explained. 'That is why in season 3, I decided to introduce games that could really infuse fear in people with sheer height." Although there is a lot of bloodshed in store for his characters, Hwang revealed that 'season 3 is indeed a finale' that may not end in a completely dark place. "In the case of season 3, I wanted to take a slightly different approach — I wanted to focus on how [people] have to preserve their humanity amidst this intense competition in this capitalistic era," Hwang said. He went on to say, "I wanted to focus on how we can preserve our sense of humanity and how we should remain humans even amidst this intense competition. I try to pose that as a final question." Many fans on social media have been expressing their excitement over the show's upcoming third season, with some offering spin-off ideas to keep the "Squid Game" universe alive. 'I don't want the 'Squid Game' era to end. I think you should make a Frontman spin-off. I'm curious to know his story,' one fan commented on a post promoting the final season. James Gunn says Peacemaker season 2 has a "really, really, really big cameo" as he teases key connections between the HBO show and the upcoming Superman

All eyes might be in Superman right now as it is the first movie in the new DC Universe (DCU), but James Gunn is already teasing many surprises and cameos for the upcoming Peacemaker season 2. The show is set to return in August after a three-year hiatus. According to the DC boss, that big gap in between seasons has allowed him to weave the story into the DCU in a more organic way. "I developed it along the way, in conjunction with the other DC projects that we're doing, so it's very much connected to Superman and it's very much connected to what comes after," Gunn told Entertainment Weekly. "I had a rough idea of what I was going to do, but it was actually quite different than what the show ended up being," he added. The first Peacemaker season 2 trailer already revealed some unexpected cameos from the new Superman, including Nathan Fillion's Green Lantern Guy Gardner, Isabela Merced's Hawkgirl, and Sean Gunn's Maxwell Lord. They are not the only ones, though. "You've seen what we call the QUC, the Quantum Unfolding Chamber, in the first season of Peacemaker, and we see more about that technology in Superman," Gunn explains about the connections between the HBO show and Superman, revealing that "the QUC is the center of the story in Peacemaker season 2". "We see a lot of different characters from Superman in the [season], [including] Isabela and Nathan and Sean, and then we see a bunch of other characters later on in the season from other parts of the DCU and from Superman. There might even be one really, really, really big cameo near the end of the show," he teased. Could that big cameo also be from Superman? Could it be Superman himself, or even Supergirl? Or is it perhaps related to the old DCEU? We will have to wait and see how DC Studios' grand plans in DCU Chapter One: Gods and Monsters unfold. As for the plot for Peacemaker season 2, Gunn also revealed that the story will follow John Cena's hero while he struggles to be taken seriously among the superhero community. "We come into season 2 with Peacemaker knowing that he saved the world from the Butterflies. He thinks he's a big star now, and he should be a real superhero. And we see at the very beginning of episode 1 that he's meeting with the group of superheroes from Superman, and he's basically interviewing for membership in the group. But they just mock him the entire time, so he's not taken seriously," he said. Peacemaker season 2 will be released on August 21, 2025. Khadiyah Lewis, 'Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta' star, dies at 44
Khadiyah "KD" Lewis, the reality TV personality best known as a cast member on the VH1 series Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, has died. Her brother Jamaal Lewis confirmed the news on Instagram, writing, "Rest In Peace To My Sister Khadiyah Lewis, She Was The Best." Jamaal told the Shade Room that his sister died May 30, at 44. "This has been an extremely emotionally devastating time. All prayers, condolences, and well wishes are sincerely appreciated," he said in a statement. "At this time, we have decided not to discuss anything surrounding her death or why she passed away." Entertainment Weekly has reached out to representatives for Khadiyah Lewis for further information. Sina Bina, who costarred on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta with Lewis, paid tribute to her late castmate in an Instagram story post, writing, "Rest in Peace Queen… condolences to her family and friends. Born in Oklahoma City in 1981, Lewis attended Florida A&M University and Georgia State University, according to LinkedIn. She primarily worked as a tax consultant and real estate broker for the past two Lewis was best known for her time on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta. She first appeared on the reality show — a spinoff of Love & Hip Hop: New York that debuted a year after the original series — in its third season, in 2014. Lewis could be seen in six episodes of season 3 as the real estate agent and business consultant of rapper Yung Joc. Lewis then became a more regular cast member on the show when she returned as Yung Joc's girlfriend during season 4, in 2015. She is credited in 13 of the season's 19 episodes, according to IMDb.
