OnePlus announces summer launch event to introduce five new products

Top tech brand OnePlus has had a busy 2025 so far with the arrival of flagship products the OnePlus 13 smartphone, Pad 3 tablet and Watch 3 wearable.
Now the firm has confirmed the launch of five new products.
The event will take place on July 8 just days after the reveal of Phone 3 by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei's new firm Nothing.
And there are rumours of at least two more major smartphone launches in early July.
The new OnePlus devices include two handsets in the mid-range smartphone OnePlus Nord series - OnePlus Nord 5 and OnePlus Nord CE5.
There is also a new flagship audio product, OnePlus Buds 4. And there's a new size coming for the acclaimed OnePlus Watch 3 that will be 43mm. On top of all this we get a new addition to the company's tablet line-up, OnePlus Pad Lite.
Here's everything we know so far…
OnePlus Nord 5, revealed today in the light blue Dry Ice colourway (above) alongside the Marble Mist version of the OnePlus Nord CE5, both represent a breakthrough in the Nord line-up.
This is because they are the first devices in the series to feature Snapdragon 8 series chipsets. Powered by the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Mobile Platform with a 4nm architecture and flagship Kryo CPU, paired with LPDDR5X RAM, the firm said this device delivers unparalleled performance in its class, achieving an AnTuTu score of 1.59 million.
Nord 5's performance credentials extend to gaming, with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 inheriting GPU architecture from the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, supporting Snapdragon Elite Gaming with hardware-accelerated real-time ray tracing.
OnePlus Nord 5 promises top notch thermal management and robust support for leading mobile games. For example, the device will run Call of Duty Mobile natively at a solid 144fps, delivering the ultimate experience for intense, competitive gaming.
The incoming OnePlus Buds 4 redefines standard offering flagship sound quality offered by dual drivers, dual DACs, Hi-Res LHDC 5.0 and 3D Audio. For gamers, OnePlus Buds 4 will offer 47ms ultra-low latency in Game Mode, ensuring audio syncs perfectly with on-screen action. There are two colour options, Zen Green and Storm Grey.
The highly acclaimed OnePlus Watch 3 has become known for its long battery life, accurate GPS and excellent health and wellbeing metrics. The smaller iteration packs in all the same features to a 43mm silver steel frame.
Following the successful launch of the OnePlus Pad 3 in June, the company is expanding its tablet offering with a new entry-level tablet, OnePlus Pad Lite. Available in Aero Blue in Ireland and Europe, the device is an affordable entertainment and productivity hub.
OnePlus promise to reveal more details about all the upcoming products in the coming weeks.
The firm also confirmed a Pop-Up tour of Europe, visiting seven countries. The first pop-up event will be held in Helsinki (Finland) on July 8, followed by London (UK) on July 10. The next pop-up will be in Copenhagen (Denmark) on July 11, followed by Antwerp (Belgium), Paris (France) and Warsaw (Poland) on July 12. The pop-ups conclude in Madrid (Spain) on July 16.
The pop-ups give the OnePlus community an opportunity to get early hands-on with the full suite of products, exclusive discounts not available elsewhere, and the chance to win devices from across the firm's ecosystem.
You can also purchase a range of older OnePlus products from the Amazon store which regularly offers special deals and discounts.

OnePlus Pad 3 1st impressions: can an Android tablet finally replace my laptop?

On-fire tech brand OnePlus has launched OnePlus Pad 3, a flagship tablet fusing supercharged hardware with clever software and AI features. It comes hot on the heels of the OnePlus Pad 2 which I said was 'ideal for streaming TV shows, watching movies, reading e-books and magazines and browsing websites'. It was one of a number of tablets we reviewed last year that hoped to challenge the dominance of Apple iPad in the market. Huawei matched Apple in terms of hardware on its MatePad Pro 12.2. We said the Paper Matte Edition had a superior display to every other tablet including Apple's flagship iPad Pro in our review. However, hardware is only half the story on tablets and apart from the excellent free GoPaint app that rivals the iPad-only Procreate app, Huawei's MatePad Pro fell way short of what iPad offers in software. That's because of the range of iPad optimised apps which makes it easy for Apple. We also reviewed the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ which is a similar size to OnePlus Pad 3 but costs almost double the price. It was probably the most complete Android tablet I've tested yet but did not offer enough compelling features to challenge Apple's flagship iPad Pro. The OnePlus Pad 2 was probably closest to the mid-range iPad Air series. It was "a device with zippy performance, a bright and colourful display, powerful speakers and outstanding battery life. And it was powered by last year's high-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip along with a decent 12GB of RAM". Now along comes the OnePlus Pad 3 and I've decided to test it for an upcoming full review by ditching my Windows laptop for a couple of weeks to see if the Android tablet can replace the notebook for both work and play. In the meantime, here are my first impressions… The OnePlus Pad 3 sure looks the part. Measuring less than 6mm thin, the device has a metal unibody design to ensure it is super strong and bend resistant. It weighs just 675g so it's light enough to take everywhere with you. My review unit is a hue that the company calls Storm Blue. The tablet's large, pin-sharp, 13.2in LCD display comes with 3.4k resolution, 12-bit colour depth and pixel density of 315 PPI (pixels per inch). It's perfect for displaying everything from the latest blockbuster movie to your latest work presentation. And its unique 7:5 aspect ratio means multitasking is an absolute breeze. Eight symmetrically placed speakers - four woofers and four tweeters - add to the immersive media consumption experience. Under the hood is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite, the most powerful mobile system-on-a-chip on the market, coupled with up to 16GB that should be all the power you need for high-end productivity or intensive gaming. The model I'm testing only has 12GB of RAM but I haven't noticed any lag or stutter - it is breezing through everything I throw at it. Battery life is rated at up to 17 hours which is almost double some rival tablets. Overall, the new OnePlus Pad 3 combines a premium hardware and software experience at an iPad Air price point. I'm looking forward to testing the machine out fully in the coming days and weeks. I'm using it with the firm's latest Smart Keyboard. It seamlessly connects to the tablet using the built-in pogo pins and no Bluetooth connection is needed. The accompanying stand can be adjusted to a range of angles, just like a laptop. OnePlus Pad 3 is on sale at for €599 (12GB/256GB) and €699 (16GB/512GB). The Stylo accessory is €99, the Smart Keyboard is €169 and the folio case is €59. The 13in Apple iPad Air, for comparison, costs from €979 from

I tried an absolute bargain new Android mobile that costs £250 & proves you DON'T need to break the bank on posh phones

A SMARTPHONE that costs £250 in 2025? Surely not - or at least it must be pretty dog poor. Advertisement 5 £250 for a smartphone of this quality can't be ignored Credit: Jamie Harris / The Sun 5 The design is truly unique in a world of bland phones Credit: Jamie Harris / The Sun Well, no. Not the CMF Phone 2 Pro. For those who don't know about CMF, it's the budget brand of young London-based phone makers As The Sun's main Android smartphone reviewer I get my hands on loads of mobiles all the time. Read more about Android The CMF Phone 2 Pro represents the best value for money I've seen this year by a mile. Advertisement Of course, there are certain features that aren't as good as other phones out there but it's a solid option for anyone wanting to save the pounds - and proof once again that you don't need to break the bank to buy a decent handset. Here's what I made of the CMF Phone 2 Pro after spending a week with it. CMF Phone 2 Pro: Look and feel The CMF Phone 2 Pro is anything but boring with a bold eye-catching design. Most read in Phones & Gadgets It's rugged and industrial looking, with exposed screws - and I love it. Advertisement Another unique selling point is the accessories to match, with a wallet and stand, a lanyard and interchangeable lenses available as optional extras. At 185g, it feels pretty light too but remains quite sturdy. However, the rating for resistance to dust and water is on the low side compared to rivals - the official rating is IP54 which means it can only withstand light dust and Meanwhile, the display is bright and sharp for watching videos on. Advertisement Android owners call Google's 'Circle Search' trick 'insanely useful' and say best way to use it 'made my life so easy' CMF Phone 2 Pro: Performance and features The chip on the inside keeps things running pretty smoothly despite not being one of the top end processors around. I navigated from app to app without any lagging or problems. The CMF Phone 2 Pro runs on Nothing's own version of This brings with it Nothing's unique design - and it's one of the few twists on Android's core look that I actually like. Advertisement Under the surface, you get all the same Nothing has committed to provide the device with three years of Android updates and six years of security updates, which is less than many other brands around - though the latter six years will keep you going for sometime. Who offers free updates longest? The longer you receive updates, the longer you can safely continue using your smartphone - with the latest features thrown in too for free. Samsung For the Galaxy S25 series, Samsung said it would provide at least seven generations of OS updates and seven years of security updates. OnePlus At the launch of the OnePlus 13, OnePlus committed to at least four years of Android updates and six years of security updates. Xiaomi Xiaomi offers four years off Android updates and five years security updates. Google For the Pixel 9 series, Google said that devices would receive at least seven years of support. CMF Phone 2 Pro: Battery The CMF Phone 2 Pro has a pretty standard battery by Android standards these days on paper, at 5,000 mAh. In reality, that kept me going for a whole day and then some based on general usage such as occasional web browsing, Advertisement There is no charger in the box. With up to 33 watt charging speeds, I managed to get full battery again in just over an hour. It still packs a mighty punch for such a price - and in this day and age, you really wouldn't tell it cost so little CMF Phone 2 Pro: Camera The camera on the CMF Phone 2 Pro does the job - and by that I mean, the results don't wow me but they don't disappoint either. But in the context of price the camera is pretty good indeed. Advertisement There's a 50-megapixel wide lens, a 50-megapixel telephoto snapper and an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera. Taking some photos in my garden and the results hit the spot, adequately capturing colour and detail, but slightly lacking a bit of oomph. 5 Pictures hit the spot Credit: Jamie Harris / The Sun 5 Detail and colour pretty well captured here Credit: Jamie Harris / The Sun Advertisement 5 This static shot feels a bit blurred Credit: Jamie Harris / The Sun CMF Phone 2 Pro: Price The CMF Phone 2 Pro starts from just £219 for the 128GB storage option. But for only £30 extra you can double the storage to 256GB, making the total price £249. There are four colours: Advertisement Black Orange White Light Green CMF Phone 2 Pro: Verdict At £250 for the highest storage option, the CMF Phone 2 Pro is a no-brainer for anyone who wants a decent smartphone without paying through the roof I adore the unique design of the handset that makes it truly stand out among the crowd. Sure, the photos aren't as impressive as other handsets. And it's lacking tougher water resistance. But it still packs a mighty punch for such a price - and in this day and age, you really wouldn't tell it cost so little. Rating: 4.5 / 5 All prices in this article were correct at the time of writing, but may have since changed. Always do your own research before making any purchase.
